Exhibition of paintings and sculptures of Joanna Sokolowska is a journey into the inner life experienced not by reason but by the heart. It is an incentive for reflection and stopping for a moment in the daily rush of life, and an invitation to look at the personal, intimate world of each of us.
The richness of texture, clear painting and sculptural gestures oscillating between realism and abstraction, rich colors - it all adds up to a complex picture of a man, built from the experiences and emotions. These variable states of mind and spirit, vibrating and quivering inside each of us, become for the artist a source of artistic exploration. Painting and sculpture are the author's way of expressing intangible feelings and mental states in tangible two -and- three-dimensional forms.

Venue of the exhibition - Fort Sokolnickiego - is of particular importance for the author - it is a secluded and magical place favorable for reflection, situated in the heart of Zoliborz - where she grew up, and now again lives and works.
The viewer wandering through the climatic chambers of Fort Sokolnickiego, has the opportunity to stand in front of the paintings and sculptures that are embedded in emotion and try to convey something more than just the physical image of man. They are supposed to stir us, to touch us and put us in a state of internal "vibrations".
