Are you sure that the outer tube is not 33.9mm? That's what the Tern site says, anyway. Edit: apparently, there were two of them? a 34.9x30.9, and a 33.9x27.2, I think... Regardless, thank you for posting this, as I am trying to get a suspension seat post on a zizzo folder, and now I know that I can use the Tern telescoping part, with a 30.9mm suspension seatpost.

Every tern will be different. You want the outer one which should be written on your post :)

For an NBD, you might just need to run a solid seatpost that can go all the way down.
