Breaking NES Tetris with GLITCHED COLORS! 1356 lines and 4,888,640 points (PAL)

At level 138 (1320 lines), NES Tetris starts reading the wrong location for palette updates, which causes the playing field to showcase random and glitched colors. I've now become the first person to reach these in a normal game! This play also more than doubles the best NTSC games in score and lines.
This is the culmination of a 3-month long grind and 3 years of playing this game. Before this, I had 10 runs get to 1000 lines, each of which took at least 30 minutes to get there in the first place. I really cannot express how happy I am with this; my reaction felt even greater than I had expected.
Couple of important caveats: the only reason this is possible is because I'm playing on the PAL version of NES Tetris. Its killscreen is around 17% slower than normal, which goes a long way in ensuring consistency. Additionally, I'm playing on a clone console called the RetroUSB AVS. This is why my game capture looks so sharp, but it also means I'm playing at a framerate of exactly 50 fps, instead of the normal 50.007 fps. This is a difference of about 0.01 ms per piece, so I do think it's safe to ignore.

@@crazilycrazy29 they are both world records for different versions of the game. The PAL and NTSC versions have slightly different level and piece movement speeds due to difference in frame rates, so they are separate records.

I await the day in which "colors" are reached on the NTSC version, and then in actual gameplay. Maybe someday a pair of high-end rollers will end up going "double colors" (both reaching past level 138).
Maybe one day we might beat that 800+ line level far in the weird colors area.

YAAAAY! I didn't miss any of all 37 streams/attempts (usually late at night in my timezone) and I was so happy seeing satisfying COLORS, but I was even happier seeing Fractal being that much happy about reaching COLORS. Brilliant job!

The progression of NES Tetris, what was once extremely hard to imagine has now become reality. In many years it would take very long for a million score to eventually reach 20% more than that.
Now, it'll take only two years or less for this nearly 5 million score to be doubled.

Funny thing is I remember Jani Herlevi himself telling me to "go to hell" for even deigning to suggest that maxing out on PAL would one day be possible. Now people are reaching the weird colors and making maxing out on PAL look like something anyone can do (well, anyone who takes up rolling).
I await the day when someone is able to roll the score over after applying the 7-digit score patch. This would take 15 million points. My record (on my own custom Tetris romhack) is just over 10 million. I'm trying to reach "colors" on it, and so far have failed.

Level 49 Tetris is 60,000 points. Level 99 Tetris is 120,000 points. Level 119 Tetris is 144,000.
Tengen Tetris is a slog. It takes every 30 lines up to 150 then every 50 lines to 950 then 1030 lines and repeat.
1,000,000 in Tengen Tetris wraps to 100,000 instead of 0. Think of it as a bonus.

Rolling technique. You tap the controller from underneath with multiple fingers into your finger instead of tapping fast with that finger.

Why no killscreen on pal??
This is killscreen on pal. It's way faster than NTSC 19, but slightly slower than NTSC 29. Just because the game only goes as fast as one row drop per frame, and the pal frames are slower. They adjusted a few things in the pal version which is why it's not just slower throughout but they can't make the killscreen any faster
