The tears are not of sadness - he explains this in the video - It is of victory. Victory tears!🥹❤️ And it has nothing to do with his father's death... Daniel went through a deep, truly devastating depression... he realized it, wanted out, asked for and received "help". He himself is "reborn", with a new life ahead of him. With a sense of "mission", he Is a warrior of the Light who finds his way and distributes drops of healing energy and personal power to all people - in every note and in every syllable spoken. Thank you for your reaction. Hugs from Curitiba - Brazil 🇧🇷
Thanks for sharing. Has Dan made more than one cover for this song? The one I've been watching doesn't have an explanation. I would love to see that. Do you happen to remember what video it was part of? I know he has so many videos.
He has the most beautiful voice in the world. Not a day goes by that I don't fill my heart and soul with Dan's performances. Grandmasgotgrace knows whats good.
I am so glad that you reacted to this cover. I had requested on your channel before and I had mentioned also it was not a Christian song, but somehow I love the emotion that Dan portrays with his amazing voice. This has to be one of my top favorites from him, super epic how Dan would describe it!❤️🙏 Have you done a reaction to the musical Jesus Christ Superstar "Gethsemane" by Dan? That would be my suggestion, thank you
A note on Rhapsody of Fire and their mythos. They're an Italian power metal band, known for putting out albums that are Tolkien style stories and follow on each other. This song is the one were Dargor the half-demon, the antagonist from the earlier albums, puts his soul in the hands of the Angels dies and is reborn as the hero that will eventually lead the forces of light to victory. There is a Dan Vasc cover of Dawn of Victory in a duet with Fabio Lione, the original Rhapsody singer and one of his main influences. Fabio is with Brazilian power metal giants Angra now.
Yes! Exactly! I read about that, just before making my request. That, tied in with the biblical "son of pain," from 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, kind of gives me a hint of where that character came from. It's completely permissible to quote less than 500 verses of scripture under the NKJV copyright general permissions, so here's how those two verses read (the name "Jabez" means,"he will cause pain," and the word "territory" means, "borders."): 9 "Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, 'Because I bore him in pain.' 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!' So God granted him what he requested."
Great reaction! Dan has a way of making every single song he sings his own. Thanks to him, I now know that Rhapsody of Fire is a band, a very good band.
Notice toward the end, Dan lets his tears fall, that shows his strength as a man. He could have edited that out but he didn't, I have so much respect for that. He was definitely drawing on the death of his father with this song.
Absolutely! Dan is a fearless person, he opens up his heart, his soul and lives under his own truth, no matter whether it pleases others or not. He is always who he really is, when he sings, when he talks to his fans, when he’s sad and when he’s happy, he’s not afraid of being a human with all the inherent attributes. Probably that’s why it’s so easy to feel close to him and affectionate. Dan teaches us so much.
@@gametchanger Ok. I’m watching your reaction of this song for the first time this morning. I couldn’t imagine why you didn’t comment on the emotion Dan exudes during this song. Now I see, you hadn’t noticed the unchecked tears. Thank you for your reaction. I really appreciate your channel.
Thank you for doing this for us not feeling good may god touch you with his healing hand keep them coming more Dan Vasc that is he is risen indeed ALLEUIA
Thank you for a Christian perspective for this song based on myth. Dan's emotional rendition of this is so powerful he actually cries. It obviously has strong meaning for him and he conveys that beautifully.
His voice is phenomenal to say the least. Whoever his trainer was, because he has had training, made him the best singer in every genre there is or ever was in my book!!
Fantastic reaction. I absolutely love this performance but I always have to be prepared before watching it. It is number 2 on my makes me cry list of Dan Vasc performances. Can't wait for the next one. Hail❤️🤘✝️
Great choice for a reaction and a great reaction as well. Dan appears to be emotionally overcome by the end of the song and listening to the lyrics I can’t help but think that this is related to his father’s death from cancer less than two years before. He has said elsewhere that was the catalyst for him to buckle down and devote himself to earning his living through his UA-cam channel. He regrets that his father did not live to see his success. I hope he believes that his father does know. 😢
Yes! I entirely agree! When watching Dan's tribute to his father (published on October 9, 2017--just six days after his father had passed away), you can see how very hard it was for him all the way through, but especially, right at the point where he had to come back in after the instrumental interlude, to sing the final chorus." Oh, my word! I go and watch it almost every day, because it's so beautiful, and I end up crying every time--right along with Dan. Same with this one, which, like you, I connect with the same incident in Dan's life.
@@fionadeveney8067Dan’s father died of cancer in Oct 2017. His father loved Elvis and An American Trilogy was one of his favorite songs. Dan was in tears by the end of the song. After that video came out, a listener named Annie wrote a comment about how much her husband loved Dan’s cover of An American Trilogy. Annie’s husband was dying and wanted permission to use that song at his service. Dan contacted her. Then he recorded Love Me Tender and dedicated it to Annie and Robert. He was very emotional when he sang that song, too. The emotions in his singing is what keeps me coming back to listen again and again.
I have had some of Dan's fans get on my email without me knowing how but I had a gentleman say " Careful this isn,t Dan so I simply replied back,"Careful this is not Karen " Never seen anything if him after that.
I think it's about suicide, but I like how you put it. I've been thinking the same thing as you about the things that you can put Jesus in that. Just want you to know, I'll pray for your fast recovery. God bless you and your family.
