I had literally the exact same situation on my property this summer after buying a new wheeled skid steer. I was within my 30 day limit to return the machine and bought a tracked machine. I had no idea how much better the tracks are on slopes like this!
It struggles backing up with the bucket all the way down because material is building up. Most of the time just lift your bucket a little with some material in if possible for weight. Also need to push more sand so it’s not so steep.
Jim has figured out that bald ass tires and those cheep ebay chain tracks don't give you any traction , Good tires and a set of Grouser tracks would have been a world of difference and a lot shorter video .
I love the tractiontracks on there now. I replaced my grouser tracks with these cause the grousers weigh 500lbs and weren't manageable for 1 guy. Took some time to build the courage to commit to pushing the pile over!

That took some serious courage...I salute you.
This is literally what I had to do at my place as well. Great vid thanks
I'd have rolled that damn thing I just know it. Good job !

Great beginner tips.
Hope the road didn’t wash out though due to no drainage. Looks like the road is going to be the drainage.
that darn sugar sand is so difficult with skidsteers. good job and use heavy rock to build up that trail or road you are making. it will help a bunch!
Thanks for the tip...I wish I had a gravel pit on the property.
Need a tracked machine for that kind of work still good job
I think he should have mapped it out first.😉 I'm getting anxious just watching it.
please tell me you fixed the mismatched tires
i would say the use of a "wheel" skid steer for this kind of slope was not well thought out.
That was brave!
That's not to bad but definitely not newb job nice work. I work in Ozarks got some steep stuff just more rocky red clay 😅
My Bobcat on a hill makes me clench !

It’s for insurance purposes, lol
I got rocks and want sand you have sand and want rocks figures
Definitely not steep. With all that dirt. he can create his slope on the way down.
Whoever Jim is, needs a tracked machine. I wouldn't even consider a skidsteer
Jim’s very fortunate to have any machine to play with. Send me a link to your content.
Spoke too soon. That machine has tracks😮
