- The Collapse was bad for a variety of reasons. Cataclysms, Death and the pursuit of the Final Shape thanks to the Witness. Humanity also suffered casualties at the hands of the Warmind. In new Final Shape lore, we see how terrifying these final moments were

I spent this whole video wondering if there was an april fools joke coming, but this was just a normal video.
There needs to be more lore surrounding colony ships. Largely unexplored part of destiny lore.
Forget those, I want to leave the system to see other stars beyond stepping through a portal to the Black Garden or The Dreaming City. We know humanity went beyond the heliopause, what happened out there?

Unfortunately any interesting lore like that always turns out to be “it was the hive” or never gets answered. Bungie being Bungie
Honestly saw that thumbnail and questioned what I was missing while on break from Destiny for once.. Then, I thought about it a bit more and realized before I selected the video ^^'

I swear it's funny how during the collapse and the age of dark, it was literally like a whole ass 6v1 against humanity and humanity pulled the "I didn't hear no bell"
I had a bit of a weird realization the other day that it is impossible for a society to know when it’s “golden age” is because you can only know that after the fact. Could would be at the height of human prosperity right now?
It's also technically true in the opposite direction; you can't be sure a civilization won't ever reach the same heights or even go beyond what could be considered it's golden age. That's the tricky thing about an undecidable problem (which is very much fitting in Destiny's story)
Could we be at the pinnacle now? Yes.
Could it be even better in the future? Yes.
eventough all this lore we know and get nowadays is neat in its own way...in a way i miss the old days where the darkness and collapse were a great mystery left without information deliberatly, your biggest worry was the hive and their gods/magic or the vex with their time traveling.
Well i think with TFS the game will enter a new saga, and with it... new mysteries

It still seems lazy what they did with Rasputin in Seraph. We had plenty of evidence that his weapons/warsats were never the least bit effective against any paracausal force, let alone the pyramid ships. He failed at every turn to even damage the black fleet or stop the darkness. His warsats wouldn't have even scratched the Traveler. I feel like Bungie just wrote themselves into a corner and had no idea what to do with Rasputin in world so they just killed him off.

That’s only one part of it the other part is that firing all the weapons at the traveler is a big enough act of war for the hive god of war to open up a portal the black terrace to instantly teleport her entire army right on top of earth and then boom the last city will be gone
@@timwang7280 I don't buy that either given our history in Destiny. We've wiped the floor with every Hive "god" and their army put in front of us so far, so the Xivu threat never really felt all that real/bad to me. Hopefully they figure out a way to do her justice, I'm assuming in the episodes that are to come after Final Shape, because it was also pretty bad with how they just relegated her to off screen stuff and Eris sealed her throne world with no real fight.
They were never planning to hurt the traveler, the witness knew only the veil could help it get inside. It needed the traveler in a more advantageous position, in order to attack. Im more curious about whatever made the traveler shed its skin in the EDZ

LoL, But Rasputin was meant to be subordinate to the will and whims of Clovis Bray, it was thanks to ANOTHER Bray that Rasputin gained an independence such that he COULD put in place such protocols AND subvert Clovis's control permanently.

😂 Rasputin acts like it's the end all be all when the useless thing just shut off 😒 at the most critical time taking all of humanity's juicy golden age weapons and stuff with him. Honestly, they should scrap that thing for toaster parts it be more useful that way

Lol right. Mf claimed he had no equal but got one shot by a Pyramid ship 😂😂😂😂 And in usual fashion, he was in shambles and guardians had to do all the heavy lifting to make him pseudo-functional, which is all that's happened with Rasputin ever since D1. He is/ was beyond useless
@@TheForbiddenOne55 you seem to be under the impression ANYTHING can damage the pyramids? Excluding the traveller, the only damage we’ve seen is in rhulk’s raid, and that was a planet killer blowing up, and the only other lore instance is mara sov ripping one apart herself.
To say Rasputin is weak for being unable to 1) defeat an enemy whose whole purpose is to get stronger from war and 2) fail to damage a ship designed by a species with technology developed over billions of years, a species who could grant other lesser species golden ages just by virtue of how powerful they were.
@@Azakadune cool... now explain all the other instances where he was entirely useless. Like the red war when the Cabal invaded and he did what? He could absolutely wreck the iron lords for going after SIVA but couldn't be arsed to lift a finger against the fallen 😐. Ever since it claimed it had no equal the only thing noteworthy that Rasputin actually did was shoot down the plummeting almighty (which 1.required a bunch of work aka heavy lifting to be done by guardians, 2. Never would've been necessary had our designated earth defense system did its one job and defended earth to begin with), and commit self deletion to protect the Traveler getting fired on because he got infiltrated by Eramis (because somehow a weapon of that magnitude wouldn't need any defense frames protecting it from security breaches, plus he didn't even detect that his systems had been compromised until it was too late 😐).
So, not only was Rasputin [understandably] ineffective against a more powerful ancient foe, it has been entirely ineffective against all foes... well... except actual guardians....
