    Awsome work guys.. very interesting. As a mechanic I love to see this. I have a peugeot 206 1.6 16v TU5JP4 from the year 2000. I want a preparation for an NA engine with around 200hp. Wich material from SRT do you recomend? Thanks in advance.

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  6 років тому

      Thanks mate! For an 200hp engine I would always recommend one of our race engine calculations - there you will get all the information that you need.
      About the SRT-parts for sure an CNC machined head, the SRT isolation inlet gasket (if there is an alloy inlet manifold) and one of our SRT valve spring and retainer sets. For sure you will need more parts to accomplish the goal...

    The more i watch these kind of videos the more im doubting to have a specialist do this part of the build lol

      @@HeavyMetall4life yes in these places you need to be very accurate and clean. And of course some experience helps...

    What pistons those are? I am building tu5jp4 turbo engine and i cant find pistonst for 400-500hp :(

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  6 років тому

      In this video you can see Wössner pistons with an special coating. But we have the connections to get the right parts for your HP-goal. ;)
      Anyway I would recommend an engine calculation for such an project to choose the right parts.

    Is there any way I can get my 2000 vts engine fully refurbished? Cheers

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  5 років тому

      Hi, its possible sure, but its hard to send an complete engine to other countries.

    Is the only difference between a stock j4 and jp4 the piston domes? Or are there also stroke differences and did you have to shorten the stroke to be able to run 10k rpm?

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  6 років тому

      The engine in this video is designed for 8000rpm / the bloc can hold up to 9500rpm with these internals you see there, but its build for hydraulic followers and high torque spec.
      There is more difference between TU5JP4 and TU5J4, like the piston pins 18mm pressed against 19,5mm floating.
      On the full race engine we use an special forged crankshaft with lower stroke.

    • @sjefs5513
      @sjefs5513 6 років тому

      SaxoRacingTeam do you know if the bare metal block is exactly the same between jp4 and j4?

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  6 років тому

      Depends on the year, the later ones are not so easy to convert to the good old oil filter and pressure switch.
      Crankshaft is nearly exactly the same. Rods are a bit different because of the pressed in 18mm wrist pins.

    • @sjefs5513
      @sjefs5513 6 років тому

      SaxoRacingTeam i have the later block from a 307. The oil filter was a bit fidling but i managed to convert it to the old style

    • @SaxoRacingTeam
      @SaxoRacingTeam  6 років тому

      the newest style needs a drill and new thread for the pressure switch - its still possible but harder, older ones just have an plug there.
