I’m a Singaporean and occasionally fly with SIA. However, I was very impressed with ANA’s entertainment system and food. I was hard pressed to even say that they’re one of the best airlines, alongside SIA.
I love the smile, attention and care of the flight attendant that took care of you. Her professionalism and way of interacting is so original and top of class. It touched me.
I’ve only flown with ANA once, and I can say for sure it was the best flight I ever had. Service was incredible, and their food was beautiful and delicious.
Hi Sam, Im from the philippines, as a kid growing up, i have always been fascinated by airplanes up until today. Im just so amazed by its mega structure, the technology, comfort and the sound of its engine is sweet music to my ear. Believe it or not, up until now, everytime i get a chance to travel, i still get that excitement from waking up early because im too excited to get to the airport, hear the call for "BOARDING" from the airline staff, being on the plane and the feel of calmness when im up above the air. Im just sharing a little bit of my love for aviation and airplanes to you because your channel has given me inspiration, insights and informative details about flying, though i don't have the means to travel and experience 1st class flights but watching your videos feels like i have already experienced first hand on what its like to travel first class. This is astounding! The lounge experience. The smiling, attentive, helpful flight attendants and ground staff. The amazing business-class seats. The food! As an American who flies United almost exclusively, both domestic and international, this level of customer experience is so far above anything I've experienced. I'm gobsmacked by the contrast.
I don't know about ANA airlines, but the Peninsula Hotel in HK has a "employee first" policy. They treat them like a big family and when the employees are happy, the good vibes will spread over to the guests.

i never took ANA before but my brother often fly with ANA and he did say that the service is exceptional...like very very good service...making the others look like nothing.And the pilots are very very good too...landings are very soft and nice.
I think it has something to do with the door being stuck in an emergency. You have to have a second exit, according to various FAA exemptions. For first class, this is fine because there are usually 2 doors that close together, so you can always just open the one. (Except the new Emirates 777 First, where the "hatch" serves as the escape route. Business Class seats (Delta One, Qatar Qsuite, Club World Suite, China Southern? and ANA) have only 1 door. As such, the gap allows for better sightlines in an emergency, and for the door to be easily pushed open. The doors (legally furniture enclosing a seat) have to be latched open for TTL, but cannot have any mechanism that keeps them closed
What a fascinating career path that sees someone from the Isle of Wight working as cabin crew for ANA! Very enjoyable video Sam, the quality of those entertainment screens combined with the outside footage is just stunning. I hope we see more airlines catering to avgeeks in this way!

I might be the only one but I just watch these videos to help with my fright of flight. I absolutely hate flying but watching these vids really help me out.
I just flew to the U.S. and back on ANA, and in my own "room" just like this one. Absolute Heaven compared to anything I've ever experienced on the other 60+ trans-Pacific flights I've taken over the years, and most of those were pretty good.
I am really impressed withe quality of service on ANA. I cant wait to try "the ROOM" as this is probably Superior to the already classy AIR FRANCE Business Class. Not to mention the food. Thank you Sam !

Thank you, Sam your video just great! I am not getting much budget for air tickets, so I always flight with low-cost airlines. But a trip from Hong Kong to Japan with ANA economy class just impressed me. The first impression is the BGM, yeah you not getting it wrong the BGM in the plane. Just something telling you, you're home now. That moment with ANA is the first time I fly Boeing 787 Dreamliner, just amazing. Inside the plane so quiet and the moistening in the room just set it up well unlike other airliners so dry. I remember I am very lucky with I am the only passenger in the row! Both return flight also! So I got very much extra space for me even with economy class. The 5th Japan trip, 3rd snowboard trip for me this year February start from ANA and ends with ANA too. I really appreciate the great service and great experience of ANA.

Car Kiruks such a great airline i live in michigan and my parents live in seoul and i usually take korean air to home cuz their crew are really kindly, but i'm thinking of taking ana to haneda and transfering to seoul. I'd love to take the ana new business class that is much better than ke's prestige class oh crap they're star alliance unable to take
Can you tell why? I prefer the 787-8: much cheaper, more fuel efficient, more modern, biggest windows and can go everywhere the 777-300ER can even more as it can land in more airports. The only advantage for the triple 7 is he can carry more passengers. But since customers prefer point to point than hub and spokes nowdays, the dreamliner seems more adapted to current market.
I switched all my loyalty programs to ANA this year. The service improvements are now competitive with the world's best like SQ and EK. Attention to detail, clean, good food, finally updated equipment. I'm not the only person doing this - getting reservations has been noticeably more difficult lately and prices have gone up. Diamond status is pretty good, although there are a lot of Diamonds. The A380 service from NRT/HNL is super and can say for the first time I wish my flight was longer.

My first solo trip ever was to Japan on ANA. You will be well taken care of, airports are really easy and straightforward, and Japan is great you won't have any issues at all. Have fun! (Oh I see close enough!)
Another really great detail about ANA is that the flight attendants try their very best to wipe down and clean each lavatory between uses - both in economy and business.

For those of us pilots who are interested in aircraft performance and engineering, it would be great if you would spend a few extra seconds showing the entire T-O through second segment climb at least and on approach just a few extra seconds. And yes we do love the GE-90 sound.

We were just at the Haneda ANA Lounge a couple weeks ago! I thought it was one of the best lounges that we've used before. The food options were great and we used the shower facilities there as well. The shower was the best part as it was an overnight flight and we had a full day in the hot weather. This allowed us to be fresh for the flight! Thanks for showing us this new ANA flight option.
@@lindblomdan Singapore supposedly lacks consistency. Their newly upgraded planes (A350, A380) are excellent indeed. But the older ones (regional 777s and A330s) feature rather old IFEs and amenities, not very good to fly on.
@@k9healthy I strongly disagree. Singapore's new A380 Business seats are really good and comfortable along with their service and food. I even had entertainment that was still in the cinema in my home country but yet could still watch on the plane. I have also flown in the new Singapore A380 Suite class - whilst very comfortable, I don't think it was worth the money for a little bit of extra comfort. SIA Business class is great already. Also, Qantas' new business seats are really good and I'd highly rate them as well as a close 2nd to SIA.
No problem at all, during rotate you may feel a few seconds of leaning downwards due to the reverse facing position. But other than that, I didn't have any problem.

Hi Sam! I'm a Japanese common people, so there is little opportunity to ride in business class. I have never left Asia, but when I go to Europe I want to go in business class so as not to hurt my back. (I ride ever economy class seats.) Thank you for wonderful dream. ANA is very good!

Just flew back from Tokyo on a business trip. I had ANA's business class "room" both ways and it was the best! The only way to take a 10+ hour flight!

I am loving all your videos Sam. Going back through your whole collection.
We were just at the Haneda ANA Lounge a couple weeks ago! I thought it was one of the best lounges that we've used before. The food options were great and we used the shower facilities there as well. The shower was the best part as it was an overnight flight and we had a full day in the hot weather. This allowed us to be fresh for the flight!

@@lindblomdan Singapore supposedly lacks consistency.
Their newly upgraded planes (A350, A380) are excellent indeed. But the older ones (regional 777s and A330s) feature rather old IFEs and amenities, not very good to fly on.

ANA is without question one of the world’s finest airlines.
@@k9healthy I strongly disagree. Singapore's new A380 Business seats are really good and comfortable along with their service and food. I even had entertainment that was still in the cinema in my home country but yet could still watch on the plane. I have also flown in the new Singapore A380 Suite class - whilst very comfortable, I don't think it was worth the money for a little bit of extra comfort. SIA Business class is great already. Also, Qantas' new business seats are really good and I'd highly rate them as well as a close 2nd to SIA.

May i know what is your feeling when you take off and landing backward seat position?
No problem at all, during rotate you may feel a few seconds of leaning downwards due to the reverse facing position. But other than that, I didn't have any problem.
I feel exciting feelings that I would feel before my flight from this video as one Japanese.

I'm a Japanese common people, so there is little opportunity to ride in business class.
I have never left Asia, but when I go to Europe I want to go in business class so as not to hurt my back. (I ride ever economy class seats.)
