    Wow, I am impressed!
Of course, still too low rpm, but 21 positions gained… wow!
You don’t need that lighter crankshaft, just 32mm PWK, extend manifold a bit +higher rpm - that will be just perfect!
Looking forward to see you in a pro group! Huge respect!

I may have to try that PWK carb. Though I will miss my pumper carb and it’s low-end hit.

I was wondering the same thing... Listening to his bike, I thought maybe I have been frying my engine screaming in higher RPMs.

I'm an old man now (76) with only memories. Rode those hills your racing on in the 60s before anyone ever thought about a race track.

Most of the San Diego hills I used to ride in as a kid in the 70’s and kicked out by cops because of “environmental damage” is now covered by housing and industrial buildings.

When money's to be made they forget all about environmental damage. Cops tried to bother us but couldent catch us😁

Nice ride! Can't believe they had you guys doing so many laps. You definitely put up a good fight, though. Thankfully those 230s are more fun than fast. I've had a couple of them. Thanks for posting that up. Cool to see someone my age still out there racing.

Man that was fun to watch. You kicked butt, cleared half the field! Pretty impressive. 20 min moto at that pace is no joke. Well done, thanks for the ride! 👍✌

Awesome!! What's your trick for alleviating arm pump? Mine usually goes away after the first 20 minutes of trail riding...that's an entire moto. (I see your BREATHE reminder, that certainly helps.)

I finally figured out how to pre-warm up, stay on the balls of my feet, squeeze with ankles, bend at the hips instead of the knees, relax my grip, and chew gum at the same time.

Last time we chatted you were working on a big bore upgrade. Did you get that done and if so what do you think? i think i was Franks (enginesonly) last engine job he was doing. My bike is back together now but i need to work on the carb to get it dialed just right.

I used the Wiseco 67.5mm (237cc) with a larger Web cam, and 1.5mm larger stainless intake valve, thin head gasket, with some mild porting. I did it all at once so…I can’t really say which one thing did the most. Didn’t have much ride time on the new motor, was still having issues with 30mm pumper carb, needs more tuning.
      Video coming on that project.

@@lowbuckgarage1 thats awesome! love to hear more when you have that all figured out. i ended up going with franks big bore and had to machine the case. I also put a 232 cam in it. for the carb i had the pkw pumper before but ended up changing to a 32mm nibbs flat slide carb on it. I ported the head (not much there you can do without cutting through) and opened the intake side for the larger carb. i'm still trying to adjust the carb, but I ended up getting a wideband O2 to set the carb right. not sure on the improvment...however i do have my dads stock 230 which i'll race soon to see the diff.
