- After taking in all your feedback about things I wasn't aware of while making my first video, and about the quality as well (admittedly was worse due to lack of knowledge about the editor I was new to using), I have made a revised version of this video here.

You can equip the horse item to the pouch on the right side of the start menu, this lets you push triangle or Y and a direction on the D pad to mount up instead of having to switch through flasks every time

At first this game was frustrating as hell for me. Though slowly as I started to learn the mechanics, this game started to blow me away with the quality and variety of environments. I’m loving it now.
u can also summon other players to help out ... co op is really good to overcome difficult situations

Same bro, I deleted the game minutes after I installed it, because I was getting 40-50 fps and I just didn't like the game and now I am loving it even with 40-50 fps
It's definitely a good challenge that starts off very frustrating but the more you learn the better the game becomes. I love the world design and how intricate everything is. There's worlds within worlds, nooks and crannies, hidden pathways and dungeons everything you want in an adventure open world game. I haven't found one hidden cave behind a waterfall yet tho. There's bound to be at least one.
I put it down 3 times it was so frustrating. But kept at it and now its actually starting to become fun. Barely got anywhere but I'm happy about that. Means It'll get better and better.
If you have enough faith using the incantation "flame cleanse me" to get rid on scarlet rot is a really easy way to get through this dungeon.

Don't jump spam through swamps it still builds up, use a quickstep weapon art or just run. You can use a quick slot for you horse and other items to save space on your hot bar. Use a lantern/torch in caves to be able to see better.
There is also a hip lantern I found in one of the shops around the map

Jumping definitely reduces the buildup, but I did hear quickstep is faster.
@@TRGamer1 It does not, the bar still fills even while airborne after jumping from inside the swamp(s) have been testing this extensively for hours. Sprinting and Quicksteping is defiently the way to go about it, regardless of if it lessens build up you're also taking longer to traverse the swamp becuase of how slow consecutive jumping is meaning even if it did lessen build up you're in the swamp for longer which in the end gives no benefit

Buy a lantern.
And use the pouch for quick item usage. Cycling through items to use the horse is fine, but there's just a way better way to do it. Unless you don't care about QoL, that is.
Or at the very least use a torch if u are making a video on how to find something. Garbage video

The best advice I can give with the boss is you need to wait for an opening that your wolf or any summon gives you to attack. Keep your shield up until its time to attack again to block the other boss's attacks. Good Luck.
I used Oleg to fight one, and fought the other myself. Their health isn't that high.
If you’re later in the game, just use the mimic. You can lvl it to 10 pretty quickly with Ranni’s quest line

That poison swamp was harder than the boss.

How is it that "abandoned caves" are never actually abandoned when you get there?
This is EASILY the best item in the game for people like me who like grinding! I was wondering what the equivalent of the Silver Serpent Ring from DS/Borne was in this game
There's also the Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot, which does the same thing & stacks with this talisman too, unfortunately I haven't seen very many & idk if there's a crafting recipe for it or not.
@@RustyMerc4Hire go down to the beach NW of starting spot basically. Go south once on sand Pass the merchant under a bridge and towards the waters edge, there’s a pack of skeletons lying around guarding gold pickled fowl foot

Thanks for the guide! I used a dagger to quickstep my way through the scarlet rot and used a Mad pumpkin head summon for my fellow spellblades!

@@shawnkelley7909 the ring of sacrifice equivalent in this game confused me at first, I thought it was a consumable and not a talisman. It took me forever to finally find it in my inventory 😂
And for your next character you can start with the Scarab as your bonus at the beginning. It's what I selected.
Make sure you guys are farming fruit where you get golden firefly and the birds while you are farming the Boulder. You want to make the pickled feet on the move to save time and get more runes.
Don't skip the items in this cave. There are weapons to collect. A bow and a claw!

@@skelybones2122 uuuh you need a stonesword key, and it's in the basement of some ruins with lots of turtles around, i don't remember which ruins...

Great video, my advice is to seek out maps located at the pillars highliated on the map, zoom out of the map for players to find, and add its stats in title for more clicks

@@TRGamer1 yeah zooming out is what I constantly wait for someone to do and when they don’t it sucks, because I could be on a whole other side of the map and spend 16 minutes figuring out where I am compared to the map of the guide
Nice tip: Your horse heals every time you heal
Dismounting and remounting full heals torrent plus you get massive I-frames during animation
I found that cave and collected a few items before getting destroyed by the boss. I finally have a few items to keep the rot away so I might make a run for that scarab soon.
Go for it.
Get cleanse me fire spell. It clears the rot.

A great tip for anybody watching this if you go pick up the flame cleanse me spell it is a major help not only for scarlet rot but poison or any other ailment like that
If you put your steed whistle in the top left equipment slot for items, you can press and hold down on the d pad to instantly switch to it at any time. Same goes for other items of importance.

@capt truth a little, but if you have summon specially the 2 undead it will be easy I think it took me 3 tries, there are 2 of them so kill the range first.

jumping does not help you through the rot pools just run. (rolling will cover you in it so avoid at all costs)
Dagger quickstep is amazing as usual for these kind of areas

Killed the boss thanks to my wolves, glad I don't have to run through that again, picked up 1 item and almost died
It does get wicked in there for sure.
Couple of tips for a video like this: use the pouch to summon Torrent to free valuable space in your quick items!
Just zap to the dungeon. It was pretty clear where it's located.
And lastly: use the lantern in a dark dungeon so we see where you're going.
I found showing me the route very useful. A couple of these videos have shown the location and TP'D, and I have run completely the wrong way to get there.
Space for quick items is only necessary if you constantly use items. I have one item on the quickslot and it's my flask.

Tip run at the cliff jump to the small leg and than walk across the rat at the very beginning you do this and you'll make it across without rot no need to back dash or roll just walk, if it spews wait 3s than walk.
For the boss use the jellyfish thing, and fire balls

I wonder how people find this stuff. Like the first guy that played did he get all this before his play through? Or do they just discover things and remember locations and such and do a rerun? Does this game have replayability like new game+ or would it be starting over with a new build each time?

What can I use to keep the rot away. It builds up so quickly and have to use at least 2/3 flasks before even entering the boss. Im level 34, am I going in too early?
Get the quickstep ash of war-look up how to. Helped me a lot

Just get a dagger and use the special ability called quickstep.
Armor with high resistance like some robes or heavy armors give you a bigger bar.
I wonder if quickstep works in in pools

The helmet is "imp head" that drops from mobs throughout stormfoot catacombs.
The armour is a set called "Royal remains" there's a good guide for the amour on UA-cam

You get it from going back to Roundtable hold after getting half the medallion from the Village of the Albinaurics (a guy is hiding in a pot there).

Isnt the title a bit missleading. In order to beat up this boss you will need quite a level. So getting this item before starting farming is not possible or do i get sth wrong here?
You can have a strong weapon and beat the boss even if your level isnt high.
So that plus a golden pickled crows foot then killing the big white dragon should give u over 110k runes damn

i got it as a drop from one of the imp guys in nearly every dungeon/catacomb. it increases intelligence by i think 3 points? it called Imp Head (Cat) in my inventory

Thanks for guide. Just defeated boss with my op mage build fellow died in 3 shots with my magic spell lol. Time to do boulder farm. The other item in the cave is a claw with poison build up and bow weapon if anyone looking for an upgrade. Good idea to get them after boss kill

@Rah Rah well I'm a glass cannon so I got 10 vigor, 25 mind, 20 end, 52 int, from helmet which give 5 int. 15 base dex with 5 extra from a talisman, I use meteorite staff with the gravity spell forgot name fire 3 purple bombs. I use ash of determination on right weapon leave it active and then use staff for 60% extra dmg output lasts 10sec the buff. This build dies alot but once I know boss movements, their dead. Going to respec once I find the item. Have another build in mind. I also use also summons dog pack or 2 skeletons in current build.
@@ravisingh9953 those rocks are great against beasts. Aim for the head and stagger them with 2-3 hits.
You must get Lhutel spirit, is one the best tanks in game.

red boluses remove red rot buildup, also the jumping helps.
What’s the name of the site of grace you start at
I started at Astray from Caeld Highway North, but Smoldering Wall is easier, just didn't unlock it at the time, but it is right by the birds eye scope I showed in the video.
Used the moonveil's R2 attack plus some wolves was to kill em easily.
spammed rock sling on both of them the second they spawned and only the sickle one managed to get a single attack off

My man, get the hip lantern. At least gives you some light if you dont want to sacrifice your hand slots.
Does it give you away if you're trying to stealth? Almost bought one but I wasn't sure about stealth
@@dogs-game-too to be honest I don't know, anecdotal evidence seems no... Haven't done hard comparison but when I'm doing the stealthy stealth it didn't seem like it.
@@dogs-game-too but, good advice, enemies are sound sensitive. So if you find yourself knowing something is there and don't want to grab aggro, try hitting a wall or something near by. It'll redirect attention and let you sneak by or back stab.
@@hdb999 That's actually amazing advice. I like that you can hold circle to move faster while crouching so I've been backstabbing whenever possible. With your advice, I could shoot an arrow or something behind them to get them to turn around. Thank you!

Run to a dry area, then let the rot simmer before you move on. Don't roll.

Sometimes it just fills up on its own, even when I didnt touch any rot or water. I dont understand.
If you rolled through the rot, it will 'stick' to you and keep ticking till it triggers.

Roughly 20%. Boulder gave me 1.9k and with Talismane 2340.

You should turn the brightness down some more. I can still kind of see where you are headed in this dark cave. Maybe wear even darker clothing and just throw that torch away that you had equipped. Who needs to see what’s going on in a tutorial video anyways right?

I could never make it past the rot pits but i learned a way to get rid of poison & rot build up so that should help thank for showing the way which also should help me now i just have to put a point in faith and ill be able to do it
