These types of videos are so much more inspiring than the ones filled with clickbait titles and archaic/generic advice, blessed be thy algo for bringing me here.
There’s something special about that overblown shot and the white box that becomes of the door and windows. I think it’s worth trying again intentionally, or maybe something I consider in my own work
I was kind of thinking the same thing. Even with the rest of the scene exposed well, there's something a little eerie and interesting about having the interior of just one door majorly blown out!
Awesome video Alex! Lomo 800 is probably one of my favorite stocks, I've shot a good bit of it at night :) I think these turned out great! Best of luck with the cameras!
Thank you so much! I think I honestly stress myself out with colors a little bit, so when the scans weren't immediately perfect, I had a little bit of doubt. I have another roll, so perhaps I'll head back out and see how lab scans differ!
@@alexwahoski I totally get that. I still get my stuff lab scanned and have been pretty happy with the results. Well I'm glad I came across the channel man..keep at it!
Most of the time, I try to balance between highlights and shadows, even if that means slightly blown highlights, because I think that fits the overarching theme well. But in general, if the shadows are interesting enough, I try to lean towards the shadows.

Thank you so much! I’m equally as thankful for the algo!

Brilliant photographs man! Subscribed right away. Looking forward to more 6x6 photographs :)
Thank you so much! First step will be getting one of these 6x6 boys functional haha.
Love seeing your workflow and the results! Subbed. Great work man!
Thank you so much!!
Damn you are the king at nighttime photography!! Nailing the exposures my dude 👌🏼
That is incredibly high praise, thank you so much! Doing my best to get better every time!
Have you shot Ektar at night? Obviously much longer exposure times but it’s absolutely glorious for night photography
I have not yet actually! This is definitely something I can do sooner than later though!
You should go back and photograph the postoffice cars from 11:40 🙂
Absolutely. Adding that to the list of spots I should return to!
Cool video man!

Oh my damn.
Hey great video! I’m based in Atlanta if you want to meet up and shoot sometime!
Thank you! Should be able to make something happen in the near future actually!
I use that same shit tripod with my heavy camera 😅
Mine has lived a short and rather frustrating life! haha
24 seconds in and I want to go shoot night photography. What did you meter for in those shots?

Vision3 is the superior film
At the moment, Vision3 does have my heart.
