Before watching this video, I used to take pride in hustling. Recently I've been telling a couple of my co-workers from my part time job that I'm hustling on the side and hustling to find a second job. I'm in my younger 30s and I've been hustling for 15 years... I've watched this video literally 5 times in a row to get Dan's message though my head. I've got to take another route with a different mindset TODAY. If you were to meet everybody in my life, the first thing they'd say is that I'm a hard worker. I'm more than that but I've got to see for myself that I can BE more, not just do more. Then others will see too.

  • @unabashedindividualist6232

Hard work is very important in the process. Its easy for an uninitiated person to hear "hustling doesn't make you rich" and see that Bentley and imagine that there is some magic pill they can take and become wealthy. The key is to work hard at the things that will get you where you want to go... and stop mindlessly toiling away at tasks that aren't showing results.

I figured this out working at a company. Focusing on attribution. "Which projects are the ones worth fighting for? Which projects have regional impact instead of just national? Which projects contribute to the proposition and value on which I build my career?". Those were the questions I asked myself to determine whether or not I should "hustle" or not on a particular project. Like Dan I used the sniper method. Problem is, unlike Dan I haven't figured out yet how to make that work for me outside of an employee life. As a business owner. As an entrepeneur.

I don't think poor people do what's easy. I know many poor people who lift 25 kilos of rice on their back and walk 30km back to their home on their feet. That's not easy, but what makes them poor is they don't believe they will be rich and they don't have the courage to start the thing to be rich.

I've done jobs with tasks, danger and long hours that would make most people cry for a early grave. It's not hard work that makes the difference, it's hard work with the right end goal and a strategic plan
A mile is still a mile, but you can have someone cut off your legs below the knees (employers) and try and travel that mile or you can have people carry you that mile (entrepreneur). The guy working for the employer might start sooner, but the entrepreneur will finish first and in far better condition to go for many more miles.

Some people forget that true transformation starts with a change of mindset. The true hustle is about how quickly you can change your mindset and absorb information and make the changes in your life. Cars, money, house, status and wealth are just the byproduct. I am now subscribed. Thanks Dan!

As a student and entrepreneur with a business in building, your videos are motivating. They put light where no experience was made. They confirm ideas that are not understood (or respected) by other people. Being a student with few experiences, doesn't mean you don't understand or see things. Your methods are clear. Coming from France, where money is seen as "dirty" by a lot of people, it's comforting to have a nutral and very "down to earth" approach! Thank you!!!

Another thing people should always do is to take advice from people who are successful. Never listen to friends who are unsuccessful or have not accomplished the same objectives. They will just say it is not possible.

I was working at this labor union when I was like 17 or 18 and one day someone I worked with said work "smarter not harder" while he put together this system so not only would we get everything done right, but in the end we got everything done in a timely fashion without wearing ourselves out if we were to do it the other way around.
Ever since that day, that saying "work smarter not harder" always stuck with me and has been a great benefit to me in most aspects.
Edit: that thumbnail spoke to me

the honest truth is that most of the people cant think much for themselves or didnt have a good education to even reach that mindset you are talking about. Sure they can change but at the end of the day they will fall in line and thats what the higher class always exploits... you really have to change completely if you want to reach success and only a very few people can actually do that.

Loved these insights. Every WORD Dan has uttered is true! I can relate 100% -- I am a stock trader and initially, like many, I used to "hustle" like a crazy donkey...! However, net result was either break-even or loss....! Then, like Dan has said, changed my strategy to a Sniper Vs a Shotgun....! Realized the value of "timing".... :) Well, now my hit rate is more than 75% (which is good in the trading world). Thanks for the 80:20 Principle book reference as well. Will order right away. Sincere Thanks Dan, this video is all one wants to internalize/realize to get what they want. Can't wait to see your other videos.. Cheers

Why work hard all your life just to retire at 65 and too worn out to do anything, when you can leverage your income and live as if you already retired. Basically work the muscle in your head to do the work for you. Think!!

  • @jeanalexandre1105

I think I could answer that question for you. Hustling could make you rich but you need a system. A system mean your business could operate without you. You could work on your business not in your business.

I love your videos Dan, I currently study in University and I knew that the way I was being taught was designed to be a mindset to be average and to be a standard employee who might make a 6 figure income by climbing the corporate ladder. Listening to and implementing the mindsets that I find from other entrepreneurs and yourself will lead me to my goal to make $100,000 this year and to do it 10X smarter. Thank you for your service, Dan.

And a healthy environment at work.... Will not let them leave you and go somewhere else for a small monetary jump...
