How do I give up my US CITIZENSHIP? I have a 7 yr. old cat. Are there vets for animals? I have lots of questions. (can you tell?)😂😂
Hello Jose. Really love your content, thanks :) Just trying to get a handle on the heat/humidity in Merida and in this video the weather looked pretty pleasant even under full sunshine. It looks like it was taken in the evening but just wondering if you can confirm the time of day you shot it? Thanks again :)
This is exactly how I shop with my wife. A few things that I found funny was a sign in the meat store that explained the importance of refrigerating your meat if you were not going to eat it right away. Me and my wife seem to shop every day. Our neighborhood has so many more local house stores. We can walk less than three blocks and find almost anything that you would want. I also find it hilarious when my wife asks me if I want some nuts, we walk 4 houses down and buy 30 grams of peanuts and 30 grams of almonds. That’s right a couple dime bags of nuts. If you want more tomorrow, just buy more.

How and where does the average bear fit in? BTW Does Christian have an older hermana?🤷♂ 😎
They are on a Budget. They owned a home in the USA like many people do, and they could not afford the insane property taxes anymore, so they sold everything and rebuilt in Mexico only to be in the same situation as the USA minus the insane property taxes and now they can actually live on their retirement instead of barely making it back in the USA. They live on a budget to make sure they dont blow through all of their money like many expats end up doing. If you come to Mexico and dont live on a Budget you will also end up not making it, simple as that. Dave and Rebecca represent the majority of people looking to retire and not have to continue working till forever....... You used to be able to do it in the USA but now you have to move to a different country just to have a simple and humble retirement.

Hello! Very spacious home. Thanks for showing. Is it true that running an ac unit is expensive? If so, how expensive a month? Is it tolerable to live without ac running or all day?
Yes running the A/C all day and night can get mighty expensive and also make your A/C not last as long by running it non-stop. Same thing as running a heater all day and night in the cold, it will get mighty expensive. So rule of thumb if you need A/C 24/7 then Merida might not be for you same thing as if you need the heater on 24/7 then perhaps a colder climate is not for you. I know people that spend 50 USD a month on electricity and others who spend 250-500 a month on electricity just due to the fact of how long they run the A/C throughout the day.
@Jose Arteaga Travels Thanks for your answer. I wonder if the weather is the same as South Florida? I imagine that even though you don't run ac but the advantage is the homes are break and high ceiling, which I assume it helps keep the homes cool.
Locals won't live in that neighborhood if they can avoid it! Sure you can get big houses for cheap, but that old colonias are deteriorated, streets full of garbage and public water and electricity services are VERY old and neglected. Parking spaces are scarce and streets will turn into black rivers when it rains... not to mention that those old hoods don't have drainage but septic tanks, so it's not uncommon bad smell when in the rainy season.
Tell us you live in the North without telling us you live in the North of the city. But hey you make a great point. Many locals dont want to live in areas like this but many Foreigners do. Many that sell end up moving to nicer homes in nicer neighborhoods. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Saludos!
