you're right, the block signal / chain signal system in games might be the oldest as it comes straight from Transport Tycoon Deluxe, which later became OpenTTD when the code was released to the public / open sourced :) although the one in WR:SR is quite simpler than the one in OpenTTD, as it doesn't have the third signal type that would allow the "priority" shenanigans you can do with OpenTTD (using signals that go "read" the status of blocks before an intersection to give a branch priority on merges) - I tried, but failed miserably on WR:SR to replicate it :p Although... I might give it an other go as I may have tried to do it the wrong way
In regard to a ship jam up like that. Can a way point be used to make a waiting stop for a type of line, or would they just go through the way point and jam up anyway?
Dock blocked :D :D :D :D Surprised that you didn't place the railway electrification thingies near the power plant. Re the ship chaos - a possible solution could be to set the ships to replace earlier, so each chip don't need that much maintenance.
Bbaljo, do you think Transport Fever's rail organization system (signals, terminal system, etc) would fit Workers and Resources better than the current system?
@@Polidoro_Trabalhista they are 2 completely different systems (block signals vs path signals) and aren't really compatible. I think WRSR rail system is one of the best in any game I've played, as it allows complete freedom, is fully dynamic, which I don't know if any of Any other game out there do that this well, plus it follows very simple rules, which ones understood are easy to implement (pathing signals are a lot more automatic, and easier to learn, but very limiting). Transport fever has a very static system, even the newer platform selection is extremely static in comparison.
Bballjo, i need help. my distribution offices always have a truck with like 0.07t of something and therfor cannot supply food. can you explain how would i fix that?
@@bballjo I am not sure what you mean. i am using the 3 vehicle distribution office and set one vehicle to put food electronics and clothing but it always has residual cargo and sits in the office.
I've heard that sometimes the shop cannot take the full volume of the trucks load, this can be worked around with smaller trucks, or adjusting the 'required' refilling point to ensure it always empties the truck when offloading, thanks to plenty of internal volume, but your problem may be different
I always learn a lot about the weird quirks in the game in these fixing Sessions. Its a shame that the game doesn't clearly visualize all these things that can brick your republic like the seperated networkes or what structures can be driven throu and which not.
