Why? So he can hang with Brad and Matt and George and Ben? So he can spiral downhill like Colin? I think it's much to his good fortune if he has not worked in Hollywood.
Collier captured his role - impeccably. He is a spitting image of my Uncle Jim when he was young. I adore this character.. He triggers a empathy note with every line
thoughout this entire interview, all i could think of was how GORGEOUS rob james collier is. then i had to watch it again to actually focus on what they were saying.
It's so nice to see these three in an interview together! I love Sophie and Rob's insistence that Mrs Patmore and Mr Mason are girlfriend/boyfriend lol. We definitely need Paul Copley in the next movie if there is one
Downton Abbey is loved in New Zealand also! I have whole series, and have re watched it countless times. It has become like an old friend and frequent welcome visitor, and I especially enjoyed its company during lockdown.
It must have been fun on the set over the last 6 years. The gossip between these three multiplied by the whole cast, sounds like it was very entertaining.
Graham Norton was very funny commenting on the downstairs staff when he sees them on the red carpet thinking how nice Mrs Patmore borrowed a 👗 dress. LOL
That is his accent. He's from Manchester by sounds if it and yes Salford, Manchester I looked it up. That's the next county over so it's not quite the same as a Yorkshire accent (where the show is set) I can only tell because I have a northern accent (Lancashire) but it's quite similar. It's just the odd vowel sound that's different.
Great writing, great perfomances, location, story, knowledge, social history, human characters, impecable acting, great development of each character. I got completely hooked. "Weekend?, weekend...what do mean?!!" HA, ha!
why is there always someone who feels like they have to "educate" commentors? I've worked with actors and I've worked in Hollywood. A lot of actors are down to earth and haven't let fame go to their heads. My experience has been that the more famous actors are usually the more down to earth and the "stuck up" ones are usually the less successful ones. Of course when you have groups of actors who've been working together a long time being interviewed, they're going to "chat away". It's not necessary to assume that someone who made a comment is stupid or doesn't know what they're talking about. I didn't insult anyone, in fact I find Rob's chattiness charming. That being said, he's still talkative.
I loved Robert Collier’s accent in Downtown and even more in real life. As an American, I love those deep accents like Robert and Sophie have. I’m guessing Robert has a bit of a Manchester sounding accent there, I’ll have to look it up. He sounds like a clean speaking Liam Gallagher 😂.
because we find another world , where people try to be their best, and love stories, and heroes, and bad deeds aren’t worth it.. beautiful houses, beautiful dresses, all those stories in our crazy world now.
I never changed my mind about Thomas. He never showed any remorse over the awful things he did. We discovered over time that he was a tormented soul, but that doesn't excuse his actions.
I think he did show remorse, when he was recovering after his attempted suicide, when lady Mary visits him he says he's done some bad things and he doesn't know why. That sounds like alot of remorse to me!
The service characters and their stories were far more interesting to me than the aristocracy. I hated the character of Lady Mary and Anna was the best character.
Why did Downton succeed worldwide? Great chemistry. Great writing. Good casting. It's just a wonderful soap opera.
It's my favorite mexican-brittish soap-opera EVER!!
You forgot intresting. Well written stories and charecters
Fcutdlady Yes - there is very very little excellent writing/screen writing nowadays. Just a fact.
I think its a huge huge hit because it has the kind of trouble free, gentle, humane beings with which we all die to live
Yeah it helps that the cast are just magic together onscreen and off. People can see what a joy they have together.
I could watch them chat on a little sofa all day. They’re so sweet.
Rob James Collier is so handsome and talented - its a pity he hasn't done much work in Hollywood.
Maybe he's too busy in England.
He was typecast after Downton he talked about it in a interview a few years back
He would have to adapt a new accent.. these type of ones are hard for Americans to understand unfortunately
Why? So he can hang with Brad and Matt and George and Ben? So he can spiral downhill like Colin? I think it's much to his good fortune if he has not worked in Hollywood.
@@gaynorpatterson2915 Most British actors can adapt other accents. He modified his accent a lot on the show.

My face hurts from smiling at Robert James! I’m literally smiling like the Cheshire Cat right now!
i know he is so charming 😊😊😊
I literally googled "cat native from Cheshire, UK".
... or Lestat from "Interview with the Vampire"😁😈
Can’t wait to see “Thomas”. Rob plays him perfectly!
I love the suggestion that he might get a true love interest!
He has his story in the film. Julian gives him a friend. Police raid. Quibble. No rent boys in the crowd, which would have been the case.
@@JRobbySh You're going to spoil for other people!!
My favorite character! Well done Rob James Collier
I saw the film and it’s so lovely! I sat through the whole thing with a smile on my face!
Can't wait to see it here in the United states😊
I loved the movie and i was so happy to see Thomas one more time.
I wish we could see more of Robert James Colier now!
Loved swing a glimpse of Robert James-Collier true personality and would love to see him in a roll where he is light…funny and kind!

Oh yes, definitely! ♥️ he’s adorable!
It’s nice to see Barrow looking so animated! He’s quite good looking.
Downton Abbey is loved in New Zealand also! I have whole series, and have re watched it countless times. It has become like an old friend and frequent welcome visitor, and I especially enjoyed its company during lockdown.
What I like is that Rob J-C and Allan Leech seem to be the best of friends.
Haha them bickering the whole time, love their chemistry
Great interview! It’s like hanging out with friends as opposed to some boring interview!
Rob James Collier is stupid handsome! My goodness.
It must have been fun on the set over the last 6 years. The gossip between these three multiplied by the whole cast, sounds like it was very entertaining.
One of my most favorite shows of all time❤️
Graham Norton was very funny commenting on the downstairs staff when he sees them on the red carpet thinking how nice Mrs Patmore borrowed a 👗 dress. LOL
Thanks for uploading all the Downton Abbey interviews, been searching for these. Love all the cast so much ❤️
Robert certainly has the accent perfect.

Sophie is 34. Rob is in his 40’s.
Me: *WOT??????????*
SOPHIE IS 34? ...oh my God
Rob looks in his 30s couldn't believe he's 45
What a wonderful interview great.
Lovely to see the actors so relaxed.😊
Rob! 🥰☺️
Rob is so sweet ! He is a great actor to be soooo different from his role as footman !
"Hey You guys" is originally from the Electric Company children's show from the 70s!!!
What a wonderfull cast, just so nice to see how they interact as themselves!
Rob is so handsome 😍 I'm dying ❤
I just started watching - again - for the millionth time.
Great writing, great perfomances, location, story, knowledge, social history, human characters, impecable acting, great development of each character. I got completely hooked. "Weekend?, weekend...what do mean?!!" HA, ha!
How different Rob’s accent and voice his from his role as Barrow.
Rob had a Manchester accent. Thomas has a Yorkshire accent.
LOVED the series!! My Wife and I miss watching it.
Thank you for Downton Abbey ❤
No one can as an English actor and actress. You are wonderful and amazing I have enjoyed every scene.
Thank you ❤
These are my favorite characters of the series!🥰 Huge thank you for the video!!!!!!🤩
James collier should go on the great British celebrity bake off
Yerrsssssss
Omg hell yesss
They should do a Downton Abbey themed one, like the one they did with Derry Girls
Guaranteed entertainment!
There all amazing
It's good to see that the war-wound on Thomas' hand finally healed.
I love them.
Omg aren’t they all the cutest people!
wow Rob Collier is a talker!

I hope Mr. Mason and Patmore are married and they're planning Daisy wedding
Rob amoros y talentoso.
También llegó a los ❤️ de los latinoamericanos.

How gorgeous is Rob? 😍
Absolutely lovely!
This show has become my new obsession.
love all characters !
This movie will rock the world.
Thomas,is,fantast8c.an gorgeous.they are all brilliant.tge movie was great .well done guys xx
Love this show
good lord, Rob James-Collier is so damn handsome, someone needs to slap him on a plate so I can sop him up with a biscuit! Jeez.
I LOVE Robert James Collier! He looks like Keanu Reeves. Is that why he made that joke?
@De St true
Not even in the same realm. Lol
@De St you got be joking! Have you not seen KR in his younger years? out of this world hotness!
They don't look alike at all! Lol
Can't wait for it to come out!

I wish Downton Abbey is celebrated more than Bridgeton🙄
Downton abbey is far more better then Bridgeton
Wonderful!
Moira from England. ♥

Mrs Patmore cleans up good haha!
What's this question about Hollywood royalty joining up? HELLLLLOOOOO...didn't Shirley Maclaine and Paul Giamatti play Cora's mother and brother?
David Thaler yes but remember they are British actors - to them Dame Maggie is the star power 🙂
They didn’t appear until much later in the show, and for small roles. They didn’t know at the start of the series that they’d be on the show.
RJC continues to give me that sensation in my nether region.
Rob James 🩵👑😻
Yaaas Julie Walters!🤩
I LOVE Sophie's skirt!!!
Rob must not get interviewed much he’s like a kid in front of that camera. #whataHam 😂
He gets interviewed plenty. This is just how he is.
I keep expecting Patmore to tell Daisy to shut up 😂
ITS IN AFRIA TOO
Oh my gosh Julie Walter's would be amazing!!
Sophie McShera would make a great villain to a remake of 'Misery' (the movie).
Just came to listen to their accent :D
💕
I am surprised Mrs. Patmore allowed Daisy to talk so much in this interview...
Anglophiles that's why. I LOVE British TV and Downton Abbey ticked all the boxes for me!!
ANTHONY HOPKINS WOULD BE AMAZING!!!
Looking nice...
They start talking fast and I don't understand. Mrs. Patmore sounds a like Ms. Slocum from Are You Being Served. At least to my very untrained ear.
Collier is cuter
Love Thomas, loved the movie, forget Julie Walters.
What city is Rob from? Manchester? Liverpool?
Manchester
Just when I think I can't love Mrs Patmore even more than I already do, she wants Anthony Hopkins as her boyfriend :D
The cook is a bit like Mrs Miggins in Blackadder.
I can not understand them????
‘HeyUGuys!’ Stop talking over each other! Can’t understand what anyone is saying! lol!❤️
I thought it was just ME!!! 😁😂
Glamp63 i’m thinking the same
I can understand them pretty well, I'm not even British.
Anthony Hopkins and mrs patmore hell yes
Rob, please stop interrupting.
Love the cast, but I struggled to understand a lot of what they said hahaha #notenglish 😁
Janell Martin Watch the series in English with subtitles. I did it and understood everything said in the interview. ;)

What’s Robs accent.
Manchester/ Manc
So cute. Mrs patmore
I honestly thought every character was important to the story. I understand Thomas was internally tormented, I just wish he wasn’t so mean!!! 😊
i'm so HAPPY for thomas getting some 😏 in the movie
The service characters and their stories were far more interesting to me than the aristocracy. I hated the character of Lady Mary and Anna was the best character.
Her character is made to be like that.
very English story.
All the talking over made this too difficult to watch.
