Workflow tips are so nice because they are usually simple to incorporate into your work. Creative tips are usually more subjective and take some practice and wiggling to fit in your style. But workflow tips help increase efficiency. Love these.
Some tips when you're working with multiple designs and art boards; hope they help! Coming up in the next 5 uploads you can expect a logo design project from start to finish, how to make it as a designer, and my very first logo design ever; as well as 2 undecided videos.
I really really love your simple and smooth color selection. Your content is so much organized and you provide great featured design tips. THANK YOU !!!
Another export tip: Specifically when using multiple Artboards, you can use File > Export > Export for Screens... to automatically have each Artboard set up for individual export. This saves you the time it takes to select and prepare each graphic through the standard export window.
Great tips! Thank you, recolour menu! Amazing haha so useful for me at the moment! one tip my lecturer told me was to go into the preferences and change the background to white, you can work outside the art board and it helps with creativity, you're not confined to a square or rectangle. You have been such a help Satori, thank you for your videos, learning so much from ya!
You don't *need* to group individual designs in order to get them into Asset Export; you can also select everything you want to export, and Alt-drag them into your Asset Export panel.
This is helpful, for instance, if you have a specific shape hierarchy that you don't want to mess with for exporting purposes, like when importing artwork into After Effects to further animate.
You should make a little challenge where a viewer or generator comes up with a company name and some details about it and you go through the process as best you can with what you get and make a logo or overall branding That would be so cool Also would be nice to see logo redesigns or fixes videos from viewer submissions Sorry for my weird wording I’m just typing as I think
4:26 - Instead of grouping elements for Asset Export, you can just select the elements you want to be included and hold down the Alt key when dragging it into the panel. This will give you the same result without having to group everything :) Hope this helps!
From my point of view, this was one of the best videos you’ve done!!! Really really cool!!! Thanks a lot for sharing, this is gonna be so useful for me in my everyday work!!!✌🏻👍🏻😎 best wishes 😀😎✌🏻
Dude, you've literally just regurgitated the Adobe Illustrator beginner tutorials on their website. I should know because i literally did them all yesterday! Gotta respect the hustle tho
I haven't taken much notice of those tutorials, and I don't just make Adobe content on this channel. It's kind of hard not to make a video on a similar topic, seeing as they have videos about every function of Illustrator I would imagine?
I worry about myself sometimes. The only one I didn't know was the most useful one, aka the 5th one. Oops. One tip I could add from myself is that you can open artboard settings through the properties and artboards windows and add in centre marks, crosshairs and video safe areas. Centre marks come in handy particularly often when you have smart guides enabled and want to centre an object, an anchor or anything really (at least in my workflow, I usually have my alignment changed to work basing on the selection, so it's easier that way than switching it on and off every time) Another one is that the distribute spacing options on the Align window work on Artboards too
Nope, it was from Freepik. I'm trying to find the link as I've lost it along the way. It isn't difficult to make, but as a video maker and designer I don't have the time to design everything
thank you! this help much. yet, i have one question. if you choose artboard tool, the artboard number will appear at the top left corner when you select it. usually, i copy artboard using alt+drag, but not copying from the last artboard i created. ex. I made one artboard, called A1. then i drag copy it, become A2. but suddeny, i want my A2 become my A3 and copy new artboard from A1. so now i have A1, A2, A3 in ordered line horizontally. but, according to artboard tool, they number are 1,3,2. is there any way to re arrange them into correct position? cause it have crucial impact if you save into pdf. dang! what a mess English. i hope u understand.
lol sorry but I do not fully understand. You can rename art board names while you have the art board selected. Also if you open the art board window in the drop down menu, you can click the top right corner and show options for more settings
@@SatoriGraphics it's ok. my bad. let me try it again. i beg you, please, read it carefully. i am curious so bad about this issue. say, i create a new artboard. if i select the artboard with artboard tool, it appears the name '01 - Artboard 1'. when i alt+drag that Artboard 1, it'll create new artboard next to it with the name: '02 - Artboard 1 copy 1' from now, let's rename our 2 artboards into 'page 1' (for Artboard 1) and 'page 2' (for Artboard 1 copy 1). continue, I do alt+drag copy again, and create a new '03 - Artboard 1 copy 2'. and i rename it to 'page 3' if, i save those artboard into .pdf, the page will automatically create a sequence of artboard 'page 1', 'page 2', 'page 3' unfortunately, i put my design in a wrong sequence. so the pdf page should be 'page 1', 'page 3', 'page 2'. how to swap that artboard arrangement in Adobe Illustrator? i looked around on artboard option, but nothing was found to solve that. the primitive way i found is, to select all my design in 'page 3' put it out,. drag the design in 'page 2' to 'page 3', then put the design outside the artboard into 'page 2'. please, i need a quick resolve for this problem.
You can rearrange the order in the artboard window. When you you save in pdf, it doesn't matter the name of the artboard or when it has been created; move the layers in the good order in the artboard window.
Satori Graphics In this case I'm not sure. You give tips for free and in a clear way, you didn't even say "best tips" in the title, so they can't claim the tips aren't good enough. So I really don't see why one would dislike But who knows...
Hi Satori, I am facing a problem with colors in illustrator. The colors I see on computer screen is different from when I export the art into JPEG. Ultimately I am not getting the desired colors I wanted. Can you help me.
I am so angry that I didn't know about the global HSB color edit. I've been complaining about Illy not having Photoshop-esque color edit abilities and was oven ripped off by astute for Phantasm... Next I'll find out there's a way to globally edit curves!
Illustrator still unable to change color on active page level like great macromedia freehand, in illustrator if you select or change colors in document its change or select in whole pages in document... what a non sense
