Because Oxfords are made of cloth that can tear, stain and fray. They are not stainless steel stunners.

As soon as you mentioned Oxford’s, I hoped that you’d mention Uniqlo. Totally agree with you. I used to know a Uniqlo factory owner and what’s reassuring is that Uniqlo are also an ethical and sustainable manufacturer, who care for their factory staff; a rarity in the mass produced fashion world.
Jake Brown Ha! I was thinking the same. I used to be exclusively Brooks Brothers for casual shirts but switched to UNIQLO once they opened a shop in Sydney where I live. Never looked back.

why should I care for anything but quality and price ratio?
Sounds like a marketing bullshit of luxury (or less competitive) brands who try to justify their greedy price policy. Very similar to "swiss made" concept.

Great stuff a few points of contention.
1. Oxfords are not intended to be hung out, but to each his own. Uniqlo has great quality for a very affordable price point. Definitely a place for essentials.
2. Because Jay Butler is advertised by UA-cam so frequently I would never buy the shoe. Why not at a $200 price point get the real thing. That’s like getting sneaker chukkas. But again, I never buy shoes from Thursday, acemarks, or anything related to UA-cam. I appreciate you being honest and stating upfront you just like the company.

The Uniglo Oxford is a sound recommendation.
What a wonderful video. Please continue the series with other items such as sunglasses, belts, money clips and wallets, knives, and such other items. I resonate with your choice of Uniqlo but I myself own mostly Brooks Brothers and I have been quite impressed with various American Eagle clothes.
Big fan of Crowned Heads and what they're doing, and the fact that Jon Huber hit you up is pretty damn cool. good stuff

I had noticed in one of your newer videos that you had a cigar, and was wondering if you had picked that up. My friend got me into cigars about 3 years ago and I love it. I'm a total noob as well, but I'm getting to the point where I can refine my tastes and at least tell a cigar shopkeeper what brands I like and see which ones they recommend.
I absolutely LOVED the fact, that you were showing that small piece of BOSTON LEGAL. Allan Shore with the cigar in his hand - so great!
You are quickly becoming one of my fav YT channels. You are more than watches (love horology). Thanks for the heads up on the Uniqlo as they look good untucked (works with my concealed carry). I have adopted the loafer with no socks look and love it - will check out those shoes ASAP. And that you are unafraid to smoke cigars in today’s PC world does earn my respect. I’m subscribed to Ralph Lauren’s mailing list so I always buy all my oxfords for around 30-40 dollars
I love the Oxford Shirt too but it's too hot for our climate here in Hong Kong - only in the cooler months from Dec to Mar, so it's use is limited. I feel hot even before wearing it!

Nice segment. That Day-date would look fine with a quality white tee-shirt, or no-shirt too! I did notice the gold necklace and enhancer which also adds to a well-considered look.

Just a heads up, as big fan of the regent fit Brooks Oxfords but not as big a fan of the price, they can usually be gotten at Nordstrom Rack for around $50. Still not the uniqlo price but still much better value

Hello, have you try Land’s End shirts. They are a great alternative to other, more expensive brands. They come in different fits, styles, colors, etc and they are very well made. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.
I’d like to add small leather goods like a wallet or pocket organiser, and a bracelet or bangle to this list ! Even a nice writing instrument if you’re a professional . Even good eyewear can be added to the list !
They’re far less “in your face” than rings, and though there’s nothing wrong with rings, it just requires a certain type of gentleman to carry off rings.. I’m sadly not one of them yet!
A plain band to match my bracelet or bangle is as far as I’ll go..

How are their sizes compared to brands like Ralph Lauren or Eton? I'm not sure whether to pick size S or M and returning them seems to be a hassle here in Sweden. I guess it's not that big of a deal if they don't fit as they are so cheap, but I'd very much appreciate some help if anyone reads this.

Those oxfords is equal to Zara oxfords I think, atleast in Europe.
Zara's quality is horrible. At that price point, Uniqlo is unmatched.

Compare a Zara oxford to a Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren in terms of feel. Zara feels really hard
Zara stuff looks great sometimes but the quality is appalling. It’s pretty much disposable clothings yet costs the same as Gap or uniqlo which is better quality and looks fine

Another shoe i would strongly recommend is Geox. They are like wearing just socks all day long. A little bit of breaking in, and they fit as nicely as Tod’s. For cigars...look no further than an RnJ Churchill. Thats a good hour and a half smoke for you.

Brooks brother is my go to brand. Its a sleeper brand that a lot of people don’t know about. I own lacost shirt, and they are shit compare to brooks brother.
