HALLELUJAH! Oh yessss! That's the Professor! Dearly loved & appreciated me some Bro. Nash Shaffer! The Lord trained & released me in the prophetic under Nash's music mantle the years he served as one of our musicians & Choir directors at my home church Vernon Park COG, Chicago IL. Traditional gospel, hymns, anthems was my rich diet under this anointed man of God....so so so grateful for my gospel roots and for all of my teachers...so so so grateful to God for blessing & transforming my life through Nash Shaffer. Rest With Jesus Bro. Nash....see you in the morning.
I've known "of" the Barrett Sisters for years---but tell me why only in the last year have I really listened to them and recently fallen head over heels in love with them? Because I hadn't run across a video like this one. This is gospel music at its finest!
Ill never hear enough ..true ANGELS..have my feet tapping every time..ive got a new HOME over in GLORY....not made by human hands!! HALLALUGIA KING JESUS!!
Thank God I got the chance to see the Barrett sister's at the Chicago Gospel fair once... They were awesome then as they are now. .blessed and a blessing!
Yeah I know...then right after that I think the "Awakening" would come on. I loved that show, because as a teen it was nice to watch something that was actually relatable to us and still teach God's message.
and as you can see in this video, the late mama Delois(in the middle) stood up but kinda hunch over quite a bit which is indicated of the arthritis..over a year and year she's started to sit on chair while performing bcause of her knees became weaker and weaker as times going by before she had her wheelchair...But glory to God, she's still going strong until her last breath and she's truly a woman of God🙏🏻Rest in peace Mama Delois and Mama Billie (on right)🙏🏻🙌🏻
The host's fake and affected accent is killing me! He must've been exhausted at the end of the show! Thank God the 70's, 80's and 90's are over--back when white people pretended they couldn't understand African Americans if we didn't use an affected accent. This music is LIFE, y'all hear me?
The host (Taft Harris) wasn't using a "fake accent" and he isn't white. Taft had worked in radio for many years and was General Manager of WYCA ( a major market station) in the Greater Chicagoland/Indiana region. That's the way he talked all the time. He's originally from Houston, TX, and many radio people adjust their voices to serve a wider audience. It's not unusual in media driven industry.
I absolutely adored the Barrett Sisters!!! What an annointing!!
That's my late father Nash Shaffer on the organ

Wow"" 1 Person Dislikes!" I Wish UA-cam Had A Way We Can Know Who Are The Dislikes!"
A demon
Love these angelic voices. How did the middle sister end up in a wheelchair?
Uniq Delois had crippling arthritis in both knees. She struggled many years with it but it never slowed her down. She lived to be 85.
and as you can see in this video, the late mama Delois(in the middle) stood up but kinda hunch over quite a bit which is indicated of the arthritis..over a year and year she's started to sit on chair while performing bcause of her knees became weaker and weaker as times going by before she had her wheelchair...But glory to God, she's still going strong until her last breath and she's truly a woman of God🙏🏻Rest in peace Mama Delois and Mama Billie (on right)🙏🏻🙌🏻

Alternative could be that’s just how he spoke...?
That was his real voice.
