    There is a little button on the top of the coupler block that relieves the hydraulic pressure so you can easily disconnect the hoses

    When we used to work out of town we had a check list of potential problems such as axtra hydraulic fluids and filters. Extra fuel and fuel filters and the most common hoses that have the greatest chance of blowing.

    With the grade change all around the tree infront of the garage I'd be worried about it being hazardous from having too many roots removed. You might want to consider taking that one out now proactively, 1, to prevent it from becoming a hazard as it will die from the root damage/soil compaction of running machines over it, 2 it will be easier to final grade out in front of the garage.

    Stan
    I just want to say that as a fellow youtuber I really appreciate all the work you do in producing videos like this.
    People dont realize the work involved in getting all those camera angles - Drone footage - and explaining what's going on - Oh and not to mention the works gotta get done the break downs gotta get fixed and the camera equipment has gotta make it off job without getting destroyed and then the 2hr editing process begins! Folks dont realize how doing a video on these jobs REALLY SLOWS production down.
    Thank God your on your own property and dont have a homeowner standing there or under a time crunch. Very nice videos man and i have learned alot from you - I only hope one day my videos will be as good and informative as your are! It Def a process and i have a lot to learn fosho!

    • @Dirtmonkey
      @Dirtmonkey  2 роки тому +1

      You nailed it Ray, but technically we spend about 6-8 hours in editing each video. and it sure does slow down the project a ton. Work has to stop to move the cameras- its is a labor of love for sure. I wish you the best with your channel and your work!

    I've been thinking of regrading the driveway at my family cabin. It has an 11% grade slope around a sharp curve, I'd like to reduce that to 7% or less. With how the property is allocated, I might have to cut in an entirely new driveway next to the existing one. Our cabin is a landlocked property so we only have access by driving up the mountain and back down our neighbor's driveway. We're about ⅓ up the mountain, high enough to get a steady breeze but not too high as to be seen atop the hill.

    It might be a bit pricey, but shave the top of the hill to give the fill needed to reduce the pitch of the slope and then cap the top and sides of the driveway with a 4-6 inch thick slab of concrete...That should ensure that the fill stays put and gives a low-slope, easy to maintain driveway that's easy to plow/snow blow in winter since there's no risk of the plow/blower digging into the dirt/stone of the driveway...
    This way, the ONLY material that you need to import to the site is the concrete (and maybe an inch or 2 of good compacting base material for the slab if none can be found onsite)...

    It’s interesting the difference in terrain around the country. For us here that’s a pretty mild driveway to cut. It’s not unusual to have a 75-100’ elevation change on a lot that gets prepped for a home. Wheeled units are completely useless unless its flat here. Cool video.

We'd drag the nose or the tailboard trying to get ambulances or fire engines up them. A few driveways we serve were nearly a mile long. Throw some snow and ice in the mix and it gets interesting.

    I know that you've had your fair share of skid steers over the year's! Not sure of you are willing but would you be able to do a maintenance / upkeep video on the ASV verses your other machines? I've been looking at them and watching other ASV owner video's. I'm concerned / hesitant on the overall maintenance on that track system! I've heard amazing things about them but I've also heard about costly repairs / maintenance on the boggy wheels, linkages and such. Great to see some dirt moving going on. Hopefully people will stay out of there seeing that work is getting done.

      Hi had HydroMac track skid steer‘s and the drive wheels went through the tracks which allowed mud to squish in and fill up the track system other manufactures do the same thing. I switch to ASV because the track cleans out better and it does not have the holes in the track to allow the mud in. And that mud is like sandpaper when it dries and that’s what Destroys your track system

      Your channel used to interesting, but little by little, you have been dropping cogs. , Ok, the guy with the drag snow plow that kept shearing pins, wasn't really your problem, however the fix was simple. But the show where the dump trailer would not always fully dump. Was the start of you loosing your cogs. What a stupid situation to present,. Have you figured it out yet? Now you present this dumbass video,. Where is the danger with this driveway? If you compare the level of the road, and compare it to the height of the top of the drive way, you would see that proper grading your dangerously steep drive is nothing at all. Stick with landscaping and leave cause instruction to people who know what they're doing
