- Here is my arrangement of one of my favorite Hymns, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross." This is something that I've had in my head for a long time and I'm glad to finally get it recorded. It features mandolin, guitar and penny whistle. I hope you enjoy it.
This video also features the artwork of my buddy Jason Jaspersen. Jason is one of the most talented artists that I've ever known, and though we work on very different stuff, I feel like we are philosophically similar. Soli Deo Gloria.
Jason is not only a gifted still painter, sculptor, print maker, etc. He is also a gifted animator. He animates images using sand on a light table, and I am currently writing a play that will make use of some of his original and up-coming sand animations.
The sand animations that I used in this video were first used by Jason to animate other pieces of music. Take a look at more of his animations in the following links:
• Passion Song-sand anim... - "Passion Song" - by Frank Ralls.
• A Son Emmanuel - "A Son Emmanuel" by Koine.
