Awww...Yeah...It's Fredday Again...ha ha ha! Fred, Thank you my friend 🥲! You always catch me in my feelings when you mention my 911 project "Eugene" and my late Dad! 🥲 I really appreciate that! You are 100% correct about our meeting up at MacMulkin! I absolutely knew who you were...ha ha ha! I spotted your Tacoma TRD Pro and you from inside the dealership when I was walking out! Yikes, as you mentioned you share a lot of yourself on the channel, so for me it's like, Hey there's my buddy Fred! For you, it's like, Shane and I chat on the channel, email, or FB messenger, but...who is this guy...ha ha ha! Anyway, as I mentioned, Thank you for being exactly the same outgoing, high energy, vibrant guy both on channel and in real life! For me, It was like watching an episode of Fred's Full Throttle in super HD, except with great Mexican food and Taco's, so it was way better...ha ha ha🤣 It was great discussing many aspects of your channel/life in person over great food! Kudo's on the restaurant choice for sure! Ok, so about the Z06 and it's STELLAR LL at VIR! Great results and news for sure! I thought the car was going to be pretty great, but still there's a small part of me that thinks, it's the highest naturally aspirated FPC engine with high vibrations! How is that going to hold up? Do I really need that for my intended us of the car? What's the long term maintenance going to look like? But, with my allocations being higher on the lists, I'm a good several years away and can make those decision's as time goes on and I see how my use of the car or mainly wants/desires are...ha ha ha. Lastly, and most importantly, great news on the Race of the Lemons 😂 and your current progress and status of the car. That's really great news and I'm digging the footage of everything. My pleasure man, and I'm so glad I could even begin to capture what a great day that was for both of us! The Lemons updates will be coming with every video! Also, thanks for giving me the chance to meet you as well, and being just the same great person as you are in the comments/emails! Have a great weekend man, talk to you soon! -Fred

Yeah, I was really interested to see the relative times, especially the GT4 RS. Anything with a 4.0L flat 6 from Stuttgart is guaranteed amazing, light, razor sharp, and the Z still managed to beat it on the track. Very impressive! Congrats on the great spot in line! -Fred
Great session Fred! Continuing to enjoy your thoughtful and thought provoking approach to your content. Always look forward to the next upload and appreciate all the work that goes into making them.
Thanks Bill, really glad you enjoyed it! :) Heh, I try to make the type of videos that I would enjoy watching, and am glad that it's resonating. Now that I'm every other week, I'm enjoying making somewhat longer videos (13-20 min) vs what I was previously (6-14 min). How does the time feel? Is it too long? Do you lose interest at some point? Or does it seem reasonable? I realize everyone's attention span is different, but I'm enjoying the somewhat longer format, so thanks for watching! Have a great weekend! - Fred
Fred, Just a quick comment about the ADM. The rumor mill around here is that the local dealer, which is #23 on the Top 100 list, has an ADM of $100K. When I looked at the last update on Z06 sales MacMulkin had received ~5.6% of production. The local dealer was zero. Maybe GM is moving more Z06s to MSRP dealers? As you know I was excited seeing the lightning lap results! Keep in mind that Tadge said that the C8 Z06 would tie the C7 ZR1 for the fastest lap. Seeing the Z06 put in a faster lap was sweet! As you can imagine I am even more anxious now! I am truly impressed with the progress that your team has made with the car for the 24 Hours of Lemons. As much as I love driving at Road Atlanta, I kid around saying that I am the "Cole Trickle" of the track. My automotive engineering knowledge would fill a thimble! LOL Sully
Hey PMTD1234 👋What I found interesting is if MacMulkin is getting 5.6% of productions, that's nearly a 1/3 of the Z06's produced if my information of 18% Z06's in total produced in accurate! -Shane
@@Hangin_With_Shane I think you misunderstood. I was talking about just the Z06. MM received ~5.6% of Z06s. This was through Feb 1st. Z06 production through Feb 16 is 1160. With the forecasted production through March 17th will bring it to 1685. It looks like the plant wants to produced 25 Z06s a day.
Hi Sully! That's a really interesting point about dealerships. I'm sure GM has data floated back up to them either about sale prices for vehicles, or listed prices (through some sort of website aggregation and metrics tracking, or some other means). It wouldn't shock me if they were "less inclined" to send as many cars to the deep gougers... Totally agree on the LL (and even the PCOTY). The Z truly dominated, and I think the accolades are very well deserved. I thought of you when I saw the LL results, knowing how much the track performance matters to you! I'm very happy that it delivered on all the promises they were making! Thanks for the kind words on the Lemons stuff. This weekend we have a lot planned and I'll be potentially doing some normal speed filming of what we're doing. We're going full tilt, especially while the enthusiasm is high. Having a team means that we all lift each other up too, so the hype keeps building! Haha, I hear you on the automotive experience, it's something I've wanted to grow for a while, but never had the right way to do it. This turns out to be JUST the right outlet! Another excellent video. I’m excited for your 24hr car. It really sounds like fun. I’d welcome more “man on the street” from your visit to MM on camp out night (btw, it was 1/30/23 😜).
Thanks Bill! Once driving season opens up, I'll certainly have more "Fred doing stuff" videos. I have some fun things planned for this year, and I'm sure I'll have some interesting opportunities (potentially in a Z06 no less), so stay tuned! -Fred
Hi Fred, great content today as usual. I'm sorry to hear about your second thoughts on the Z. I must say, I too have had second thoughts on getting it as my number gets closer and closer, but the amazing results from the car mags you discussed have me back on the wagon for now.. I hope you do get it. I'm hoping that residual values stay high because of the unique characteristics and desirability of it. That way, if I get in a bind I don't lose my ass on it if I need to sell.
Thanks Jesse, much appreciated (the kind compliments, and the perspective/thoughts on the Z). The good news is that with the long wait for me (probably still 2-3 years out), is that I have lots more time to keep saving, and am very good at saving. My hope (unrealistic as it may or may not be) is that I can do the garage, and get the Z, and keep the C7. That'd be the best of all 3 worlds. I do think the Z will be one of those cars that just beats out the market value-wise, and may even be a once in a generation type of breakthrough car. I'm with you on that hope! Have a nice weekend! -Fred
Fred you do bring some interesting content to the airways. I enjoyed the video today. You mentioned about second thoughts about the Z06. In my situation I always enjoy the hunt more then the item I am hunting. Weather it be items for my garage or the search for my C8. I waited over 13 and a half months for my 70th Anniversary C8. Now that I have my C8 where do I go from here. The quest is undecided. Good luck in your Lemon 500 event. Is this a series of races or just one. Maybe we can share a drink of something one day.

Something I try to challenge myself to focus on is enjoying things I have, versus getting caught up in the things that haven't happened yet. Certainly I love looking forward to things, but it can be easy to forget how great things I already have are. I appreciate the support on the Lemons front! It is a series, though we're only targeting 2 races this year (August at Thompson, CT, and October at Louden, NH). The idea being this year is more of a "shakedown" and learn the car year, and then hopefully next year be a bit more frequent and maybe do the northeast series. I will definitely keep the channel posted with the progress, of not just the build, but also the racing! Would be happy to grab a drink with you should we get the chance! Hi Fred....Interesting stuff! You would hope that the percentage of cars that would have to go back to the manufacturer by the Lemon Law would be pretty small. The manufacturers should require that the dealers step up to cover the amount over the MSRP that has to be returned to the customer. I would bet that in any such events that may have occurred, that the manufacturer made it known to the dealer that they were certainly not going to keep a pile of money that they collected over MSRP...one way or another it was going to go back to the manufacturer who had to pay out. Resisting this sure would not be a way for a dealer to get his allocations increased. ADM link...Holy molly, that's a long video. Liked hearing the LT6 compared to the early 60's Mystery Motor. Wouldn't it have been nice if the economy had been different and we had the mid engine years ago and the LT6 long before now as well. Will a LT7 improve on this engine or just add turbos. With the EV's coming up, will anything take the crown away from the Z06 as a naturally aspirated supercar.
Hi Tofu, My hope is that as production continues, build rates increase, some people on lists change their minds, and the numbers start burning down faster. Already I'm seeing the second hand used market prices soften, even week by week, and while a few headline cars are fetching ridiculous numbers, overall prices above MSRP are already slumping. Hang in there, I think it will move faster over time, but yes there's likely a few years to wait. Have a nice day, thanks for reaching out! -Fred

Plus, the idea of being able to build a dedicated space for cars and bikes, plus then being able to buy a couple other fun cars or project cars, and keep the C7 sounds pretty wonderful to me. With the lemons project we're doing, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable with tearing a car apart to work on it, and I love the idea of something different, powerful, and loud. One other really enticing aspect is that I'll be able to afford to really build exactly the garage I want. With a lift, a dedicated filming space for UA-cam (the neon sign is something I planned to put up on the wall), a spot for several motorcycles, and doing some really fun/cool stuff with decor. My current garage is better suited for my woodworking, and normal "garage stuff". Having a gearhead space sounds great. Sorry to ramble, but I want to add: none of this takes away from the Z06, or my love for it. If I can somehow swing the money for both, then I'll do that. There's an outside chance that some investments may pay off, and selling a small portion of those would easily pay for the Z, but that's not a sure thing between now and then. I love the Z, and even if I never get one, I will still always love the car. Hope that makes sense! Thanks for reaching out! -Fred
