Crazy that she says acting doesn’t feel easy for her, because I always find her acting so natural and effortless. She’s incredible
Effortless is such an odd thing for an outsider to insist someone else's work is. It's just that the effort isn't noticeable
@@VioletEmerald where is he "insisting"?
I know! She was amazing in all of her movies especially the Notebook. The movie was a bit cheesy but it was her acting in those emotional scenes that made it so authentic and real.
@@LNatureblush Fully agree! And the “cheesiness” of “The Notebook” is totally because of the plot line with the older age life of the main characters, which is why when I rewatch this movie (and I’ve done it many times) I skip the scenes in the “present time” and watch only the “youth time” line of plot with Rachel and Ryan. They’re just really incredible, both of them!
Acting is the easiest thing in the world. Try operating a crane.
A wave of nostalgia washes over me every time I see Rachel. I'm glad she's back from her hiatus. She's an amazing actress 💙
Why did she leave
@@no1nestandsalone387 She had left the industry for a while to give birth to two kids. And now she’s back thank Goodness!
I just saw "About Time" for the first time on Netflix and was almost blinded by her likability. Didn't even recognize as the actor from "Mean Girls."
@@no1nestandsalone387 Did you miss the interview? She talks about it.
Ditto! I LOVE her and her work!
It's actually amazing how humble and down to earth she is knowing she's super talented and super good looking. A breath of fresh air
Rachel is just so incredible! She’s very much unlike other Hollywood stars as she’s so private but also so real. She takes into account the general rules of the cinema industry, but at the same time she absolutely establishes her own ones and gently follows them without offending anyone, but still keeping quite a bit of insularity and self-sufficiency. It’s SO admirable! ❤
Rachel is an amazing actress who is highly underrated. She shot the notebook and mean girls in the same year, and they’re both such different characters and movies with a wide range of emotions and two totally different characters and she nailed them both. And she hasn’t aged lol
Agree and I didn’t even recognize her in “Spotlight”. A versatile actress for sure
Omg I didn't realize that!!
LITERALLY, I LOVE HER 🥹
Rachel McAdams is by far one of my favorite actresses. Her range is incredible. From a romantic film like The Notebook, a teen comedy like Mean Girls, a thriller like Red Eye to this new coming-of-age film Are You There God? It's Me Margaret- there is no film Rachel can't do. ❤
I’m still in love with Claire.
Not to mention the indie drama "Disobedience" as the orthodox jewish woman having an affair with her childhood girl friend (Rachel Weisz). - She is always so likable and incredible charming and beautiful, just as in real life! Please never give up acting!! We need you 😘🙏
Dont forget True Detective season 2. OMG, she was so mean and dark and gritty. Just complete opposite from the sweet gal we know. She has MAJOR range!
Rachel is a wonderful actress and a beautiful woman, too. After seeing her in About Time, she's become one of my favorite actresses. There's not a bad thing that I can say about her. She's so down to earth and genuine as a human being. Love her so much.
About Time is one of our favorite drama/romance movies, not just of hers, but of all time. It's right up there with Notting Hill for us.
Shes in so many amazing films
I met her once when I was a hostess in LA and I mean growing up watching Mean Girls… she is just the absolute sweetest soul! I mean really just the nicest person!
I bought the book for my daughter in 1975 or 1976 when she was transitioning into her early teens. "Are you there God, it's me Margaret" is a wonderful book for girls, and their mothers too!
I read it as a high school freshman in the early 80's.
The book should be banned on the sexual content by the Right and on the lack of wokeness by the Left because Judy Bloom also wrote a book about a peeping Tom ("Then Again Maybe I Won't). It's true - it was a teenage boy getting off on staring at a girl's bumblies though the window with a pair of binoculars. Just Romeo and juliet because Shakespeare was clean with that.
I read ~ Loved it too ❤
I think the book has made an impression on so many girls and women over the years. I was a very late bloomer, and it worried me that I was physically behind my friends. I read this book when I was young, and then again my sophomore year in high school. Margaret really helped me out.❤ (My sister's name is Margaret, too.) 🌸🌺🌼🌻
She's so humble and down to earth. And also an INCREDIBLE performer.
How can they forget “the vow” such a beautiful movie
Love the Vow!
yes!!!!
Judy Blume signed my copy of Superfudge when I was in 4th grade and I’m taking my daughter ( also a 4th grader) to watch this film and have gifted her many Judy Blume books. I adore Judy Blume. She understands the mindset of youth which allows her to connect with kids. This also helps adults recover those memories and feelings.
Love her, she's so talented and gorgeous in any color hair. One of those actresses that chooses the right movies so you can pretty much watch anything she's in and enjoy it. Looking forward to taking my niece to see this.
I truly appreciate her honesty! Especially when she said "acting doesn't come easy for her". Much respect for her.
is it crazy of me to be astonished by how real she sounds when she talks about her profession? I hope the best for her, really want to see her in the big screen
I didn’t realize her two biggest films were the same year! What an entrance!
Love Rachel McAdams. As they said Brad Pitt is a character actor in a leading actor's body, so is Rachel McAdams. A great ensemble actress who looks great but can slip into varied characters. And relatable to boot.
Like Brad Pitt, they have the guts to play against their heartthrob looks. Family Stone and Lucky Ones and even some blonde roles like True Detective and Southpaw. He produced TTW oddly enough. He was originally in the Russell Crowe role in State of Play but dropped out because of script differences and it was during the writer's strike.
Charlize Theron also comes to mind.
I really loved her role in "Spotlight". She struck the perfect balance of journalistic impartiality and sympathy for the victims. It's very hard to pull that off without coming off detached or aloof.
"Disobedience" from 2017 - she should have nabbed a second Oscar nomination. She was devastating.
Always liked her but she grabbed my heart in The Family Stone, which is absolutely one of my favorite movies, especially when feeling depression setting in around Christmas time, or during a long, bleak winter. Love so many of these actors and they all do great here (Craig T. Nelson and Luke Wilson getting high is perfection!) but Rachel is what I think about most when I think of this movie - which is a huge tearjerker for me but the ending leaves me hopeful. The scene where Diane Keaton says to Rachel "That's you and me, kid" (or whatever the exact words are) just nails me every single time...
Family stone is a great movie.
So down to earth and refreshing to have seen her evolve through the years
Rachel McAdams is the girl/woman that has it all, beauty, brains and that special something. She is cute, pretty and beautiful all at the same time. One of my favorite actresses.
I always prayed for her to win an awards which she deserved!!!
I remember 1975 being 8 yrs old & reading that book.
One of her best films and performances is "Disobedience". Underrated!
She is so freakin talented. Love her! For many of us, she is part of our lives that grew up in the 90s 00s ❤
Shes one of my favourite. Her expressions are so real and yet completely endearing. Shes beautiful and a star but absolutely like the girl next door that u can relate to. Never seen an actress like her
about time!! I was born in 1967 and loved judy blume
Shes so beautiful. She is one of the very few women I have always thought was so naturally beautiful and that's never changed. My Gosh 😍
Good for her...for making her own path. She has made iconic movies and she also deserves to be a happy mother.
Brilliant actress and a great person. She played a central role in what is possibly the most iconic teen-highschool film of the XXIst century.
People lover her because of that but she went on to make other great movies.
She is talented, smart and impossibly beautiful.
I LOVED Rachel in Red Eye and The Family Stone! And I LOVE that she still loves McDonald's. Most actors when they GO HOLLYWOOD act like they're suddenly too good for it! 😊❤
Hardly.
Honestly, anyone is too good for McDonald’s.
Girl crush. She’s so genuine and beautiful and such a great actress.
I first knew her from 'The Hot Chick' working alongside Rob Schneider. I think that was her breakout role. But yeah, Mean Girls solidified it's place as an iconic coming-of-age movie. Love her from the start!
As far as I remember it she's hardly in it apart from several episodes. That movie fully belongs to Rob Schneider and Anna Faris.
@@shougokawada8491Chill! Wasn't snatching any movie to anyone lol. And what you mean she's hardly in it, she played a decent amount in the film and a pretty significant role in my opinion. Besides breakout role doesn't only apply to lead roles lmao! Being part of the cast and actually standing out and people started noticing her. That movie opened a lot of doors for her fyi. Watch some interviews of her so you'll know what i mean.
@@shougokawada8491 I can definitely say one thing: if not her, I would never remember this movie; moreover, I would hardly manage to watch it end-to-end. “The Hot Chick” for me is just Rachel, all the rest is totally overshadowed. 🤷🏻♂️
I love how naturally beautifully she trult is inside and out. Humble. Good for her ❤
I am really thrilled that this movie finally got made 🎉I read it June 1981 and I absolutely loved it
She seems so chill 🙂 great actress!
I never knew that she was a figure skater! She is one of my favorite actresses! She would be somebody who I would someday love to work with if and when the opportunity ever presents itself!
She's so classy and humble and still stunning and natural. Love Rachel ❤
She is a breath of fresh air in Hollyweird!
Looking forward to seeing this. Judy Blume is a national treasure 👍😊
Midnight in Paris and Spotlight - great work.
Love Rachel. Lost count on how many times I watched The Notebook. Great cast along side her too. A couple of years after the movie was released I was in NYC making a dash for the 42nd St shuttle. The doors slid closed and I made it to a seat. The train car had only one other passenger sitting diagonally across from me. Sitting there, impeccably dressed, looking radiant, was Joan Allen. It caught me off guard how luminous she was. A great energy.
Rachel McAdams is legendary, easily my favorite actress.
What a well balanced person she is. She is absolutely awesome in Are you there God which is a really heart-warming movie.
Rachel has an incredible smile
She is my favourite
One of my favorite books I read when I was a young girl. Can't wait to see the movie.❤
Love her. She is very down to earth and a great actress!
One of the sweetest interviews out there!
I Love her! She is super talented and delightful!!
I had a crush on this beauty in my teens, and I still do now in my 30s.
Aww I love Rachael she's funny and down to Earth. I love how she didn't let people criticize her and boo her off stage because she left before anyone could. 😅 Love it. I can't wait to see this movie. I can already tell she is going to be amazing in it.
Disobedience. 💙
Looking forward to seeing Margaret film.
Thank you CBS Sunday Morning for making a video dedicated to the life of this wonderful actress Rachel McAdams! She is so lovely and naturally gifted and doesn’t even know it. 😊🩵
She is amazing in Sherlock Holmes & I liked her in Family Stone and Red Eye 👁️ Notebook 📓❤
…and in “Time Traveller’s Wife”, in “About Time”; but her absolutely signature role for me is in “Disobedience”, where she’s acting at the unearthy level of “cinema goddesses” like Meryl Streep. I would definitely give her Oscar for that part.
@@drpemium333 Loved her in About Time. That was the movie that made me fall in love with her.
Absolutely love her movies!
One off my favorite actor ever so natural ,glowing ,a perfection ❤!!!
Oh my God how awesome! This book meant so so much to me growing up, it’s probably the only book I’ve read five or more times. ❤Can’t wait!
so talented, so pretty and so human!!!!
Loved her in “About Time” and “Morning Glory.”
Rachel is a magical actress! Love her, she gets a viewer inside the film and one forgets it is a make believe. It rearely happens to me.
She's a class act. Just perfect in everything. Will watch her in anything.
She’s so talented.
Is there anyone out there who can say one negative thing about her? I sure can't. She's kinda perfect in a non-cloying way. She needs an Oscar.
Rachel McAdams is such a fantastic actor. I love her in everything I've seen her in...even when her leading male counter part is not as talented as she (ie. "The Vow) She's great.
One of my favorite roles of Rachel's was the first season of Slings & Arrows. I encourage everyone to look for it if you haven't seen it.
How did they not mention About Time, only the best movie ever!
Loooove that movie
Rachel Mcadams is great actress

She is such an amazing actress probably one of the best out there ❤❤❤

Loved her in "Spotlight".
What I love about her she's a huge star but isn't in that toxic whirlwind of the media or Hollywood.
How is it possible that she is even more beautiful now? Love her!
LEGENDARY ACTRESS lOVE HER
She is gorgeous!
I adore her so much
I watch SPOTLIGHT a couple times a year and recommend it to Catholics everywhere.
I really enjoyed her interview
