Another fun fact: Several actors from season 1 are recycled in season 2 as different characters. The demon Shax here in S2 was Madame Tracy in S1. Nina and Maggie were baby-switching nuns in S1, and in a later episode S1’s Will Shakespeare is hardly recognizable as a demon named Furfur.
2:40 that's Muriel! They have notes on Crowley, Aziraphale, Nina, and Maggie (official, btw)! For Crowley, their notes are: "- Grumpy, but also nice (human word: grice?) - Likes his car more than most people (all people, actually) - I like the way he walks - Seems to be always looking at Aziraphale (crossed out name) The Traitor" Their notes for Aziraphale (crossed off angel and put traitor next to his name): "- Always worried about something, just like me - Bookshop has books... but never any shoppers - Dresses clean (I like this very much) - Makes grumpy demon Crowley less grumpy" Their notes for Maggie are: "- Very much enjoys going to Nina's coffee shop - Attempts to sell discs that supposedly create 'music' - Fumbles when speaking, like a deer learning to walk - Smiles a lot, especially when speaking with Nina" Their notes on Nina are: "- Knows a drink for every occasion, especially wine - Doesn't like talking (to me) about her love life - Gets annoyed by her phone (or whomever is phoning her) - Appears calmer and happier around Maggie"
With the grave robbing thing, it was more to do with Aziraphale doing 'the bad thing' and allowing it to happen, and Crowley doing 'the good thing' by saving the girl. It shows the influence that the relationship is having on each other.
This is probably my favourite episode tbh (Also, David Tennant uses that _exact_ voice in DuckTales 2017. It's rare he gets to be unapologetically Scottish, but it's glorious.)
Oh dear me - Danny, sweetie, no in Scotland we just use pounds and pennies nowadays. Back in the Victorian era, when that minisode is set, the whole of the UK were using a currency that came before decimalisation, with gineas, farthings, shillings, halfpenny's, etc. But no, it is no longer our currency.
@@ScrambledSorceryI agree but I believe it's nowhere stated in the official show so Danny couldn't know - all angels or demons a kinda nonbinary anyway and we don't bat an eye when we call Crowley HE or SHE or whatever so there simply is no misgendering - all of them don't care about pronouns
As someone who loves the book, and the series, and the work of sir Terry Pratchett, I want you to notice that on the bottle of laudanum there is the name of C.M.O.T. Dibbler, or "cut me own throat" Dibbler, the most infamous street seller of Ankh Morpork, and I love this tiny detail 💚
@@annalisalundberg4561 GNU PTerry indeed. I STILL can't bring myself to finish the last book, because I'm STILL not ready for there to be no more Discworld.
I love that you've identified the fly as important and the seemingly random use of Buddy Holly's "Everyday", just you wait!! Also interesting is your observation of the use of the mystery element in both seasons 🧐🤓🥰
So, if you go back and watch the laudanum scene in the Edinburgh flashback, you'll note that Elspeth tells them she plans to kill herself with the laudanum, and then says that they can use the money she earned from selling Wee Morag's corpse to **bury her where no-one will dig her up.** If moral dilemmas are your thing, that's the one right there. Elspeth's happy to dig up other people for money, but she doesn't want anyone doing the same to her.
David Tennant *is* Scottish silly! I love this season so much because it gives so much depth to Crowley!! And the "Aziraphale has learned this lesson before." And "He's always been and wants to always be an angel" makes him less prone to change due to the fact that having an open mind makes it harder to do his job which can make him a bit stagnant in character development. He said Crowley goes to fast for him and that also makes sense since Crowley has always been growing and changing. Also I feel so bad because in this episode it shows him doing a truly selfless act in order to help a stranger and immediately the ground swallows him up into Hell. He cares so much and thats why I think he's positively adorable!! Can't wait for season 3/ last season to come out so Az can finally get that much needed growth. I really think this season will be a catalyst for that!!
Graveyard robberies were a HUGE issue in the 1800s. There are an absurd number of deterrents, guards posted, and yes, lethal booby traps deployed to prevent grave robberies. The business of grave robbing and prevention was big money. People built cages over graves, built fences around graveyards, and people found ways around them because stealing and selling family heirlooms and jewelry and then selling the corpse to medical students made enough money to make it worth it.
I've been Edinburgh twice this year and the graveyards are incredible, there's actual guard towers in some of them from the Victorian age. I like how the cages over graves to prevent grave robbing became myths that the person was a vampire.
@@swanchamp5136 there were also a lot of alarms and devices invented for the “corpse” to use in case of accidental, premature burial. While most stories of a buried alive person being found by grave robbers are just urban legends, the Victorians were so afraid of one or the other happening that there were whole societies dedicated to their prevention.
Not even kidding your GO reaction videos have become the thing I look forward to most every week. Checking every day if there's been a new reaction vid like an addict. And I liked your rewrite of how this mini-sode could have gone better than what actually happened!
The funniest part of that Scottish accent is that it sounds slightly exaggerated, so a little fake. When David Tennant is Scottish. Like how good of an actor to make your own accent sound fake.
because that's the joke. they both try and pretend to be Scottish after Elspbeth refers to them as English. Crowley puts on a VERY bad fake Scottish Accent, and Aziraphale introduces himself as Dr McFell. the point is, they're both very unconvincing. David actually being Scottish just makes it funnier
This is probably my fav episode in the show. The intro of Muriel and all the characterization and the scottish David Tennant living his best life and accidentally drenching Nina and Maggie in his attempt to get them to fall in love haha- Also Maggie is the blonde, slightly airheaded, record shop maiden!! Nina is the coffee shop worker and it is "Give me Coffee or Give me Death" as a reference to "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" in full!! Give me death would be such a crazy store for Az to be neighbors with- I am currently prepping for Category 5 hurricane Milton as I am a northern Floridian so thats fun 😭
Oh bless you. - Muriel (and their actor) use they/them pronouns. - That’s David Tennant's real Scottish accent. I beg you to watch an interview or something with him out of character. - the coffee shop is called "Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death." - he wasn’t doing surgery on the legs... he was dissecting them. - you nailed the theme on the head. We see bits and pieces of Aziraphale learning that good and evil are not black and white and people are usually morally grey. - I'll ignore your slight against Canadian currency because yes, they are silly names. The loonie as a picture of a loon on it. But hey, at least all our money looks different at a glance. American bills are all the same size and colour. What a mess. - Crowley fell in love with Aziraphale during the first rainstorm. That was the vibe he was trying to recreate. 🪰🪰🪰🪰🪰🪰
Can Danny Motta help us with the "31 Days Of Good Omens" campaign by reviewing the rest of the episodes before the end of the month? We're trying to remind Amazon that we're still obsessed with Good Omens. Help us, please. ❤ Great jokes and reaction. Love watching. And don't make fun of the Loonie, we clearly have a sense of national of humor on money. I mean money is a joke, right? Lol.
YES! It's great that Danny is inspiring lots of new watches and rewatches right now, while the fandom is trying to show Amazon how beloved and popular GO is during the 31DOGO project (introduced by Sendarya)! It's in serious danger of getting canceled y'all - please keep showing GO your love!
Yes please! I'm going to be rewatching this month too. I love Good Omens and recently been reading more of Terry Pratchett's books in general. Absolutely loving how much of an imaginative writer he was! You can really see his style of humour seeping into the GO's series adaptions too, especially in S1. It would be so disappointing to see the show end on such a cliff hanger (wait until you get to the final ep) and i'd be sad to not be able to see what Sir Terry had envisioned and planed with Neil for the unwritten sequel that S3 will be based on if it goes ahead. Let's show Amazon how much we love the series!
INFO: It's canon that the supernatural beings are genderless and any pronouns can be used for them. The fandom regularly uses all different pronouns for Aziraphale and Crowley in edits, fanfic, comix, and it's fine to use any pronouns for any of the demons/angels!
@letolethe3344 true, but Muriel is only referred to in the show by they/them (same with belzeebub) and using fanworks as an example of why they don't is kinda ehhh. And it's nice to see characters using they/them pronouns in popular media, just on a personal basis of representation
Fun Little Tidbit of info regarding this season! Apparently, there was going to be one of these "Mini-Sodes" in season 2, where we wouldve seen Crowley and Aziraphale in the 1950's (i belive) presenting as Women! When asked about the concept comming back in season 3, Gaimen denied that it wouldnt return. Saying it wouldve only fit this story mode.
Aziraphale is a traditionalist and a sentimentalist at heart. Crowley is always heading for modernity and is always reworking ideas and thinking these through. Aziraphale is a dedicated angel who has a strong sense of whats right and Crowley fell for asking too many questions.
and just like that, with one video, Monday just got a lil better lol. I always get so excited when you upload a new GOmens video. it also means, though, that we are one ep closer to the season finale....I've seen it 10+ times and I'm still not prepared to see it again 😭
Oooh I'm so excited about this, feels like it's been an eternity since the last one! Also, fun fact - Everyday was originally supposed to be the theme song of Good Omens. Terry and Neil decided on that way back in 1991, but for various reasons that didn't happen for season 1, so Neil repurposed it for this season instead and I absolutely love that.
I just have to give the show credit when discussing resurectionists that they explained, it was only legal to use the bodies of executed murders for anatomical study, and showing a booby trap that would have existed to prevent grave robbing. I do wish that that had explained about how devastating it would have been at the time for a family to have their loved ones body stolen. This was a period/ culture where it was strongly believed that bodies needed to stay whole for people to come back during the resurection. Also would have been nice if they jad included the fact that clothes would have been left at the grave because having stolen items would have been theft and punished as such but bodies aren't property so there were no real punishments for taking them.
Also, I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more, but I ADORE how willing Crowley is to just answer Jim's questions about gravity and how things work. He was cast out and punished for asking questions, and even though he hates Gabriel and doesn't want to be there, he still takes the time to answer questions asked in genuine curiosity and even admits when he doesn't know things.
Love the Fright Night reference at the end!! I always say that when watching a vamp film 😂 I binge watched S2 after your reaction cuz I HAD to know what happens 😂 now I can enjoy you watching and loving David and Michael along with me lol

@@GalenaNola Incidentally, this exact shade of yellow is called "Vavoom".
Indeed. Another great detail @@BlackOfJuly
Oh heck I didn't even consider that
Another fun fact: Several actors from season 1 are recycled in season 2 as different characters. The demon Shax here in S2 was Madame Tracy in S1. Nina and Maggie were baby-switching nuns in S1, and in a later episode S1’s Will Shakespeare is hardly recognizable as a demon named Furfur.
Oh my god! Why did I just realize that Shakespeare is Furfur?
2:40 that's Muriel! They have notes on Crowley, Aziraphale, Nina, and Maggie (official, btw)!
For Crowley, their notes are:
"- Grumpy, but also nice (human word: grice?)
- Likes his car more than most people (all people, actually)
- I like the way he walks
- Seems to be always looking at Aziraphale (crossed out name) The Traitor"
Their notes for Aziraphale (crossed off angel and put traitor next to his name):
"- Always worried about something, just like me
- Bookshop has books... but never any shoppers
- Dresses clean (I like this very much)
- Makes grumpy demon Crowley less grumpy"
Their notes for Maggie are:
"- Very much enjoys going to Nina's coffee shop
- Attempts to sell discs that supposedly create 'music'
- Fumbles when speaking, like a deer learning to walk
- Smiles a lot, especially when speaking with Nina"
Their notes on Nina are:
"- Knows a drink for every occasion, especially wine
- Doesn't like talking (to me) about her love life
- Gets annoyed by her phone (or whomever is phoning her)
- Appears calmer and happier around Maggie"
With the grave robbing thing, it was more to do with Aziraphale doing 'the bad thing' and allowing it to happen, and Crowley doing 'the good thing' by saving the girl. It shows the influence that the relationship is having on each other.
14:54 the poison affected him like high dose of alcohol or drug, instead of killing him he gor high/drunk
Record shop lady is Maggie. Coffee shop owner is Nina.
Everyone is just in a great mood this season
I hope some big heartbreaking moment doesn't happen
I hope no forgive you moment happens...
I cringed when he said that. Oh Danny, Danny, you sweet Summer child....😭😭😭
Remember the Bentley is a very aware being, Crowley and the Bentley are connected.
Crowley KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THE BENTLEY ALL THE TIME
Hehe I read fanfiction about this
Wait, so that means technically Crowley knows what Shax says to Aziraphale when he drives back to London in the next episode? Oooh, thats spicy
Notice the one thing he didn't complain about was getting it to play different music than queen
This is probably my favourite episode tbh
(Also, David Tennant uses that _exact_ voice in DuckTales 2017. It's rare he gets to be unapologetically Scottish, but it's glorious.)
Same with How to Train Your Dragon shows. (He plays Snotlouts dad)
And loonies and toonies are just a fancy Canadian way to call their regular $1 and $2 coins.
This episode is where the love for Muriel truly blossomed. She’s just too adorable for words in this one.
I agree but I believe Muriel uses they/them pronouns
@@ScrambledSorceryI agree but I believe it's nowhere stated in the official show so Danny couldn't know - all angels or demons a kinda nonbinary anyway and we don't bat an eye when we call Crowley HE or SHE or whatever so there simply is no misgendering - all of them don't care about pronouns
“everyone’s just in a great mood this season” oh my sweet summer child
2:56 Muryel has already appeared in both episode 2 and 1! *They* are the low ranking angel 😇 who found the matchbox in Heaven!
and, of course, checked the fine print on the contract about Job, and did the adorable impression of a goose.
genuine question - when were they in season 1? I don't remember that!!
@@charlielasu4502 I don't think they were?
They were in _episode_ 1 and 2, not _season_ 1 and 2.
I think this is where the mentioned face blindness comes in
8:20 PRETTY LIKE CROWLEY'S EYES
As someone who loves the book, and the series, and the work of sir Terry Pratchett, I want you to notice that on the bottle of laudanum there is the name of C.M.O.T. Dibbler, or "cut me own throat" Dibbler, the most infamous street seller of Ankh Morpork, and I love this tiny detail 💚
I also think the minimised Crowley has much of The Wee Free Men about him.....
@@carolineskipper6976 mainly because he's scottish? Or quite angry? Like "nae king, nae queen, nae laird, we wilnae be fooled again"?
me too. it's fantastic. also, Terrys hat and scarf (and books) show up in the bookshop regularly
@@GalenaNola the first time I noticed his hat I started crying. I really miss the man... GNU sir Terry 💚
He's not ready for the last episode.
he really isn't. poor guy it's gonna destroy him
He’s going to go straight from destroyed to raging inferno back to destroyed and needy like the rest of us. lol
Especially with how they're pushing the show back with the current Gaiman issues.

BABES WAKE UP!!!! DANNY POSTED GOOD OMENS CONTENT!!!! BABE WE ARE BEING FED, WE ARE NO LONGER STARVING
why is this my fevorite comment?
literally every time im refreshing my youtube feed im waiting for the next danny watching good omens video
Oh you're gonna absolutely love the magic show episode
Oh, ABSOLUTELY!!
8:47 SOMEONE TELL DANNY TO WATCH DOCTOR WHO - SCHOOL REUNION IF HE WANTS TO SEE DAVID TENNANT TEACH A CLASS!
Or "David Tennant is Catherine Tate's new English teacher!"
Here we go, Danny finally got the first nice Angel he asked for!
Muriel is just such a sweetheart, they are simply to good for heaven
Legitimately so happy that Danny also sees the Crowley clothing theory
Danny thinking someone dressed as a bleached policeman is a sanitation worker... That's such an interesting leap lol
"You don't have to be invited inside if inside doesn't exist!"
*Angel flashbacks*
Danny is in for a rude awakening when he realizes David Tennant is actually Scottish
4:50 maybe, he has some lovely paintings...
Tennants's pineapple, though...
Hey don't insult the pineapple he worked hard >:( /j
@@fall-oc6ez It was a lovely pineapple
Gabriel being Beelzebub's Winter Soldier is such a smart way of looking at it when Danny hasn't figured out the true mystery yet.
"Some form of cyclical conundrum where neither option is the good option" Oh honey.....sweetipie.....
Not even kidding your GO reaction videos have become the thing I look forward to most every week. Checking every day if there's been a new reaction vid like an addict. And I liked your rewrite of how this mini-sode could have gone better than what actually happened!
HOW did we not get a reaction to Aziraphale's thirsty look after "if you have any other questions about love, dont hesitate to ask" ??
The funniest part of that Scottish accent is that it sounds slightly exaggerated, so a little fake. When David Tennant is Scottish. Like how good of an actor to make your own accent sound fake.
because that's the joke. they both try and pretend to be Scottish after Elspbeth refers to them as English. Crowley puts on a VERY bad fake Scottish Accent, and Aziraphale introduces himself as Dr McFell. the point is, they're both very unconvincing. David actually being Scottish just makes it funnier
Can't wait for Danny to reach the 6th episode
NO
I knoooooow 🙊
David Tennant is Scottish Danny. lmao
7:31 the fact that this literally a convo from the book tho‐
speaking of moral dilemmas, you would LOVE the good place on netflix.
Best damn show.
Wait until Danny realizes by the time he finishes season 2, that song will be stuck in his head for a while.
This is probably my fav episode in the show. The intro of Muriel and all the characterization and the scottish David Tennant living his best life and accidentally drenching Nina and Maggie in his attempt to get them to fall in love haha-
Also Maggie is the blonde, slightly airheaded, record shop maiden!! Nina is the coffee shop worker and it is "Give me Coffee or Give me Death" as a reference to "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" in full!! Give me death would be such a crazy store for Az to be neighbors with-
I am currently prepping for Category 5 hurricane Milton as I am a northern Floridian so thats fun 😭
Nina runs the coffee shop (Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death), and Maggie runs the music shop.
Oh bless you.
- Muriel (and their actor) use they/them pronouns.
- That’s David Tennant's real Scottish accent. I beg you to watch an interview or something with him out of character.
- the coffee shop is called "Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death."
- he wasn’t doing surgery on the legs... he was dissecting them.

Ah yes the ineffable Grindr
Can Danny Motta help us with the "31 Days Of Good Omens" campaign by reviewing the rest of the episodes before the end of the month? We're trying to remind Amazon that we're still obsessed with Good Omens. Help us, please. ❤
Great jokes and reaction.
@@roset7939 Yeah! More support, lol.
@@laurabacon5353 Yes, let's do it!
That's a great idea!
FINALLY man i went insane for two weeks when there was no new good omens reactions, man i love these so much
Ooo also have you ever seen Nimona??
i never thought i would hear danny say "very demure"
INFO: Muriel is agender & pronouns are they/them!
INFO: It's canon that the supernatural beings are genderless and any pronouns can be used for them. The fandom regularly uses all different pronouns for Aziraphale and Crowley in edits, fanfic, comix, and it's fine to use any pronouns for any of the demons/angels!
I believe that the script writer confirmed that Muriel used they/them as pronouns
@letolethe3344 true, but Muriel is only referred to in the show by they/them (same with belzeebub) and using fanworks as an example of why they don't is kinda ehhh. And it's nice to see characters using they/them pronouns in popular media, just on a personal basis of representation
@@letolethe3344this I love basically Aziraphale and Crowley becoming parents and Crowley being mom.
Yes! Exactly!
FINALLY new good omens upload
Right. Trying to be patient … but anytime he does another fandom, part of me gets hostile towards it. lol.
FINALLY GOOD OMENS IVE BEEN STARVING😭🫶🫶
Aziraphale is a traditionalist and a sentimentalist at heart. Crowley is always heading for modernity and is always reworking ideas and thinking these through. Aziraphale is a dedicated angel who has a strong sense of whats right and Crowley fell for asking too many questions.
"I swear to god the fly is The Thing"👀
*staring into my soul* ADD BREAK "They are."

and just like that, with one video, Monday just got a lil better lol. I always get so excited when you upload a new GOmens video. it also means, though, that we are one ep closer to the season finale....I've seen it 10+ times and I'm still not prepared to see it again 😭
I would like it to be known that David Tennant voiced Scrooge McDuck in the 2017 reboot of DuckTales 5:31

Welp.
0:00 this frame of danny’s killing me 😭😭💀
Oooh I'm so excited about this, feels like it's been an eternity since the last one!
Good Lord you went so much darker than the actual storyline. I really want to read fics in that arc now
10:55 university's used to dig tunnels to grave yards so they could get more cadavers... it was a common issue at the time
Love the Fright Night reference at the end!! I always say that when watching a vamp film 😂
I binge watched S2 after your reaction cuz I HAD to know what happens 😂 now I can enjoy you watching and loving David and Michael along with me lol
“The level of romance is not directly tied to the amount of rain” please nobody tell Taylor Swift
9:08 Danny and the fly 👀👀👀
The way you're getting so into the moral quandaries of this episode and Azirephale's struggles with them... my man, you for SURE should watch The Good Place.
Edit: 15:25 lmao oh dude, no, Canada's currency is DOLLARS. "Loonies" are just the nickname for one-dollar coins specifically, because there's a loon on them. And then they introduced two-dollar coins, and they got dubbed "twoonies." But that's not the currency, lmao.
Got here 27 minutes after upload. In the time I watched and read through the 203 (at the time) comments, viewership jumped from ~3500 to 6320. Make that 6377. Now 6403. It's literally upticking by 50 views every 15 seconds. Now 6458. So no disrespect to the folks asking Danny to go back to doing reacts for other shows, or to start new ones, but the GO fandom is absolutely LOVING this. There are only 3 more episodes left in this season, and season 3 is currently on hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. Please just let us (and Danny, who is clearly enjoying the show) have these last 3 episodes. We're already delicate, and you will completely understand why when you see the finale.

3:00 One of my favourite scenes (and Crowley smiles) of the whole show 😍
"but it's pretty" oh yeah aziraphale? yellow is pretty? like the color of crowley's eyes? you think it's pretty?
15:13 Scotland uses pounds like England does. Guineas is an old form of currency, I think it’s like £1.25.
Crowley thinks that humans will fall in love like he fell in love. If they hide under an awning together (he was under Aziraphales wing) in the rain (the first rainstorm)
5:40 YES THIS this is why I love this show details like this are everywhere. US over on Tumbler love over analyzing these details so much love is put into this show and it's characters 💕
I wouldn't be surprised if that IS Michael Sheens hand-writing. (You should see the snippet from the video call between him and David Tennant where they are talking about painting.)
Personally my usual script is as messy as it gets, but when writing in cursive it gets 100x prettier, so that's always a possibility

Point of order, David Tennant is Scottish, his natural accent is scottish.
To be fair, Danny said *Crowley* was trying out a Scottish accent, not that David Tennant was.
that is not his natural accent though. the joke is that Crowley is pretending to be Scottish, and isn't good at it. just like Aziraphale adding Mc to the beginning of the surname he uses isn't exactly convincing.
