You sum it up so well. I am a sports bike rider. I love my Spit more than my Ninja. They ride better than they look. 145kg is the key to the magic. Im a Colchester based Spit and whenever I park up people talk. 7k miles of happiness so far. Thank you for your great content.
To be honest, I have never heard of this motorcycle, but with the enthusiasm with which you present the motorcycle, .... hearing your feelings for it, I really enjoyed watching. Well done! Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful evening!
Tomboy I have LOVED CCM bikes for years but even though I tried, they are not available here in the USA. 😖 Thank you Lady for torturing me with this fantastic video about something I can't have! I find them simple and perfect for a second motorcycle. They are gorgeous! A 600cc Single cylinder is a beautiful thumper. Great video and channel Deimante!! Ride SAFE and BE safe Lady! 👍👍
You can get one here in the US. Its gonna cost you tho, Gotta fly out to england go to the factory order one then arrange to ship it back here. It adds about 3 or 4 grand to the price.
Very good, you make people who are not interested in bikes, getting interested😂❤. Something we men cannot. You spoke about bad ass…pfff it is not polite to talk like this to a lady… but the photo you posted, talking about bad ass…what a view. More than perfect and I am not easy satisfied 😅
I completely understand your appreciation of the single cylinder 'Blip' acceleration, Torque at your finger tips & the combining Sound of Engine & Exhaust note. I'd be intrigued of your experience of riding an old British Single Cylinder machine. Perhaps a BSA B44. ? I think you might enjoy. Thanks for this review. : )
Another middle-lightweight single. Seems to be good and looks good too (prefer the look of wire wheels for theses kind of bikes though). Very nice back drop of boats at the lock.
Good review, coincidentally I test rode the Maverick yesterday and loved it, same niggles, preferred the more (light) off road bias, enjoyed the motor, not as good as my XSR CP2 on my XTribute but had great character 😎 IF only it had the KTM/Husky 690 motor 😈
Well, Tomboy, This was another great review from you and I love how you break it down into different categories such as brakes, suspension and comfort etc. It looks like a great bike and I love the sound of the single cylinder engine. In fact there's no better sound for a motorcycle in my opinion also the scream of a high powered multi cylinder Japanese four of a thoroughbred Italian is music to my ears. I am not keen on the suicide stand on the CCM, though, because the slightest nudge will see the stand flip up and the bike go crashing to the ground and that would be heartbreaking. I also thought the front brake reservoir looked a bit precarious and seemed to be vibrating quite a lot so would prefer something more sturdy but if I didn't have the Himalayan I would certainly put the CCM on my wish list.
Deimante! Don't show the world Heybridge Basin , they'll all want to go there. A hidden gem. Not my kind of bike although an excellent review as always.
Nice job as usual D. I had one of those @#$% stands on a Ducati Monster.Hated it. The problem is, if you have had many many bikes before that one you will get forget sooner or later. Because of your extended time testing the FTR I would like to see you test that Morini 1200 to compare. Any chance or interest in that?
I disagree, i loved my flat tracker and still own a six... around london its pure joy. sounds amazing. Wish they would make a twin it will make a more relaxing ride...its not all about the resale imo. Enjoy life...
Hi Deimante, i am afraid you have to edit the torque figure! It is 55 Nm at 5,500 rpm instead of the 30 ish you typed in the edit… Otherwise you nailed it to describe how I experience big thumpers… from my 1960 BSA DBD34 GS, till my 2021 Vitpilen 701, i feel exactly the same as you described , a big grin from ear to ear and a lovely feel in the belly every time you pull the throttle, well done!
Unfortunately due to the high price on these and the residual loss they will never be a big sell or a main stream bike, only for those who have deep pockets
I hate the suicide kickstand ! I'm left handed, and mount from the right. My current bike has the automatic stand, and I've had to change a lifetime of riding methods. I now have to get on and off from the left, and it feels awkward...and Iook awkward doing it. But I do like that CCM.
It’s only available in the UK because of homologation…no ABS etc…too costly to pass which is why in the Uk they are all limited edition in small numbers as that bypasses the rules.
Ive only just learned that youtube plays videos in default 360 and i can change it to higher quality, And im not sure what you mean, What if i want to feel like a princess too
They used to use the Husqvarna Te 610 lump in their bikes, is it the same lump I wonder. Had the Husky Enduro TE 610 with dirt wheels and super moto road wheels was bonkers bike and awesome power to weight ratio with no EU emissions bollocks back then.
Yo tomboy, 241 years is a very long time to hold a grudge. Only reason I can think of that this Beautiful Motorsickle is not offered in the USA. I purchased my 30th (59 yrs riding) Motorsickle in November 2023. CCM was on my list but unavailable in the US. ✌️😘❤️😎🇺🇸

@@Jasonkenny- Yeah I didn't like to say it but true. And why I wouldn't own one tbf. But that red is a nice colour. They were however good trials bikes in my youth.

It is the best compliment I could get as a reviewer! When bike’s owner says it is spot on!
I live in Colchester too. Maybe saw your Spit at Bentley 🤔
It has a spitfire paint job. Its blue.

It looks so good. Like the red tank, the lightweight gold wheels, the tubular frame, great package, really nice bike
Good to see Brightlingsea on you tube
I’ve got a 2018 spitfire scrambler. It’s a perfect 2nd bike, and I love it to bits ❤.
Me too, no. 123, I love it, the best variant imho.

I fell in love with both the heritage and the maverick at motorcycle live. Just gorgeous bikes

You had me at 145kg😉 Good to see not everyone is content with lardy-arse bikes.
It's actually CCM's design philosophy from back in the 70's when modding BSA's: "Light is Right".
"The vibration in the seat makes me instantly happy." Say no more.
Couldn't agree 👍 more I have a CCM foggy flat tracker great 3rd bike happy days keep up the good work😊
Great video! Thanks for sharing this one on the CCM. Ride safe

Super review. You really love that bike!
Great review as usual. The slow riding is very important,,..for young and old ,,I think this is a test you might consider doing on all reviews.
