My brother bought Baleno 2022 Zeta (Manual), and i confirm that the car is giving 17+ kmpl in Delhi traffic. We made a short trip to Vrindavan from Delhi, and it gave us 25+ kmpl on the highway. The car is phenomenal. I'm even planning to buy this car this year. I'm gonna buy the Alpha AMT version.
Hi Bro, Thanks for the update. I have even booked Baleno AMT, I took a test drive, it was very comfortable, I agree about the lag in performance. But I needed a hatchback for my wife. And it suits it very well. I also heard, for AMT the mileage is above 20 + KMPL. It also has 6 airbags, quite good and appreciable when it comes to safety.
Not only in Amt, but even they also tune Fiat multijet engine better than everyone, better than Fiat itself. After all they are Japanese engineer's so what more you can expect.

Just Booked my Luxe Beige Baleno Alpha Manual today...90 days waiting....anyways wish me luck .....my first ever car....but i also love i20....both are fab cars....and right now, the prices between baleno and i20 are almost identical.... infact if you ask me, i20 is more VFM....for same price it is giving you a bigger touchscreen, Bose Sound system compared to Arkamys....a sunroof.....yes Baleno has a 360 cam and a HUD..but I would prefer the feature list of i20.... it's just that where I live the maruti network is much stronger and the workshop and this dealership is next door and also a friend of mine had an i20 elite and she told me her ownership experience was subpar in terms of reliability of the car...so i choose baleno...and also in this Luxe Beige colour, the Baleno just looks top notch..even better than i20 imho.... but of course looks are subjective....I agree with most of your points..I test road both of them for over 10 kms...multiple times....before making a choice...the tractability of baleno's engine is much better than i20...in terms of Naturally Aspirated options...i20 does have better high speed stability and brakes...but in terms of space, i20 is more spacious, sure the boot is a little smaller, but the rear seat space is unmatched, even putting some sub compact SUVs to shame... i20 also has a lot of creature comforts such as wireless charger, air purifier and the list goes on....Baleno does have slightly better seats... it's almost inseparable, like king kong vs godzilla.... anyways both are fantastic cars, anyone will be happy with either...and both are evenly priced as well with good dealer/service network and very acceptable ownership costs...i20 was released in 2019, maybe it is due for a minor update...
Hello Sir, need urgent help regarding my Tata Nexon XZ+. Purchased in December 2017. So I gave it for regular annual service 2 days back. Before giving it for servicing there was no warning lights in the instrument cluster. But the service manager called today and told me that the low oil pressure warning light (red colour) is flashing in your instrument cluster. It is flashing ever since it's engine oil was changed by them. He drained the engine oil again and refilled it, but the warning light is still persisting. Also he has checked the whole oil assembly and there's no leakage/problem they could found. They also checked for any damage in the compartment. One more thing, the warning light flashes when the rpm are below 2000. If the car revs above 2000rpm, the warning light switches off. Please tell me what to do. In the end the service guy has told me that the oil pump may be replaced and said its cost will be around Rs.9000. Odo Reading- 23,000km Service - 4th year annual service Please advice me
Agree, i went to buy baleno... but amt baleno good model is starting from 10.25 lac... I would prefer the i20 or altroz for that price as they have cvt or dca.. Baleno made a wrong move by removing the cvt technique and add amt only

NCAP is not a marketing gimmick, its real, when anybody driving on road just have a look on any Baleno, it will surely have dent. Despite driving with utmost safety if in traffic any object touches your baleno you will have nice dent on Baleno. Everything else is good on car except built quality. MSIL BIW team, adding few body reinforcement concept you can make it very good car pl work on it. Its heart breaking when scooty also dent your car.
Yeah actually cars give way more mileage than reviewers claim. I don't know why maybe bcuz they want to keep a safe bet. Xuv300 everyone said turbo petrol so 16 on highways is good. But I get 18 on avg. 19 if below 2k rpm for a few kms
Actually if they had done any significant improvement in the safety of this car; they would have already sent it for crash test to clean their image. They also know how bad their image is when we talk about crashes.

I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found - PROS - 1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants 2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate 3) Auto dimming IRVM 4) Excellent headlights CONS - 1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl. 2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement. 3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield. 4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT. 5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support. 6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.

Good review actually but looks like companies still have to understand the customer's actual need in product, some of the very basic features they would have considered in this segment as well but somehow they failed or ignored....not very fascinating to be honest. Gagan you rightly pointed out about TPMS and Sunroof, this would have surely created an impact on its sale and also the front look if they could have changed this time. I still miss Ford Ecosport Sport version (Best and feature rich car)
Tpms is useless. If you are even average driver you can feel your tyre pressure. Just check your pressure every alternate week.. sunroof wont be possible since they would have to redesign the whole chassis.

I don't think these are must ones... They are good to have features only... The quality and the practicality that Suzuki provides seeing the Indian road conditions and the pocket size of Indian buyers, Suzuki is giving you everything that makes sense. Adding a sunroof would increase the cost by 35-40k and obviously reduce the safety, TPMS is most of the time inaccurate so no point of keeping that and if the pressure is seriously low, you would come to know by car wobbling.
The top model and the 2nd top (zeta) did receive a software update which enabled wireless android auto and can show turns on the instrument cluster, you can update the software via a usb or through their app.
Suzuki. That's why everyone buys Nexa products. I went to buy Altroz but ended up buying Alpha Baleno with 360• camera, Cruise control, Traction control and 6 airbags with better updated frame.

Have a baleno from 3 yrs, mileage, performance and space is good but the body is very light. Car does not inspire confidence at 100+ speeds and body gets damaged by minor touches.

I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found -
PROS -
1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants
2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate
3) Auto dimming IRVM
4) Excellent headlights
CONS -
1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl.
2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement.
3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield.
4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT.
5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support.
6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.

last me ye bhi bolde as a messege Light low beam(dipper) me hi chalaye raat me (ya koi samne se aae toh low beam me light rakhe)
Good review actually but looks like companies still have to understand the customer's actual need in product, some of the very basic features they would have considered in this segment as well but somehow they failed or ignored....not very fascinating to be honest. Gagan you rightly pointed out about TPMS and Sunroof, this would have surely created an impact on its sale and also the front look if they could have changed this time. I still miss Ford Ecosport Sport version (Best and feature rich car)
Tpms is useless. If you are even average driver you can feel your tyre pressure. Just check your pressure every alternate week.. sunroof wont be possible since they would have to redesign the whole chassis.

@@msharma18377 but company has made this car in 70% of reviewers feedback so for most of the people these are not seriously needed one thing I need from Suzuki is that they have to upgrade thier audio system so that no need to upgrade aftermarket
I don't think these are must ones... They are good to have features only... The quality and the practicality that Suzuki provides seeing the Indian road conditions and the pocket size of Indian buyers, Suzuki is giving you everything that makes sense. Adding a sunroof would increase the cost by 35-40k and obviously reduce the safety, TPMS is most of the time inaccurate so no point of keeping that and if the pressure is seriously low, you would come to know by car wobbling.

The top model and the 2nd top (zeta) did receive a software update which enabled wireless android auto and can show turns on the instrument cluster, you can update the software via a usb or through their app.

Suzuki. That's why everyone buys Nexa products. I went to buy Altroz but ended up buying Alpha Baleno with 360• camera, Cruise control, Traction control and 6 airbags with better updated frame.

I have booked Baleno Sigma & paid Rs. 11000, expected delivery 6-7 weeks, after one week dealer is demanding Rs. 4 lacs and saying this is standard process. We will invoice for you when vehicle get start from plant to dealer.
I want them to bring the vehicle, against my booking within stipulated time & deliver.
But dealer is not willing to bring without 4 lacs
I don't understand this is booking or bidding.
Thinking to cancel my booking.

Go for baleno without any doubt.
Have a baleno from 3 yrs, mileage, performance and space is good but the body is very light. Car does not inspire confidence at 100+ speeds and body gets damaged by minor touches.
