- I used this song in my early Thorn Birds videos, and the theme was actually very similar in a way. I was so happy to find a male cover to use after all these years.

Half of the reason I watch Aziraphale/Crowley edits is just to find good mlm love songs (or mlm covers of love songs, in this case). And actually, this song fit them so well, I am now mad it isn't actually in the show.
I think that the one that suites them the best is “I see your heart and I’ll rase you mine” or something like that

I've loved this song for literally decades, but never heard this version. The singer and arrangement is flawless, and your editing is spectacular; I don't know if you did some jiggery-pokery to make the clips from the show fit in so well with the music, but it's absolutely wonderful. I don't normally like these "set clips to a song" video, but this one is special. Thank you.

Oh who is the original song by? This cover is SO beautiful, what a wonderful and unique song choice for this ship!! I love your vidding of them, it's SO perfect, every single little moment of this vid is a LOT to take in because it's SO carefully done... My dad and I started rewatching season 1 recently and I really do love them so much, especially Aziraphale is my favorite... ;) I love how these lyrics work for them. Thanks for vidding them!! It's originally from the musical Chess which I'm not familiar with and sung by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson. There's also a version by Whitney Houston. And it's written in part by the guys from ABBA which explains why I like the vibe so much. I had to go back and re-check all this but it was indeed the original I'd been listening to. Thank you so much for the comment! That's so great to hear. Did you finish S2 yet? I have some things to say, and I'm also jealous you got to experience it longer than me lol.
@Supsi85 lol I'm never gonna finish at the rate I'm not really watching it... you could just message me your thoughts early and maybe the spoilers will compel me to see it sooner. Me and my dad are jumping between multiple shows and Good Omens is only one of them so we're still gonna be in season 1 for a while and I'm not getting past those first 2 episodes of season 2 for months I'm pretty sure.

This is the *perfect* song for our lovers but unfortunately this singer has ruined, as in absolutely butchered, this exquisite song. What a shame. Please find a better version. I realize you wanted a male voice but the song requires a higher tessetura to resonate. Whitney Houston's version just can't be beaten. Had you chosen her rendition we all wouldn't be able to see for a week through the tears or pick ourselves up off from the floor.
In any case, thank you for pairing the song with this love story. Hopefully, Sam Smith will sing it one day.
