Legendaries are temporary, new Druid forms are forever. I do kinda agree that the Emerald Dream could use a warmer shade of green. To be fair to the artists though, Emerald isn't exactly straight green, it's leaning a bit more towards bluish/cooler colours than to the warmer side like yellow. It also makes sense that this part of the Dream would have hints of blue in it with Amirdrassil being tied to Ardenweald.
I also would have liked if we spent a bit more time around the tree in the raid, climbing up, fighting on branches
Also disappointed you didn't show the Sylvanas armor and a human male, because that is some funny stuff.
10.2 is looking pretty good so far!
It also makes sense for the new Night Elven home to have lighting evocative of moonlight rather than direct sunlight. Make the whole area feel like a giant moonwell maybe.
The really weird thing is the top of the tree is absolutely a space they could do stuff with, it's massive, you can fly up there and explore the top level branches way more than you could even in Ardenweald. The only thing up there to do though, is collect a dragon riding glyph. Otherwise there's nothing, no critters or NPCs.

@OriginalMokthol I'd actually prefer a 10.2.5 patch spent on the tree building up a new Night Elf capital. They could do stuff like they did with people doing quests that over time progress the actual building of the capital, with new sections of the city appearing when certain thresholds are met - stuff like that.
Personally I've been greatly enjoying the world events. As a solo player who doesn't raid aside from the occasional LFR run, they've been great fun.
I always forget theres so many just like you who don't have time or interest in the, before, main Endgame options (m+ and raid). Im happy casual solo open world players finally have a reason to play post story.
Now all things can improve but it looks like a good expansion so far.

I think blue in Emerald Dream is there to make it more "dreamlike" and to make you feel like it *resembles* the real world but not actually material plane.
I'm wondering if the bluish hue may be connected to the tree's origins in Ardenweald. The seed was obtained from both Elune and the Winter Queen, so it wouldn't entirely surprise me if a part of Ardenweald started to bleed into the Dream through the new tree, making the atmosphere more blue in that region than it otherwise would be.
It is true that the zone appears less "green", but considering we'll spend months in it, I'm fine with that
The colouration of the zone is indeed strange --- There is both a fog effect and lighting tint effect that makes things look washed out, like pastel colours. If you fly high enough you can clip out of the effect - and suddenly the zone POPS visually. It looks SO MUCH BETTER without the weird visual filters they've put on -- Please keep repeating this feedback so they change it!!
Yeah I hate how the colours look like they've been bleached or a pillow that has stayed in the sun too long. It's not even the first zone or expansion to have it and it makes me miss the colours of the old zones,

@@ChinnuWoW Cosmetics, exploration, & story are literally the only reason for playing the game. The point is fantasy -- I'd never play a game like WoW for competition.
Druid get literally a whole patch worth of transmog, and noo it's not enough, u need the legendary weap which the majority of these crying players would never have been able to get anyway.
Yea, I do agree that the Emerald Dream surrounding Amirdrassil is a bit...blue. But I chock that up to all the extra Ardenweald magic infused into Amirdrassil's seed, and maybe future ED zones (if we ever get those) would be more green and less Ardenweald-y.
Wild speculation: Alexstrasza teaming up with Vyranoth is considered by awakened Tyr to be the betrayal he saw when he fought the C'thraxi and he immediatly goes mad and the Tyrs Guard is the next council fight.
i'm still surprised they havent cashed in on nzoth telling us he knows us when we go to the black empire during questing. i figured we would go back to a time BEFORE that moment and he'd recognize us from ancient ancient azeroth. like him knowing us from azeroth's past because we traveled back even further than that and he's like oh wait i know those guys from before, there they go chasing a bronze dragon
I reckon the choice to make the zone less green is because the devs want to make the Emerald Dream seem more connected to Ardenweald. The new world tree itself is of Ardenweald as well, so that may be making the Eye of Ysera more blueish. In any case, I love the colour choice.
I was thinking the exact same when I saw the colouration of the zone. When I heard we were going into the emerald dream I was thinking more of a deep thick forest where you can barely see the sky and it's overwhelmingly green more towards how it was in the emerald nightmares raid.
Just reading the descriptions in the dungeon journal (not abilities or anything, just the general description for encounter background), I totally thought we would fight that Hydra directly at the world tree. The description is, that it is pretty much a ridiculously gargantuan creature, so for me it just made sense that it would wrap itself around the world tree, and give us that Dragonriding encounter, just because it's way too huge to fight on foot.
My thoughts on the blue hue to the area is the tree is the creation of Elune and the Winter Queen, both of who's power has a blue coloration to it.
I still hope there is more to come. So far, we'd had stories focusing on the Black, Blue, Bronze and Green Dragonflights. So we still need teh Red, or at least Alexstrasza. Plus, I wonder if we are ever gonna activate that Mother Oathstone.
I'm hoping the Red Dragonflight story is a fully awaked Tyr being confronted over the order-tainted water that is STILL flowing into the ruby life pools. You know, the thing Alexstrasza said was abhorent but apparently not enough so to stop.
There is. We still have to deal with iridikron. Also 2 aspects dealing with possible corruption.
The music choice for talking about this possibly being the last big patch touched my heart 😢
I don't think 10.2 is the final major patch. I could be wrong. But I believe that at Blizzcon we'll get a 2024 Roadmap which will include the prepatch for the next Expac. Along side the 11.0 reveal. This is just my speculation though, take it with a grain of salt.
i really hope the expansion isnt over. its really good so far but i want to see how this ends in this expac. maybe im basic but i really enjoy everything being wrapped up in an expac, with the next being another adventure. it is villain of the week-ish, but i've never cared much for stories in MMOs

I recently started playing DF and I want to say the early missions where you are taking care of ducks and whelplings has been some of the best stuff, and I wouldn’t mind more fix the ducky quests, that’s all I’m saying.
I'm ok with the "wind down fated patch" because I can't keep up with all the new stuff that comes out. It was nice to actually play through Castle Nathria and Sanctum of Domination after I had established my characters and leveled a few more. Trying all my other classes on a raid I new was some of the best times I had in Shadowlands. Not to mention the extra time to get all the collectibles I missed.
I wouldn't mind a fated season at all. I just would heavily mind for it to be pretty much the only thing that happens for a full year, because 10.2 launches towards November 2023 and 11.0 would launch November 2024.
If the goal of the new zones is not to stray away from the Isles, then where could the 10.3 zone go (if there will be one)? If it were up to me, I’d put the zone in the sky. It’d be a perfect place to dragonride around.
Right? Ive been saying that since they figured out tech for zone "layering" with Zaralek they could probably do a floating sky zone at some point, a la Tears of the Kingdom

Remember when at the start of the expansion we were told that by the end of patch 10.0 we would know very certainly who the main bad guy for dragonflight would be?
By the end of the first raid it was pretty clear that Iridikron was the leader of the primalists, and therefore the villain to beat, NOT Firakk. So basically either they were outright lying then, or the plan (at least at the beginning) was to have Iridikron appear in a 10.3 patch.
tbf they said we would know who the main bad guy is, but I don't remember them saying we would beat the main bad guy of dragonflight in dragonflight. We know Iridikron is the main bad guy, but he could slip away while were busy dealing with whatever we're doing in 10.2.5 and pop up in the future. Not sure how I'd feel about that though
My theory is that maybe the blue tone to this part of the emerald dream is influence of Amirdrassil being planted there, since its seed is made from the souls of the night elves that were in Ardenweald, but yeah I definitely would prefer if it were greener.
I love the look of 10.2 personally, really happy for somewhere beautiful and green to spend time in (and yes, I do think it looks green enough 😅). I really hope for a 10.3 to round off the story and for us to defeat Iridikron in a final raid, DF would feel cut off short of there isn't imo. I want a complete, well rounded story, not another cliff hanger!
I feel like the blue hue serves a two-fold reminder. The Titans used the Dream and Ysera's new charge, Ardenweald, is linked to the Dream.
It's so odd that they've been asked multiple times whether or not there's another major patch coming as 10.3 afterwards and they keep dodging the question.
I personally don't think that we'll go a year without major updates though so I'm thinking that:
1. The next expansion will be released way earlier than we expect. Something like end of June/July instead of winter as we are used to. Which would result in the end of 10.2 only having to last 6 months ish and they could just add a fated season in the middle for freshness.
2. Something at blizzcon about the next expansion would spoil what happens in 10.3 so they are holding off on any announcements until blizzcon is over. This also makes sense because the last two chapters for 10.2 won't be tested and likely won't be out until after blizccon (looking at the likely release schedule).
Maybe something crazy leads into 10.3 and completely spoils the next expansion setting? Maybe iridokron is going to release something or cause something insane to happen that we can't deal with in a single patch? Something with the titans?
I personally hope the latter is the explanation. That would be so cool if patch 10.3 isn't the end, but the beginning of setting up something crazy
It actually does seem a bit like they are holding off on wanting to show us who the next big bad is for a 10.3 patch. Maybe because it's not what we think it is?
Tbh they never, or very rarely, even allude to content that's not even announced yet, so the reluctance to answer unprompted questions about the future means nothing.
What would have been cool is a legendary 2h axe that has an on-use like Benediction/anathema which changes the model, weapon type and stats of the weapon into lets say… a staff, itemized for druids. A weapon the can shape-shift. Very druid. Maybe next time 😅
There absolutely should be a 10.3, emphasis on should. Ending the expansion sooner IMO isn't a good idea unless they have something cooking that we don't know about but thats speculation. I don't want just two major content patches being the norm.
Do you think it is more blue because the tree is bringing more of a touch of Ardenweald to that area of the dream, since it is empowered with both forces?
I'm just getting back into WoW after ~4mo break, and honestly I think they will have some more stuff to fill that gap between 10.2 and 11.0. Maybe not a full 10.3 but more than they did for SL. Seems like they'd want to keep people hooked on the lead up to the 10th expac on the 20th anniversary of the game. Whatever they have planned, it has to be big.

I think 10.3 makes sense but Blizz doesn’t want to announce it and release their 2024 roadmap until Blizzcon. I guess the AOTC mount could be a sign that it’s the final large patch, but I doubt it, especially with user retention being up and DF having such a positive reception. I really hope that Iridikron makes it to the next expansion - there’s so much mystery surrounding him given the very limited direct interactions we’ve had, doing it all in 10.3 would be a disservice! We know he’s cunning and hungry for war and won’t be taken down easily, especially with the void on his side. It seems like he and the void are collaborating/working together rather than the void taking over like Fyrakk or Sarkareth. Perhaps he could serve as a finally boss, in some form, but without killing him.
My hopes for 10.3 would include:
- The story of the blue and/or red dragon flight. Mommy Alexstraza is too big a character to not dedicate a major content patch to her and her flight.
- Finish restoring the oathstones and the dragons regain their aspect powers
- Decay magic in some form. we know very little about it but the gnolls are wielding it and causing havoc, killing everything off. I’m singling out decay magic since Iridikron stole Galakrond’s essence - what will that amount to?
- Tyr and/or titan fallout of some kind. Perhaps more lifting of titan veil?
- The void, obviously! It’s been lurking all along and is an influence of all the big baddies we’ve seen. There’s no way it doesn’t play a large part in the next patch/xpac
It definitely seems off that druids cant use the legendary. But, a close second, that the 2H Strength axe in the Emerald Dream patch isnt the Axe of Cenarius
I think the cooler green is meant to link it to Ardenweald. It makes sense in context. Personally, as a nelf boomkin (im sorry) and Emerald Dream Enthusiast, i love it.

I really miss the strong color filters Blizzard used to use up until around MoP or WoD not sure when, Vanilla zones especially had very strong hues of green in Feralas or STV, purple in Teldrassil etc. It really did a lot to sell the mystical and fantastical vibe of the different zones, and these are now completely replaced by volumetric fog which is why everything looks blue and zones don't have as much of an identity.
There's been discussion in my guild re: 10.3 or no 10.3, and I'll sum up my thoughts: I don't see them going from releasing patches as quickly as they have been (arguably even a little *too* quickly) to having 12-13 months without a new major patch/raid tier. The longest gap in DL was what, ~8 months? Why would they throw away the goodwill they've earned with the community in DF to take one of the biggest complaints about SL & increase it by ~50%? It wouldn't make sense (not that that's always stopped them before). *However,* I could absolutely see a BlizzCon announcement that there won't be a 10.3 because the next expansion, which would wrap up the Iridikron/Incarnates story, isn't as far off as we're expecting, e.g., instead of a Novemeber 2024 release, we'll get a summer 2024 release.
Incidentally, this could make Mike Ybarra's "No pirates" comment about the *next* expansion 100% true while still having the next major *storyline* be a pirate/exploration-themed one by having that be 12.0! 🏴☠
So, we'd have fewer patches per expansion due to shorter expansions, essentially.

Glad stormdrakes and Netherwings returns thought Blizzard forgot other kind of dragon existing(even in Shadowlands) but glad these two races atleast get some lore.
What still keeps me expecting a 10.3 is that the void-related stuff this expansion started off back in the prepatch, when someone gave us that void coin in our adventure guide. It’s been set up throughout all of Dragonflight that there should be some kind of void finale.
100% for this to be the case. I think the Fyrakk fight will be the catalyst into the void. It's inevitable imo. And if not for 10.3 then absolutely for 11.0 (or both). Especially considering how badly the void want to infiltrate the dream.
For a void finale, I'd like to see the Twilight Dragonflight return & it will take all the now-united flights to fend them off.
I think this being the last patch of the expansion makes sense. Many people complained that Jailer needed more time and development. Keeping Iridikron for next expansion with new story line makes sense. Current story of Dragon Isles will be finished with 10.2 and void story with Iridikron won't be a Dragon Isles story anymore, but something more. Especially if they would include world revamp and make the next expansion story affect more than a single new continent.
No need for Iridikron to be killable for him to be the end villain. Gul dan was the main villain of Draenor and he was still there to start Legion.
The problem is that Fyrakk alone is not a resolution for the DF storyline. It's like saying "Hey Rage fo the Firelands is a really cool patch, let's finish Cataclism with Ragnaros as the end boss". A DF stopping with Fyrakk is a Cataclism without Deathwing, underwhelming and incomplete.
good thing Blizz showed in a recent tweet they can easily just change the ambient color in a zone with a simple slider. Just turn up the green, simple as.
yea the evidence certainly point´s towards .2 being the last new raid tier of the expansion, but i cannot shake the feeling that if they make Fyrakk the final boss of DF, that it would just feel off, which is the biggest reason for me thinking there will be a .3 tier
I don’t even play WoW anymore, and haven’t really since BFA, but I literally still watch Tali and Evi videos once in a while because they describing WoW with such joy and with their uniquely positive and exclusively upbeat and passionate energy makes me so warm and happy, and it makes me remember the feeling of being excited about new WoW content haha, thank you both!

Before the actual announcement of the patch I was sure 10.2 was going to be the last patch, specially with the cast iron confirmation (not really) that the new expansion is not only gonna be announced at BlizzCon, but also pre-orderable too. But the actual announcement kinda changed my mind, because they don't really say it's the final chapter in this particular story like they used to say when the final patch is revealed, there is no gravitas to the events of this patch as with other patches and there's just way too much lose ends, which i don't think can be solved with a simple 10.2.5 patch content.
My theory is that 10.3 is going to be release after 10.2.5, so season 3 will be a bit shorter, and take place in Zereth Ordus.
I've been expecting us to go to the other Zereths since ZM, and when DF was announced and so much titan stuff was included I was sure e would go to ZO, and that was even before we found the books in Uldaman where Odyn name drops it.

I’m just happy bout the old flying, my dad lost an eye to cancer and can’t fully see what’s going on with how fast dragonriding is so this will make it a lot better for him.
I'm calling it now, the reason they haven't confirmed .3 yet is because the theming gives away too much of the next expansion, so they're announcing it alongside. The final boss is Eridikron

The complaint that "only" 3 classes can use the new legendary is pretty nuts when you consider that we actually haven't had any legendary weapons that can be used by more than 1 class since Dragonwrath in Cataclysm 12 freaking years ago.
My first reaction to the visuals were: "Huh. Not very dreamy, and not very lush." Like I was expecting some more haze and fae feeling, it feels a bit ... mundane, if you will. Earthen.
With regards to your point about the Ahead of the Curve mounts being generally for the last patch raid boss, I thought that there was an Ahead of the Curve mount for Jaina in the Siege of Drazar'alor? And that was definitely not the last patch of BFA? Am I misremembering?

what hints about Zaralek were sprinkled during act 1? I basically did the whole main questline. Sorta kinda read the quests to the point I know what was going on. But don’t remember anything mentioned. and the reason I bring this up is because to me, it’s a systemic problem with modern gaming and the Internet. Basically we rely on the Internet and shared community to have any semblance of a cohesive, storyline and lore tidbits. Because only maybe one out of a dozen people or more might even notice or put together these things in the first place. Meanwhile, if it was more obvious during the actual questing experience, it would be no surprise, and people could feel like they worked things out on their own, without having to rely on watching videos like this in the first place.
i hope there will be a transition between dragonflight and 11.0. 10.3 can add a story with new raid, like last patch of WoD, where we fought Legion.

I think 10.3 is absolutely happening, but they can't speak on it because any possible leak could spoil future twists of 10.2 or make it obvious where 11.0 is going. My assumption is that Tyr will turn on us at some point soon, and cryptically hint towards seeking him out at a titan constructed base on the other side of Azeroth, with Iridikron showing up before we can process that and become the imminent threat for 10.3 that we have to deal with first. If everyone's been told to not confirm or deny it 'til Blizzcon to avoid leaks it would make sense for them to all be wishy washy about it.
My theory is that all the Titan stuff about tainting the water, rewriting history is because they knew they couldn't stop the whispers of the old gods so it was a fail safe against it for everyone. We are gonna break free and play right into the voids hand.
Well the new world tree was born in Ardenweald. That place is very blue.
Realistically, it's hard to call where they'd take the story for a 10.3 patch. It would have to be somewhat of a departure from the current main story thread. I suspect the Fyrakk fight will be the catalyst & the void will play a part.

Iridikron and the Harbinger are the villains for 10.3. They need the beacon of Tyrhold and the waters from the Halls of Infusion. We'll stop the awakening but it'll lead to 11.0 with Void/Titans.
Completely agree that I was really hoping the raid to take place more on the tree-proper. For anyone that has played Elden Ring, I was reallllllly hoping for a Haligtree-style raid where at least SOME of the raid (not all of it) takes place travelling up, through, and around, the tree itself, with structures build into/around the tree. I think that would've been a HUGE step up in thematics for the raid because frankly the raid environments this expansion are.. fine.. they're not bad; but they're pretty vanilla and bland. When you compare it to raids like... Antorus or Nyalotha, they really fall short. To be fair, those are expansion-ending raids, but even mid-expansion raids like Sanctum, Nighthold, or Tomb had way more "Wow factor" than any of the raids we've seen in Dragonflight. But I haven't seen the new raid in its entirety yet, so maybe there is still some hidden pizzazz we have yet to see.
Thoughts on a tier set discussion video? I main ww and have some worries about my upcoming tier. TLDR monks don’t auto attack, affects two set 😢 but as for design of future tiers, it feels like there is some gap between designers and and how these classes function. Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter, T&E is most certainly my favorite wow coverage show!
In my opinion, this is not the final patch of the expansion and I don’t think the emerald dream is too blue. First, on one hand this would suck if this was the final patch because that would be a year of 10.2 before we got pre-patch for 11.0. Now Blizz has been decent with minor patches helping to draw interest and in some cases supporting the solo players. However, it would be irrevocably damaging to the player base for us not to have a 10.3 with irridokron as the final boss. Literally he is the main baddie and even though they have done well to hype up Fryak. None of us are going to want to raid for an entire year to constantly defeat Fryak. Second, one shouldn’t judge the emerald dream on the color emerald or green alone. These colors are often used to associate with nature because nature has a variety of colors. However, the use of emerald her may be more a descriptor of it being a lush environment of nature. This far the previews make it look beautifully lush and vibrant like the On’haran plains and even Ardenweald. Therefore I’d assert that her it being called the Emerald Dream isn’t truly about the amount of green color but the lushness and vibrancy of the nature you would find there. A place of life and beauty.

The main reason I think there’ll be a 10.3 is that there would have been no point having such a fast patch cadence if they had absolutely nothing to back it up with in 2024. They wouldn’t race through all the patches only to have almost a whole year of fated raids.
In my view, if the 10.2 patch drops at or even before the one-year mark from the release of Dragonflight (i.e.. November 2023), then there is NO WAY that Blizzard could drag out 10.2 (including both a 10.2.5 and 10.2.7 patch) ALL the way out to November 2024 for the next expansion release. Either there will be a proper 10.3 patch released, or the next expansion (11.0) releases much sooner than November of 2024.
Agreed. You don't take people's biggest complaint about SL and double down on it by having an even longer gap (potentially more than a year) between major patches, especially after having a patch (major or minor) every 6-10 *weeks* for DF's first year. All that would accomplish is to change many people's sentiments towards DF from "best expansion ever" to "worst expansion ever." But splitting this story between two shorter expansions & letting us deal with Iridikron in the next one, releasing next summer? I think that's a strong possibility.

Blizz is clearly working on the expansion after already. I can't wait to see what Blizzcon will bring.

I'm expecting a 10.3 patch/story, BUT I won't be disappointed if there isn't those patches. I've enjoyed this expac so far and I just want them to tell a good story and have fun playing it

Good video. Meh to the idea of having more green in the new zone. Thank goodness that the currency tab will actually be used for this patch.
Typically, blue is used for atmospheric perspective, or depth. You are looking long distances through air and water (humidity), creating a blue tint. Everything seems green to me for the land and foliage, but the air is blue when looking in the distance. I seem nothing wrong with that. Any more green and it would wash out.

It would make sense with the patch probably releasing right after the time ways event ends. A week after blizzcon and the race will start a week before Thanksgiving. Which means if it isn't a 1 week race the Americans will have to race through one of their holidays. After Thanksgiving and we have the whole Christmas holiday situation again.

Yea I have to say I agree about the colors, we used to have very vivid colors but at times I feel like my graphics are blurred or weird contrast in dragonflight, because it just seems very washed out, like there is a filter over it.
As for 10.3... I mean there has to be a 10.3 doesnt it? Othewrise what is the point of the quick patch cycles if we end the expansion with 6+ months of nothing (new raid/dungeons etc, story is a possibility of course and always welcome). Realistically far more if we assume that the new expansion would release around november time.
Also, I remember how they were saying that after defeating Razzageth we would know who the final boss of this expansion was, and while technically its true we knew him, I doubt anyone would actually expect Fyrak to be the final boss, not on his own anyway.
I also had "This feels like Zereth Mortis" when I saw it, I don't think you're going crazy. I agree the end of the emerald nightmare raid feels more like what I expected.
I rate BFA higher than WoD and SL BECAUSE it had three major patches. For all it's faults, it had content. So if DF only gets two major content patches, then if goes into the same category as Wod and SL and I don't believe it deserves that.
Did I miss this content - as I no longer raid/haven't done the mega-dungeon? For me, there's one MAJOR storyline that's incomplete, that started in pre-patch when we went to Uldaman and the Discs were thrown into the timeways, and continued with the quest ending in "The Silver Purpose" with Tyr's body re-forged - but no memories to fill it. When will we be exploring the time-ways to retrieve the discs and "rebuild" Tyr?

Part of me likely suspects that even if Dragonflight will be over in 10.2, that doesn't mean it is the end of the story Dragonflight started. With how much the mortal races and dragons have been working together, I can see the Dragon race have a much bigger part to play in the stories to come. Not only could we potentially see Dragons and mortals fighting as proper equals in defending the world, but also potentially those like the aspects be more involved in the politics of the world.
Plus if they can perfect revamping old Zones, we could see new stories being told as the world organically changes as a result.
tbh this skybox is most likely due to the world tree's seed being a mix of the Emerald Dream / Ardenweald

The Emerald Dreams is indeed way TOO BLUE.
I honestly did expect it to be a lot greener, with green sky, green haze, all that green stuff.
I also expected it to be a lot more... dreamlike, mysterious or otherworldy. This feels more like just another pretty zone on Azeroth.
But mostly I I expected it to be greener, yeah.
How about a compromise for the last patch: an oldfashioned single boss raid in Wyrmrest Temple. They're dragons!

It’s not the final patch! We still have Iridikron left to deal with and probably Galakrond.
There won't be a Galakrond story going forward. It was only mentioned during the Dawn of the infinite dungeon and that is all. Iridikron is set up for the new expansion.
blizz has been big on their "overarching story over multiple expansions" approach now, so we hopefully we won't deal with Iridikron in DF, would be weird to get rid of all our evil guys before the next expansion if the story is supposed to be overarching

There better be a 10.3, if 10.2 releases next month or December and there is no 10.3 that'd likely be a 11 or 12 month wait. Breaking that up with a 10.3 would be ideal and no, not a scuffed 9.2.5
5:30 I have to say that I do actually like the world events. Sure, they are not new, they are not super creative, but they are still entertaining and help nicely to get some gear for my alts.
As for a 10.3 patch - I'm actually a bit indifferent about that. In a time where smaller patches do stuff like the Vaults (which was some cool and unique content)....there's a lot they can do without a new raid tier. They could even bring a new dungeon on a smaller patch (which I'd actually prefer over a new raid). In Legion they didn't only release a new mega dungeon but also two normal dungeons (Cathedral of Eternal Night and The Seat of the Triumvirate) which was cool. They could even do a small raid or two with 1-4 bosses each (just like in the old days: Onyxia's Lair, Magtheridon, Gruul's Lair, Eye of Eternity etc).
I have raided for many, many years (all the way from the original Onyxia's Lair and Molten Core up to the Sepulcher) and I have to say that I simply lost my appetite for raids and stopped raiding this expansion (with the exception of the occasional LFR just to see what the raids and bosses look like).
I really enjoy Dragonflight and not because of a focus on new raids but because Blizzard finally does stuff in the Open World as well. Raiders way too often complain about "content droughts" and times between raid tiers being too long....however people who do not raid or PvP had way more of a content drought.
