For travelling across Europe, I only use Tesla chargers using the non-Tesla app and the Electroverse rfid card. Zero issues with Tesla. It is good how you still get the 8% discount at a random AC charger in the middle of nowhere. Just connect phone to car and use android auto. You can use voice to ask for nearest Tesla charger.
I have the same opinion like Andrew. Charging E-niro a 50kW charge is enough. In Portugal we have a network that costs 0,24€/min at that speed. The thing that I like most of E-niro, is a thing e-niro does not have in Portugal, is ventilated seats. With 40ºC it is amazing. I bought an imported French car, which is a mix of Level 3, 4 and 4+.

@@MrEV the thing I like about Elli is you can use it’s free tariff (Elli is free to sign up) or pay the subscription to get reduced tariffs for just 1 month. So when I drive to family in south Germany I can just pay for 1 month reduced tariffs to cover the couple of weeks trip across Europe. Everyone else seems to demand a 12 month subscription. German public charger prices are similarly stratospheric highs we have in the UK. Shame everywhere can’t be like France. Looking forward to towing my Eriba with my EV6 from north Spain through France next year. That will stress test public charging…
I’m definitely on team Flaviana when it comes to road tripping. Tesla route planner, plot in your destination and stop worrying. Go where the nav tells you to go, and chargers work 99% of the time. Drive faster/slower and it adapts and replan charging stops accordingly.

Andrew, can I ask you a question about home chargers, please? We’re installing a 3phase charger for future bnb guests. Is it worth putting in a 22kW charger or can most cars not use it? Sorry I missed this live chat.
So not many cars can use 22kw at the moment but quite a few can use 11kW. If you plan to hang on to the charger for say 5 to 8 years it's probably worth going for it. At least it future proofs you. 3 phase is a much more efficient way of distributing electricity
Apple Maps has a brilliant interface for finding chargers on the go… but the stupid bloody thing only works with some EVs! Polestar 2 and Fiat 500e are two I’ve seen. By default Apple Maps allows you to find nearby petrol stations but only EV chargers for EVs that support it. Typical Apple. Quite why they can’t just add a setting for EVs is beyond me.
@@MrEV Android Auto works well in our Ioniq 5 2023 model year car. Helped on a trip to Aberdeen a few months ago in the pouring rain as we approached Aberdeen. Very helpful. So maybe you need an Android phone 😜

Watching it post in replay there are so many 1min ads it's crazy and cannot skip them until they time down til after the 1min has completed. Don't you have Patreon or UA-cam Memberships at all, have you thought of adding one or both? As for Wonder Woman if you're talking the OG it's Linda Carter the movie one was Gal Gadot. The entire conversation has been hilarious particularly with Flaviana talking about prostitution trying to explain it to Aurelia as for taking money for it think of it as supporting the channel which is what it is doing. Another channel I follow they have a weekly live stream but it is more about EV news or related but their partner doesn't come on the stream.
UA-cam is so annoying with the ads - I'd removed most from this video but they still put them in there. I am considering UA-cam Membership more now as so many people have asked me to do it. I don't think that would solve the ad issue though? I think I could post a video early just for subscribers without ads, but after a day, I'd need to enable adverts as there'd not be enough revenue otherwise I think? If I can guarantee a weekly video then I'll enable memberships. I just don't want to disappoint supporters with my usual sporadic uploads!

With respect Andrew, why do you expect the French, or any other European come to that, to speak English? I have lived in France for 23 years and many of the people that I have met and who have become good friends simply don't speak English. Why should they?
You’re absolutely correct of course (and I actually despise the typical Brit that expects everyone to speak the same lingo!) It’s just surprising to me when people don’t speak more English in the hospitality sector. I tend to see it more in France than anywhere else.

Used a Tesla V3 @ Stoke-on-trent on my 2020 Soul. Tesla is the quickest to handshake, tells you how much it's going to cost, speed etc. and you get a PDF receipt. Ionity, Swarco, Osprey, Swarco need to play catch up.. Also Tesla is by far the cheapest

The Elli card is great in Germany. You can pay for a 30 day subscription which massively discounts IONITY and Aral in Germany.
For a wide coverage (all main providers) in Germany and Italy, use Energy+ (It’s MAINGAU but cheaper). No subscription necessary.
If I rapid charged more often then Elli would be a great deal.

So few can use 22kW (sadly!), it’s arguably not worth it. That said, you’d have some very happy Renault EV drivers if you did!
