Shawn Paul - I have standards and never write in all capital letters, but this deserves breaking my rule: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! YOUR VIDEO SAVED ME FROM HEADING TO THE CRAZY FARM!!!!!!
I think I got there or am getting there lol, I 2nd that comment, though going to have to I think do an Echo Plus factory reset, just need to find out how lol, this should be fun (got a number of devices that dont exist anymore and keep showing up for some annoying reason, a symptom of the problem of not doing one in years since getting it).
Thanks so much for this. I had a couple of bulbs that became unresponsive to Alexa, although they still worked OK in the Hue app. Following this process has sorted it. Cheers.
Months ago I followed this process and I was successful. Recently all of my Hue bulbs became unresponsive, so I removed them from the Alexa App and attempted to factory reset them exactly how I did before and how you described in your video. The problem now is that it attempts to reset the bulb, but the bulb never actually resets, never goes into the blinking mode, yet the app thinks it has reset and automatically moves to the device discovery mode. I have tried resetting 6 bulbs, rebooting my modem, router, and Alexa Show. Nothing has worked. I believe the Alexa Show or my app on my android phone are the culprit. Going to try to install the app on my iPad to see if I get different results. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. Thanks.
I’m having the same exact problem. Have you found any solutions yet? I tried looking everywhere and can’t find a way to fix it. Only explanation is that Phillips is no longer allowing Bluetooth connectivity to Alexa devices.
@@migo4698 Ive managed to reset my phillips hue bulb, thus, in the app on your phone or tablet pick devices, then reset device, bulb, it should give you a long list of bulb makes, pick phillips hue, it will then show you a page similar to the one shown on screen here, but mine had another bulbs number on it and wouldnt let me change the number.. But.. Under the number which is underlined it says OTHER tap this it will then put up a different page saying keeping the phone with the app within 15cm range of the bulb turn off the bulb for 10 seconds only when you turn it ack on press continue while keeping the app close to bulb the bulb flashed once or twice l cant recall properly but it did flash and l knew it would work it said it would take up to 45 seconds, but l knew it had already done it as l heard a blip but wait anyway it then said it had found it and l looked on bulbs it said bulb 9.. Which was how many i had now l renamed it which you can do easily. I hope this helps it had driven me nuts lol,. Meanwhile l had bought 5 sengled bulbs less than half the price of phillips and the echo show found them immediately and have been working well for weeks.
I was pulling my hair out with trying to reset the light and trying to do it through the Philips Hue app. This worked flawlessly. Thanks buddy!
Happy to help!
Oh my gosh!!! Thank you so much! After hours of not figuring out how to fix it, this video was a life saver!!!! Thanks again!!!!
Thanks for the shortcut to reset! I had to do each bulb twice, but it worked. Much obliged.
Seriously you're amazing, hope you're doing really well?
You'd have thought they'd have made that a lot easier to find wouldn't you?
