Great compilation. I wish more Hollywood movies would show the 40mm fletchette/ Beehive round or giant buckshot round. Only other one I can think of is the Miami Vice (movie) but they used a different launcher.
M79 블루퍼는 미 육군에서 만든 스탠드 언른 유탄 발사기로 월남전에서 M16 과 같이 미군의 상징이 되었으며 수류탄을 던지는 것에 대한 위험성(아마 던지면 몸이 노출됨)을 알게된 미군이 개발한 유탄 발사기로 한발 쏘고 약실을 비우고 새 유탄으로 장전하는 방식으로 이것도 은근히 불편하긴 하지만 없는거 보단 났다.허나 월남전 당시 연발로 사용할수 있게 여러 파생형이 존재하는데 바로 차이나 레이크(중국에서 만든 유탄 발사기 아님)인데 이건 구조가 더 복잡하고 무거워서 소수만 만들어졌다가 나중에 M16 과 XM148을 개량해서 만든게 바로 M203 유탄 발사기로 이건 월남전 이후로도 현재까지 사용하고 있으며 대한민국 즉 우리나라에서는 K201로 라이센스 생산되어 K2에 장착해서 쓰이지만 개량된 K2C1에는 호환이 안된다.애초에 K201은 구형 K2 전용으로 만들었지만 아마 개량한다면 가능할지도... 영화에서는 특히 터미네이터 2 심판의 날에서 M134 미니건 과 같이 아주 강렬한 인상을 남겼다.그리고 소드 오프 버전도 존재하며 대한민국 즉 우리나라도 쓰이긴하지만 물론 군대에는 안쓰이고 경찰에 쓰이지만 이걸 아직도 쓰이고 있다.본래 같았다면 밀코 M32 유탄 발사기를 사용해야 하지만 그놈의 과잉화력이라는 어이없는 핑계로 욕을 오지게 쳐먹고 있어서 여전히 M79를 쓰고 있다...
I always thought it would be super cool for a badass anime character like a mix of Trigun's Vash The Stampede and a pistol-grip M79 toting version of Batman. They would have bandoliers of different 40mm's, explosive, frag, incendiary, slug, etc instead of a utility belt. Just imagine the awesome dynamic slo-mo reload and one-handed shot scenes (it's the rule of cool, suspension of disbelief is key)!

I think that round used was probably buckshot or flechette as those were made for the M79 and used relatively heavily during Vietnam

Revy just destroyed an entire fleet of pirate gunboats with only a Thumper.
Actually gunboat armour are pretty weak and easily ignite, so it makes sense using Thumper by loading HEDP.
Not to mention a .50 cal with HEI or API.
