Your rant on rim authenticity was so on point haha!
Agreed!
I was brought to your channel by the car meets in Japan.. and now youre building my favourite car. Clean very clean.
i hope that the new brakes fits perfectly with the new wheels on and without the spacer. it looks very nice with those overfenders on.
Hey if you're not to worried about an engine teardown, you can get the 280zx turbo cam and exhaust manifold and bolt on a nice turbo to make near 300hp
yeah.... i know but i dont wanna go turbo.... i wanna keep it na
awesome wheel choices. I had RS05RR's on my old Evo, telling you now that cleaning those will not be fun lol
Shoutout to the Lakey Inspired - ‘Overjoyed’ instrumental in the background. Nice touch!
Mostly 14's. 15's are uncommon on the cars back in the day. Even today, proper retro builds (as in, generally in Japan where they do things right) still generally stick with 14's.
I thought I'd hate the 17's to be honest, but I actually still like it. I'm the guy that hated the tail light swap by the way 😂 I don't mind so much about the cutting, as flare look great on these. I just didn't like the cutting for those tail light when I thought the others looked way better.
You dog is so freaking cute by the way
My build is very similar on my 75 280z! I too went with Rota RKR, the quality is much better than I thought. Love the channel, looking forward to the progress.

I hate going into auto parts stores to get parts for my Datsun 510. My car has so many parts from so many different cars that trying to explain what I need is a pain. Most of those shops have minimally trained people who know how to look parts up for specific vehicles and have a manual of some kind that tells them how to fit those parts. Few of them have knowledgable people that know cars and know how to modify them. I'm also going through the pains of trying to find the right wheel size and offset to fit my needs. I might have to hit you up for some Enkei 92's if I think I can fit them correctly.
Haha can't agree more. When I go to the store and they ask me what year my rx7 is, in just like...... Where do I even begin.. 😂😂 and sure man. Just hit me up if u need any parts. I'll hook u up
Really like the rim choice for the FD can’t wait to see that as well 🔥🤙🏽
Enkei is awesome! Enkei Compes are a good choice for the old Zs.
Nice video! I'm using Bassett wheels on my 260z-JZ.
15X10 with Nitto 275/60r15 drag radial in the back and 15x8 Bassett in the front with Nitto 205. Both are 4.5" backspace and I need fender flares as well.
on stock suspension ?
Loving this build series.
you can fit 245's in the back without cutting if you move the spring mount up or go coilovers.. with the right offset..
or with an 11 inch wheel
well, im obviously doing it for the looks. not for functionality. lol
Man I love your Cafe Racer so damn much
Hee, we seem to have very similar taste in rims. :) Also, that's a cute doggie. :)
bro love the channel keep it up XD
thanks man!
Good stuff man! I have 265's on my 350z. Used to have 275's that the previous owner ran, but I got a good deal on new Continental Extreme Contact Sport 265's :)
It was interesting hearing your comments on the "best for bang" cars. What do you think about electric cars?
i like them. obviously cuz i worked for formula E. lol. but i would never own one as a performance vehicle
@@CZeroMedia is it because they're harder to hack/work on compared to older cars?
Damn they look nice
When you put those wide tires on the front you're gonna wish you had power steering
i thought of the same thing but ive been driving around with adjustable tension rods and control arms and its not a problem at all. video updates to come in the future
now we are getting somewhere
Awesome are you gonna paint the devil z blue too?
Great video 👍🏽. Love ❤️ this story I'm a Z man myself. This is great information. A+
Nice Nice Nice!!
velocity stacks, fuel rail, injectors for power? cams? or RB26 :)
Most likely a swap of some kind, he had motor swap on his list of modifications in a previous video. Based on the fact he has an lsFD I wouldn't put it past him to switch makes on the swap.
Watanabe's are magnesium a very dangerous / light weight / if they catch on fire they dont go out , just like a trick Bithday Candle.
Nobody needs Watanabe wheel for street.
Great work as ussual !
1:17-1:28 exactly!!!!!! I couldnt have said it better myself
What engine swap/mod are you planning on? RB25/26? O.S. Giken crossflow head? It makes me miss all of the S30's I've owned.
16s are the easiest to find.. biggest plus is they have the most variety in sizes
Looks amazing
I remember taking my 95 civic coupe to firestone to get new tires installed they tried to charge me for tpms and i was like WHY
i bought the same rims last fall and got the same size tires. the only problem i had with them was that the center caps came damaged. the little tabs that hold the cap in place to the rim were mostly broken off. did your caps come damaged?
mine didnt come with caps :/
@@CZeroMedia that's lame. I got mine off ebay.
yup those old rims are finally going away.
those Rota looks like RS Wats
thankfully no damage to the rims because of the wrong fitment of the tires
well said "you have one job"
good call getting 17 inches because my initial concern was the brake kits esp in the rear may not clear when you go 15 inches
16 inches is kinda an odd size and i feel that pain.
My 04 Subaru Forester had 16 inches stock rims and has clearance issues and hard to find the right tire size
Had to switch out to the WRX rims in order to fit the WRX brake calipers
I wonder if you could fit a 245 on an 8.5 inch rim on the back without a flair and with standard spring width?
Some Thicc tires 👍🏽
JDM=😍🤩
damn bro these videos are great, you have a new subscriber!
Hey CZeroMedia what are your thoughts on Konigs replica version of the Watanabe rims?
Looking good!
how much space do you have between the tire and the spring on the strut tower ? .5" ??
Love it
I'd gladly take your old wheel/spacer set up off of you. The 280 that I bought came with some weird rims that the previous owner put on and the tires are dry rotted so I don't want to replace tires on rims that I don't like!
hi can you give me the link where did you buy those rims?
Stock suspension ? Car been lowered at all in this video ?
Where can I get this set of rims, please help. Been looking everywhere.
How do you bring wheels back as carry on luggage xD? I'm Curious
oversize luggage baby. ive done it before lol
Where I get those wheels in that color
Where did you get your rims from?
the wider, the better
also, somethings wrong with the notifications. i dont get them
:( do you have the notification bell hit up?
i always have
@@CZeroMedia
thats weird ..................
One of my Z’s has the Jim cool racing body kit on it from the 70’s/80’s/90’s. It has 225 in the front and 245 in the rear and it still isn’t even flush with the fenders. Check it out on my channel.
#CZEROFUQSGIVEN
Yo
Bah!! Just put 225s on front and rear, and don't chop those quarter panels up.
Where japan r u from?
Cool subbed. :) ;)
Don't do over fenders. It's these sad to see a old car that made it that long get cut up do to a new trend.
A new trend 😅 They were sold like that in the 70's straight of Nissan factory!
@@lea2666 REALLY?!
Are you sure about that? Or is it something people did to there cars back in the 70s?
Harley Davidsons don't come stock with loud toolbag pipes. They are installed by every owner kid
@@MattMatt77 Yes man, you can look up "fairlady 240z ZG", came with fender flairs and the "g nose" as stock.
@@lea2666 🤦♂️
That's not a US model car. Fender flares from factory like a hellcat is better done by factory then so guy in his garage with glue.
What goes back to my original comment if it's survived that long without some loser cutting it up it should be left alone. But you're thinking it's okay to cut up the car because some random model in Japan came with that feature SMH
@@MattMatt77 What does that had to do with anything? It still Nissan designed and produced, as all S30 platforms are. And you can't compare a 50 year old car with an hellcat, that's Apples to oranges.

i really wanna built my own jdm car but i just dont know annything about the mechanical part and i dont wanna spend to much pls help or comment a tip tyy
Gilles do research kid
Thats what im talking about.. This car wanna come out very sexy 😍
P.s Whatever happened to the rotary FD.. Did you sell it? I missed it?
rotard fd was sold for profit. too much of a pita to work on. it wouldve been a huge money pit
@@CZeroMedia yeah man.. It seemed like.. By the time it had issues in starting.. Electrics seemed a little bit messed too.. Anyway i would like to see a restoration by Czerofucks workshop ✌😁
well, time for rocket bunny..
Diville Moss fuck no
75$ TO MOUNT AND BALANCE?!?! NOT BAD?!?!?! in Canada (hell) it's ATLEAST 100$ to mount and another 80$ PLUS TAXES for balance...those are 'cheap' tire shop prices btw.. Don't even get me started about beer, tobacco, gas, food, insurance, clothes, rent, phone bills, etc etc etc
Well I'm from Tokyo so I can relate. Lol
Oh ya Tokyo is expensive you know what I'm talking about then lol.. Everytime I visit family in the states I lose my mind over how cheap everything is!! A 2L bottle of vodka is like 20$, WTF?! I love the access to auto parts there too
DONT CUT THE FENDERS
I love this z - I just can't agree with any of this wheel - fender bending - you are wrecking this car. Go buy a Miata and smash it up. Let this be what it is. Looks terrible.
Ew Rotas
sorry, bro, you lost my respect with this ROTA.
What's wrong with Rota?
@@proxlamuz4591 fake and weak and will break whenever you do anything.
@@SAM46323 do you have personal experience ? What makes them "fake".
If you think they will break easily, you need to consider they are cast wheels. Not forged and not a monoblock. Rota over the years has improved their quality quite a bit. They are as strong as cast wheels can be.
On the other hand, keep in mind Watanabe wheels are also "fake" if you consider a design knock off as fake. In addition they crack just as easily as any Rota
