About repairing things, I'll warn you that a lot (but definitely not all) ceramics and stoneware when broken, chipped, or damaged can leech some nasties into your food. Damage like that breaks the glaze and possibly exposes you to particles from the glaze, paint, and clay which could possibly contain lead, cadmium, etc. Not to mention that damage to your ceramics/stoneware can harbor bacteria. I wouldn't use any damaged ceramics for use with food.

I know that not everyone has the ability to be able to get enough sleep but when I started going to bed by 10 and getting 8 hours I was more awake the next day which meant less/no on the go caffeine and, therefore, less packaging. I also became organised and prioritised meal prep which meant less convenience food and less packaging.

It really does take habits to do zero waste. I buy food in bulk so I need to be in the habit of soaking beans, cooking grains, making sure I start cooking before I'm hungry because it takes time.

Just sewed the armpit of a shirt today and the butt of a pair of shorts lol
Cut the sleeves off a short sleeve shirt because no matter how much I washed that one shirt the deodorant stayed on the pits so whatever now I have a muscle shirt 😎
Also made a bird feeder out of a milk jug that I got from my co worker

I remember you talking about unplugging and now I always unplug things when I'm not using them

Love the tips! I personally sarted composting this year. Another goal I'm working on is unplugging, both ways!

Great video Kathryn, I love all your tips. Writing to businesses is so important! Voting with our dollar and demanding better packaging and practices from the corporations that run our world. Love your humor and phantom electricity video.

Love the sustainable habits! I really like upcycling things before recycling them! I think many people think recycling is the best option but reusing something before you recycle is definitely better. Could you create content on how-to and what you have upcycled/repurposed?

Should look at azure standard or the wally shop they're an online bulk store and the second one has a package reuse program

How are you doing on your goals? Are you getting outside more and doing anti racism work?
