  • Hello friends, recently I compared the SC55 with my X2GS, but I used the standard preset. The X2GS can load individual presets that you can define by yourself - or - and thats the easiest way - you can download a great preset from Appiah4 on vogons!
The X2GS is an awesome wavetable module - you can buy it directly from the developers page here: www.serdashop....
The preset made by vogons community member Appiah4 you can download here: www.vogons.org...
To load the preset on your X2GS you have to connect it via USB and use the software thats available on the developers page here:
    serdaco.com/dow...
If you prefere the standard preset and want to reinstall it, you can download it here: serdaco.com/dow...
Special thanks to Dreamblaster for the development and release of the X2GS and Appiah4 for providing the preset
    listen - enjoy - like - subscribe

Even today, I do still love FM sound since school, thank you. I got many Roland Sound Canvas modules lkie SC-55MK2, 133, 88, 88pro, 8850. The fact of the drum kits during sound canvas gen1 which is SC-55/133/MK2, expecially "Standard Drum Kit" sounds pretty narrow, which was weaker than Yamaha XG in 90s. You can hear the difference in this video by DRUM.

Good video. Really shows off how accurate the sound bank is.

Einfach toll 👍🏻🤩 Zum Titel muss man nichts mehr sagen, aber Roland ist sowieso über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Liebe Grüße

Damn! Those are close! I can hear differences in the EQ, but as far as the samples go, they sound the same to me. I might buy a X2GS based on this video. Any negatives to report?

The X2GS is great and very versatile - I can't report any negatives so far.

I’ve been wondering how it compares to original Roland hardware since I got my X2GS, thanks for answering that question!

Ok, it really sounds close enough to me... I wonder if I could compare it to how it sounds on my MT-120, never heard a direct comparison to it.

I never had an MT120 but I guess it will sound very similar to the SC55

Interesting, the stereo separation of the samples sound much wider on the X2GS.

SC55 sounds me a little bit better, but both of them are very good, and fortunatelly we can load the Roland bank into the X2GS card :o)

What sound card are you using with the X2GS ?…..Are the Speakers plugged in directly to the X2GS ?….The X2GS has a Cleaner more Precise sound with Clearer Treble.

Sorry for the late reply, UA-cam doesn't notify me:-( Mostly I used it one the chill adapter from serdaco but if I run it internally, I also change soundcards frequently due to my hobby

the playback speed feels a little faster than the original, but sounds better.
