Just got a Schecter SLS elite 5 with these pick ups and was blown away by the sounds available. Totally blew my EMG loaded ESP out of the water.

Hi I am thinking about adding one to my collection. Would you say it's a versatile bass and will it cut through the mix? I own a recording studio and cutting through the mix is the most important thing.

Po prawej stronie, w tle, stoi reklama, że jeszcze dla gitary jest podobny system? Dobrze widzę?

Will this make this for a six string bass?
THey make them for the Strat and Tele guitars.

They're currently doing 6 string bass pickups too

I saw the new six string design.
Tested a coupe of five string Schecter Basses at Guitar Center at Northridge, California. One had EMG pickups. One had the current Fishman pickups. The EMG had the standard tone with no noise. The Fishmans had a brighter tone to them. Plenty of bass in this case. I tried them before, and the low end was disappointing. We all don't all play full spread all the time.
      They seem nice.
      Plenty pf punch.
And plenty of bass when you dial it it right.

*Each pickup should have its own three way voicing toggle switch, and its own push/pull double/single coil volume knob..., though you would have two push/pull volumes instead of a single push/pull master and blend pot... That way..., with the volume knobs either full up or down, you would have forty-eight pickup voicing combinations instead of only the eighteen offered here... Why are you forced to set the same mode and voicing for both pickups in tandem? Is it not much more logical that if you're going to develop a brilliant new state-of-the-art pickup system, where a single pickup can have six different voicings..., if you install two in an instrument..., that you take full advantage of your new system and allow people to configure their instruments how they want to? What if I want a nice vintage single coil at the neck blended with a modern humbucker at the bridge? Too bad with this thing..., especially knowing that the pickups could have done it, except that they didn't want to add a second mini-toggle switch and replace a pan-pot with a second push/pull pot... Right now, I use two EMG-40TW dual mode pickups, and two of my favorite settings are, "neck single + bridge double", and, "neck double + bridge single"... This new, "EMG Killer", pickup set could have been able to do this..., but due only to the limited stock wiring configuration, it can't... Do I not have a glaring point?...*

Just a talking vid if that's what you're looking for, no sound demo, very little content. Seems a waste of time really.
