I really enjoy your videos. The music and your comments are always refreshing. Love it “there’s beer in the truck” a beer after an adventure is always the best!👍
Very nice. I just love these trip reports with these obscure trails in the Bitterroots. When I was younger, everything had to be so grand and majestic - the very qualities that make trails so crowded, especially here in western Washington. I’ve been paying a lot more attention to areas where I can just hang my hammock (where tents are tricky, even) and have some solitude.
Amen! I've grown to love these shoulder season hikes. In this particular area I've hit at least one of the trails every year for the past few years. Some turn out better than others, but for me the adventure is walking into the unknown!
Yay! I love your videos, thank you!! So happy to see Timber looking so happy & well! Your videos are my favorite, I really appreciate your editing, tempo, and music; great job!
Just discovered this channel and now addicted! Thanks so much for the beautiful footage and, most especially, for focusing on the wild flowers occasionally. Wish you all well.
Sweet! Nice to see some alpine! I finally got out backpacking for a 38 miler in four days in Canyonlands NP last week and it was so good to be back on trail. I can’t wait to camp in a forest and have a camp fire! You definitely had it to yourself! Good to see you out again!
that looked like some good grub you guys had there. Another great adventure and video! Are you guys getting the Alberta smoke? We are getting LOTS today, super sad.
When you're out there sleeping without a tarp and start to feel a couple drops of rain on your face, feel free to curse my name as you jump out of your hammock and string your tarp! 😂 That's happened a more than a few times...
Fun video! Double N J (no name Jason) didn't look as spry coming out as he did going in! lol. Nothing like the 100 yard blowdown hurtling event to put some hair on your chest. Needs to be an Olympic Sport.
It is best coming from the brewery, but they are expanding and getting their beers into more and more stores in Idaho. Hopefully they will move into Washington and Montana soon!
@@mountainwanderer Hope that's not a sign of things to come. My Whitefish MT friend says the Canada wildfire smoke has been horrible the past week or so.
It was a nice adventure, you should've been there! Though you would've lost at games just like Jason did! 😂 That fire starter is called a ferro rod. That one was gifted to Jason so I'm not sure where it came from.
Nice video. Hope all is well with you. I'm thinking maybe you did the "Atlas Shrugged" thing and just said 'I'm tired of carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders for everybody else. You f*ck heads are on your own'....shrug and let the world go. One thing is for sure, it's backpacking season......Woohoo! Tom

The beer right after a hike, might be one of my favorite parts of backpacking! 😂 🍻

I'm so glad that you found us! Thanks for coming along with us!
Thanks for sharing. Looks great out there. Nice to find a place to hang a hammock and have a campfire.
That's a fact!! Thanks for checking it out!
Looks like an awesome place to explore, thanks for the look around.
Thanks for watching!
Very cool! Looks like a great choice this time of year. Nice to not see snow down there. Great video! Hike on!
Yeah, it looked like the snow was well above us. No snow even in the most shady spots.
Great to see an early summer hike, especially in Montana! Thank you for taking us along!
It really was a beautiful trip! Looking forward to being able to get deeper in to the mountains!
Very beautiful nature
Thanks for checking it out!
Your truly right, nothing like sleeping under the stars! Wonderful spring trip, thanks for sharing. :) :)
I'm hoping to sleep out under the stars again soon!
@@mountainwanderer Awesome! I will get there as well this weekend. :) :)
I sure enjoy your videos. That was some beautiful country. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Beautiful nature!
Spring is looking good in the Bitterroot.👍
Indeed it is! Thanks for checking it out!

It's always so nice coming out of winter, and you finally can just hike a bit and work out the kinks!
@@mountainwanderer indeed! Though I might have over done it this time. 38 miles might have been a bit much right out of the gate! 🤣
It's a hell of a start for sure!

Oh yeah - smoke rolled in last night - feels like it's august and we're in the middle of fire season.
Awesome 🏔🌲 video bro 👍🏽🤙🏽✌🏽1
Thanks for checking it out!
Wow Travis another fantastic trip even with the blowdowns. Got the blood moving I will bet. I try to not use my tarp when I can too. 😊

@@mountainwanderer duly noted LOL
Thought it was time for a trip. Timber looked good, bet he was ready.
Oh and nice Polygonia butterfly shot.
We were all ready to stretch our legs a bit! That butterfly shot was for you!
@@mountainwanderer Thanks, really appreciated.
@@bobparsons77 We saw a bunch of small purple butterflies too (I'm sure you know the name), but I couldn't get any good shots of them.
@@mountainwanderer Various Blue species are early arrivals.
Ready to get back into some hiking myself. Done some short state park stuff. But ready to find a national forest.
The mountains are calling!

I didn't get nearly enough footage of the bushwhack to put it into perspective, but it whipped us both!
@@mountainwanderer It's good for the soul...kinda like tangelin with a grizz...makes ya feel alive.
@@hyoh-wu It was like that, but opposite...
Man, I need to get back to Kellogg to pick up some of that brew.
It is best coming from the brewery, but they are expanding and getting their beers into more and more stores in Idaho. Hopefully they will move into Washington and Montana soon!
@@mountainwanderer I look forward to that, but I also like the reason to stop when passing through.
I'll say the snowpack is fading fast! All caught up on your channel.
I wish I had recorded some footage of the pass when we went over it. Shocking just how much snow had melted in just a couple weeks!
@@mountainwanderer Hope that's not a sign of things to come. My Whitefish MT friend says the Canada wildfire smoke has been horrible the past week or so.
@@DrJohn493 We've been hit with that smoke here too. It's been as bad as when there are fires close to us.
Looked like a nice little adventure. What kind of device were ya'll using to start the fire? Flint I know but where can I find one?
It was a nice adventure, you should've been there! Though you would've lost at games just like Jason did! 😂 That fire starter is called a ferro rod. That one was gifted to Jason so I'm not sure where it came from.
@Mountain Wanderer Haha I'm pretty sure that I would've won. I still have champion status
♥!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!

Yep, sometimes I just have to cut my own trail, and I have no problem with that! It's definitely time to get up into the high country!
Torfino=151=Little Heart
Unfortunately... I don't know what that means.

No gold this time!
@@mountainwanderer lol, hope all is well or better 🌧☀
We're getting there!
