東方Touhou [Rock/Electronic/Mixed] Innocent Treasures

Blast from the past! In two senses of the phrase, since apparently the channel is popular enough now that I start getting messages after 2 months asking if I'm doing okay. Heh... As I tend to say: I'm always here, always lurking. It's just very hard to sit down and upload, and especially think of something to say about the music, when my brain is fixated on some completely unrelated thing. Those of you who have been here longer are used to my uploading schedule by now.
Anyways. This was possibly the first Innocent Treasures arrangement I ever heard. You come for the Touhou, the Queen grabs your attention and you stay for the beautiful mixture of the two. "Buddy you're a boy" is indefinitely stuck in my brain thanks to this track.
Mohican Sandbag was such a huge hit when they were active in 2007-2011, most known for mixing genres and especially for mixing Touhou tracks with motifs from western pop culture. (search their track 誰かが月に狂気 if you're wondering how well Invisible Full Moon meshes with Imperial March from Star Wars)
I recently (aka within the last year) got my hands on their discography and have been plowing through them slowly. A lot of their early stuff is the kind of music where you hardly ever fall in love on the first listen, but it grows on you over time. I wish we would have more circles like this nowadays, just mishmashing things together and making something a bit funny but iconic in the process.
