I know it sounds impressive...but car batteries are only 12.6v. 3s LiPos are 11.4v so it is not even that much more. I mean, EIR currently runs on nearly 16v.
I like the rear prime idea for the roughcut. I was going to do something similar myself by sticking the front of a roughcut on a strongarm handle and back end, but I just kinda got bored of the project half-way through and never really bothered to go back to it.
Yes, the skittles and Fanta are required. However, you are free to choose your preferred flavor of skittles. A man's skittle flavor is his own private kingdom.
Have you ever considered modifying Sledgefire shells to fire other projectiles? Like, a mega dart, or Rival rounds? It seems like there might be enough room there for a single? That air cylinder is *humongous* and carries a darn big spring...
Yay, my little Sledgey can be upgraded! Now, I must wait patiently for the day you actually finish out the shotguns, and apply k 26 to an Atlas... Although to be fair, the Atlas has similar gearing systems to the Rough Cut, and it's already got a monster of a spring inside of it, so who knows, maybe k26'ing it is actually a downgrade. We'll see.
You said the stock spring of the Sledgefire is basically K26 with a smaller diameter. My question is, since blasters like the Retaliator and Recon MKII can't take the K26 because the diameter is too big (hangs on the plunger catch), is the stock Sledgefire spring narrow enough to fit? And how does the C-836 compare with the stock Sledgefire and K26? Would it fit in a Retaliator/Recon MKII?
I would love to get my hands on all of those someday. Now, the only other shotgun I can think of, that I'm K26 curious about is the Double Dealer. Heard it's kinda bad. Wonder if a K26 could help it not be.
you can modify your sledgfire to be more powerful buy nipping off the dart posts of the shells and taking out those spike things in the plunger tube. you can disassemble it and take those out making it stringer
My only ever rough cut (Australian) I left stock and the gear train broke. Never bought another. My first ever blaster was an Air Zone Triple Shot. It was green and orange.
@@stainlesssteelruler143 but... Definitionaly, flywheelers can't even use a K26. They use the spinning of the flywheels to pull/push (no giggity jokes plz lol) the dart out of the magazine.
Regarding the Rough Cut what if you kept the pump grip and had an external connection to your rear priming bar. This would make the blaster easier to prime, allowing you to put more power.
i didnt know the Rough Cut had a Zombie Strike release. i had to look that one up. at first i thought you were referring to the Brainsaw, which is similar, but not exactly the same. (duh)
The sledge fire probably has that strong of a spring so it can fire all 3 at decent range. I bet if the spring was like the rough cuts spring the darts would go like 25 ft.
If you're interested in another Lanard blaster, give the Speedloader a shot. Or rather, the Banshee Beat 2013 re-skin. It has updated internals. I can tell you right away that yes, it can indeed take K26, and it needs it with that traditional terrible barrel length
I recently modified a brainsaw and it surprisingly can take a big spring load Don't know if the end of the plunging rod will be too small for the K26 to push the rod forward But it looks reasonable Try it out if you would like
No wonder the sledgefire is a beast stock especially if you get the 3rd party single shot shells or brass shells Ive gotten my sledgefire shooting crazy hard by just changing the shells and using stefans
Because there are so many barrels which means a lot of brass, people use to re-barrel the Tripleshot with Crayola makers. Also, I am currently building a video about a shotgun pistol.
i think aluminium barrels mite fit better than brass or PETG for the tripple shot. i saw rob from Southern brisbane nerf club use them to keep darts in a smart AR for the crossfirebow i dnt think he even put the stock barrels through a drill
make the triple shot use absolver because the biggest problem is the seal between the barrel and the gun. i used the spring of the triple shot in the single shot brother of the triple shot (the lanard sawed off hand cannon) witch standard has a better seal but a crappie spring witch becomes a beast with the triple shot spring
I still think you should upgrade your wrist raider in the form of a full auto Stryfe wired to a remote trigger put on your glove. OR You should make a molle rig that has a Titan tank and an upgraded electric pump, also attached to your glove. It could have a tube running to an absolver mounted on your spare shoulder.
Barrel break can be pump action, remove all the break barrel stuff and saw off the front parts and add a grip. And now you have a nerf sawed off shotgun. Or a poor mans rough cut
I know it's a super janky way of doing things, but how feasible would it be to externally connect the pump grip to a pullback prime? That would give you the comfort of the pump with the durability of the pullback, albeit with some added bulk to the shell.
For the triple shot, with that huge of the plunger tube, you might as well make it modular. If not that, I have an idea. For one cylinder it could be mega, for another elite, for another shotgun, and one boomco shotgun/singled
Hay just thought i was let you know the progress of the package i sent you, it left Maryland the day after it was supposed to arrive in Washington, and is currently still in transit to Washington, it will be there… eventually I guess
could you put a front pump on that roughcut that connects externally with metal, like a retaliator front pump? then you would have pump action but also the option to put a bigger spring in it. not Shure how the pump return stroke would work but I'm Shure you could figure that out
I want to do a sledgefire with that spring. make test battle used the same spring in a sledgefire, with an improved seal and PVC barrel and it was shooting 170fps singled.
i had a tripple shot where the turning mechanism didn't work properly. so i made it a single shot blaster...and now this thing shoots extremely far. :D
don't mind me Captain, I'm just here to listen to the background music you used for this video. I love Edvard Grieg, in the hall of the Mountain King is a classic!
Would it be possible to bypass the gear system by replacing it with a solid bar? It seems to actually shorten the draw from the prime, so it is sort of redundant. While doing this would make for a shorter and arguably less satisfying prime, and probably lose slamfire, but it seems like it could work.
Would brassing the barrels on a RoughCut be a good idea? I plan to keep the pump-action, with 5 kg springs, so I was wondering if that would be powerful enough for brass to be useful.
Did you do a mod guide on the rear prime of the roughcut ? And the lanard triple shot can take all types of longshot springs and indeed catch especially with the strongest version of longshot springs
Mine or Nathan's? I do lots of mods too i have several videos which mention parts on my channel: Nerf Turf does really good springs and general purpose materials and tools can be acquired quite easily in your state depending on what you are looking for.
hey cap, just wanted to say you are really cool, loved your mega magnus shotgun, gonna make my self one this weekend hopefully, keep up the good work love the vids.
Hey Chaylo, I was wondering, what if the mechanism (or vital parts) of the Roughcut was made from metal? Would that give the mechanism enough strength to handle a K26?
All hail the glorious sledgefire, well done. Definitely a good idea now to reinforce with putty in the slots of the lever arm.
I plan to...then I plan to apprentice under the master of the sledgefire until I learn some of his tricks.

I made a seldgefire build for my friend with one of those springs. It works super well.
For the back prime Roughcut would it be possible to make a cross bow type prime for it, so it would be easier to prime with heavier springs

CAN IT TAKE A SLEDGEFIRE SPRING?
On the rough cut 2x4 you can pull the trigger slightly and fire one bullet then pull the trigger all the way and shoot again without priming again
For that upgraded ruff cut maybe add a long strike grip and stock
The way said you learn something new everyday.
True

The reason the sledgefire has such a powerful spring already is because it has to fire 3 projectiles which requires more power
