Thank you for your videos. I was able to change my engine air filter and cabin air filter by myself. And i realized it isnt as hard as I thought and I have done hardly anything on a car by myself.
I replaced my filter but something didn't seem right. it was too tight when I did the clips. I found this video about how the filter only sits one way ( notch in the corner) now I know. I hope nothing got damaged
Mine has some kind of filter on the top inside that box also. What is the purpose of the second filter inside the box, up above the filter you just changed and do you have to change it also?
Thanks for the video. I wonder what the filter directly above the filter you replaced is all about. It's in the black box and it seems permanent but I was wondering if you could tell me if that needs any service. Thanks.
@@ToddsGarage I'm still wondering about that filter in the black box that appears to be permanent. No pressure but if you have a chance to take a look at it, I'd like to know what you think. Take care.
@@thomascampbell5633 Hey did you ever find out what it is and if it's replaceable? We are buying the whole air filter housing but we see that it doesn't include that top filter. Yes, it's permanently on. We broke it trying to "take it off."
@@gio132050 No, sorry but I haven't found any more information about that upper filter so I'm just leaving it as is for now. I wouldn't think it would make any difference if it was there or not but I can't be sure about that. I would think if you ask on one of these videos about the Corolla air filter that someone would know about that top filter but I'm sorry I can't help you further.
@@thomascampbell5633 yeah, I can't find any info either. I think the same that there won't be any difference without the top part. They sell the whole housing unit without that permanent upper filter. So, I'm guessing that's just how it comes stock and replacements don't have it. Just that normal bottom filter. Thanks anyway.
This is as close as you can get to the perfect video. No intros, no goofy music, no wobbly camera. Perfect! Thank you for this!

Thanks you made me save $70 bucks in labor
Man I can't believe Valvoline offered to replace mine for $100. They crazy as fuck.
Very informative video. I can now become my own mechanic at least for an air filter.

I'll have to look at mine, I'm not sure. Whatever it is for I think your right that is is not serviceable.
