    Very helpful! These girls at work have made the matching steps so complicated.

    Hey, Thanks for the video. I was wondering how you approach recording receiving a loan amount. Do you have to create a long-term liability and then exclude the bank feed transaction or can you do both without a double entry?

    This is the best video that closely matches my world. Thank you. We have one person who does invoicing and receives payments and I do the bank feed., payroll entries, etc.. if I don't categorize every deposit or payment then how will it go into the correct account? If I toggle between Categorize and Find A Match, why would I accept the match if I have already seen how QB intends to categorize the transaction - which is incorrect. Where in the Match does the deposit or payment know to go into the right category if I don't correct it in the bank feed? Thank you.

    The bank feed list check numbers in the description/ memo field. How do I get them into the check number field?

    Hi, qb online miss some of the transaction I process, such as I received payment against an invoice, or make a payment. How to fix it. How I am going to match that entry when it is not shown in bank feed. I tried all the possible way, such as received payment with the mode of payment and make a payment with the cheque no or EFT transaction number etc.

      When you say it missed some transactions what do you mean? In the bank feed? Or did it not match the transaction you made in the bank feed?

      It did not appear in transaction that we need to match, mean I do not find that entry of what I paid or payment I receive. I tried down load transaction from the bank previously, It downloaded 4000 transaction. It was a mess.
      No I still missing some of the transaction I found in the bank statement but not found in qb online to match with my physical record of the invoices or bill. Thanks for the quick response.

      Are they entered in QB? If not then I would record them so you can match them

    How we can recognize which transactions need to find match or not?

    • @QbuniversityOrg
      @QbuniversityOrg  Рік тому +1

      It tried to match automatically. If it doesn’t you can choose Match and it brings up one’s you can match to

    Do I need to record payments to invoices, or does matching a deposit to the invoice inherently record a payment?

    • @QbuniversityOrg
      @QbuniversityOrg  2 роки тому

      Matching it to an invoice works but it’s a good practice to show them paid in QB then match the deposit to the bank feed. I say this because it’s easy to mess up the matching to an invoice, especially if the deposit is of multiple payments

      Enter the personal charges in QB too, but them to an Owmers Draw or Owners Distribution account.

    Hi. I am taking on Books and I want to make sure that Double Booking has not happened. Is there some Report (especially for Deposits) to show if something has been Double Booked or Not? If yes, please let me know the steps to Run the Report. Second, if the normal process is to do Bank Deposits from the direct bank transaction from the bank and then Split and apply to AR Clearing account for each Vendor and their Invoice but you found out that from 2019 to 2021 it was not done that way and was just put to Sales, do I need to fix that ? Thank you in advance.

    Hi, I have a question I can’t find an answer for, if buy stuff for business (A) from a business credit card belongs to business (A) let’s say ($1000) and stuff for business (B) from the same credit card that belongs to (A)($2000) and make the payments correctly from each business own checking accounts. How can I reconcile the Statement for only business (A) credit card statement? Since business (B) is a different company. let’s say as of may 1 to may 31 How can I show that the $2000 is not part of business A activity. ? Will not there always be some kind of an error ? Help please.

      You won’t be able to reconcile the card if there are 2 different QB files and charges are entered in each file. The only way to make it work is to record all the charges in one QB file and have the other company reimburse for the charges
