They wanted to get rid of the skilled player. People like that purposely hunt down people better than themselves and wack them with the ban hammer.
The cool thing is... the admin is totally going to see this video and possibly this comment too. That thought, kinda makes me happy about the admin’s power trip-idiotic death, since it was all caught on video.

What's funny is that The Dry Reef has a rule that says the 3 bites rule doesn't apply in death circle (which you were 100% in) so that admin just had it out for you

If you were to submit a ticket, you’d 100% get your Acro back. It’s rather funny, because if you look earlier in the video, one of the admins in global says you’re allowed to tailride with a broken leg. So, your death was at the hands of the admin who called you out. You did nothing wrong. 👍🏼

Funny thing is, according to The Dry Reef's own rules, death circling is NOT tailriding. Actually, per their own rules, the Rex was rulebraking, since you had the leg break and not the rex. He should have been the one to peel off after 3 bites.

I remember learning the game and the server rules at the same time. It was quite difficult, i couln't even tell the difference between AI and a player :) It's better to teach these players instead of punishing them. Especially in game with such unstable population.

Legit, I remember I was brand new to a server and got 3 strikes and banned in my first few days playing because I kept breaking different minor rules, never the same one twice but there were so many rules that it was hard to figure out. Not to mention after my first strike the admins seemed to hate me and nitpick. The game is barely alive, no reason to drive away players

It’s hard to express how much of a respectable player you are! Definitely one of the best if not the best isle player out there. It sucks that admins ruin the game, ik sm other youtubers that complain abt them.

What you did for the stegosaurus was super honorable.
There was definitely a lot of foul play on the admins' part. The one that got you killed outright disobeyed the server's own rules in order to punish you. However, your sheer amount of composure and respect towards the other players in the game and the entirely undeserving admins gives you my highest commendations. I've stuck around this channel for a while because of that very reason, and continue to be impressed.

More than a bit. I get that he was just making content, but anyone with power just ruining anyone's hours of growth and domination doesn't deserve to have that power.
Personally, I don't view a lot of admins in various games and servers similar to this one in a positive light. They are often times either too aggressive in their attempts to moderate the server or too lax in their ability to punish players. I think that a lot of admins think their better than other players just because they are admins and they try to flex that power. Though I've never been confrontational with an admin before, I'm sure the day will come eventually due to me playing on semi-realism servers most of the time. Though with all the limitations I've come across when joining a server, never have I ever heard one as odd as limiting your ability to defend yourself by only using three bites at a given time.
How should an admin act then? Not just for the Isle but in general? To not be aggressive but not laxed? (Please don't take it as negativity or as a jab, just someone wanting to improve lol)
I only have seen that with Full realism servers and those would be Bite _attempts_ do either if they hit or don't they count. And this is to help balance things from like utahs being able to kill a rex, etc.
But never a semi-realism server. Seems quite odd
@@lordshennington2756 Well personally, I think admins should act on cases they witness even without input from other players, and it should always be after the fact. For example, say you play on a server that encourages people to record interactions with other players in order to fill out tickets to identify they have been rule broken on. If an admin has witnessed said event from start to finish, there should be no need for a ticket to be made. They should take action then and there, if a ticket is submitted then the choices can be either changed or kept the same.
Admins have the power to regrow in most cases so, if someone was witnessed to a rule break and lost their creature because of it, the admins or owners can easily grant them a new creature.

To each their own when it comes to how to moderate a server, however, I'd simply let the situation play out then speak with the individuals on what went wrong and how to improve in the future. Simple as that.

I laughed harder than I probably should have when that rex at the end mindlessly killed that dilo admin after trying to save them.
Apparently, according to multiple people, the Rex was the only one rule-breaking so that is likely why they killed the admin and him then ran away so that he didn't have to confront anything and possibly be punished.

Always love seeing a new video from you. Sounds like the admins on Dry Reef got their heads up their asses though, stalking you while you play like that. It was blatantly apparent that the fight between you and the rex was going to go blow for blow without the 3-bite limit. The rex wasn't stopping, and neither could you. Did they just expect you to tank the loss, waste your time with a report and wait however long it took them to review it? Yikes. Good video, though- in spite of the bad actors. ♥

I think the 3 bite rule is rubbish anyway, like what’s the point? That’s why I play on either Asura or Teutonic.
No wonder there's so many rexes on that server. If the 'Three Bite' rule applies even with leg-break, rexes get every opportunity to win any fight they're in. Ridiculous!

I can understand the 3 bites rule to prevent assrides but in that situation I'd make an exception since if 1 rex bb is enough to essentially cripple you to death then what else are you supposed to do? gives rex even more power with its monopoly of the bb status

@@jukelox I don't think that it was a case of them not knowing the rules. If I remember correctly it was the one admin who was stalking/harassing him the entire time so I'm pretty sure that it was actually the case of they wanted to get a reason to ban him from the server since they kept threatening to ban him before, but couldn't do it beforehand since he didn't do anything wrong at all which could result in them getting in trouble with the rest of the admin team.

Acro is so underated. My favourite Dino to play in this game. If it wasnt for the heal rate.
Fully agree with you there. Wish private servers had the ability to make tweaks to settings like heal rate, bleed drop off, etc.
Healing an Acro from the brink of death is often times worse than just losing the Acro.
It's been that way for years and years. Acro heal rate was always super low. I think something like 50 HP per tick and that's if you were full food and water. There was a time when you could change these things with the dev kit for the Isle, but once that was removed long ago the odd balance in stats remained up to the devs.

I remember having issues with admins power tripping me as well on this server. One time tried to tell me he could read our group messages lol. You were playing fair the whole time, and I've been on DRs server before. Being leg-broken is an exception there if I recall, so obviously that admin didn't know the rules of their own server x)

Been watching TGB for years now. Never really checked anyone else but a few baited clicks on Anthomnia's vids out of curiosity. You, good sir Owl, have my full attention now. Not talking trash on both previous names but I was entertained and learned much much more by watching and listening to you playing. Never played The Isle but I really want to now. Thank you so much!
Anthomnia is has a horrible rep among the community so shit talk him all you want, but TGB is basically the king of dinosaur games on UA-cam so you’d probably get ganged up on if you shittalked him in front of the Dino community

But worse, a lot of his fans are children whom he actively lies to and scams on Patreon and such by promising content he will never deliver (and he knows it). Add in that his servers are often run by scummy people that also eagerly exploit people (again, a lot of the victims are children), act creepy towards women, or just outright solicit minors.
He's a morally and ethically bankrupt scumbag, essentially.

There’s now a rule in Dry Reef that says you can only hunt other players if you can skin them…so couple that with the 3-bite rule, your only hope is to hunt AI and call it a day

So refreshing to see simple "kindness' to fellow players!!! Unfortunately it's seemingly becoming more and more rare... Unless you're about to drop dead from starvation or the weaker opponent is "spotting", what's the point of killing a younger dino player that has no possible chance of defending themselves successfully and thereby pushing another player out of the game? We need MORE adult dino players or this game gets really boring pretty quickly. KUDOS OwLTime!!! WELL PLAYED!!!

Hi Owl, always great to see how sportsmanlike you are but I have to say I've completely stopped playing this game because of the community and admins. Most of the people I've met in this game are unbearably toxic and shitty. The amount of threats and verbal abuse that get thrown around in global chat for the sake of protecting these ass backwards rules is insane I'm convinced there is a portion of the population of players in this game who only play in order to record and report others, they do it so casually and aggressively that it seems like the game for them isn't hunting dinosaurs but instead hunting for a reason to report someone. For example, I had a fight and killed a dino and so I was waiting for the body to despawn. A short while later a group of aggressive looking dinos comes by and me reasonably not wanting to get ganked by people who may or may not RB me stand up and move a bit away and talk to them. Instead of simply asking me what was going on or if the body was mine or what I was doing their first response was to start berating me in chat and threaten to report me for moving from my body. Then they proceeded to surround me when I came back for my body and waited a bit away in the jungle only to instantly rush me the second I stood up to move away from the body when it despawned. It is difficult to express how beyond aggravating a game like this is to play when I have to play according to rules that can be used in a loop hole manner and so I stopped, not because I dislike the game but because I despise the community. What a shame, love your videos though keep it up!
I don't know if you are interested in suggestions but the server Crimson isle has pretty good rules, most admins are very chill and to be fair it could use exposure too. If you would be interested check it out :D I wouldn't mind nesting you in as non survival dinos too along with quite a few other people on the server
wth... so they deactivate alt-turn on their server, but because then all the apex players cry about getting assridden they have to make a 3 bite rule... thats some grade A nonsense right there. And that shit even applies with broken bones? Thats absolutely nuts. You are literally just forced to roll over and die if you get your bones broken and still want to follow their rules -.-

I have two amazing stories as Acro.
The second was a Acro I had on a popular No-Rules servers for a few months. I was one hit away from 1v1 winning a fight with a toxic spino player. A giga took advantage of the situation, bit once and it died. We ended laughing about it later on.
But when I was a big noob. Took a Acro egg. Mom put only a tiny bit of food in the nest after nesting four of us. Then she left us and logged without a word.
Many my siblings considered us dead, being newborns with no food. I rallied us together to fight a ava. It... was hell. No other ai would spawn. We nearly starved to death but by a miracle the Ava broke and stood still, we killed it and somehow all made it to adulthood.
During that struggle, four sub rexes tried hunting us.
I... 1v4'd them because my siblings were the worst at surrounding awareness. I didn't know better. I barely understood the Isle. I just fought the best I could and accidentally killed two at the same time on top of one another. Meaning both bodies were mine. The other two ran, a third died. The fourth cOuLd HaVe claimed that body but.... just kept running. By then my siblings FINALLY came over wondering what the racket was. Those three bodies is what fed us nearly to full adulthood.
I might have been one of your acro siblings. I remember being nested as acro and abandoned and then sub rexes attacking lol

Admins have definitely taken the game and their rules way too seriously. I stopped playing the isle (legacy) because of that.

I know that server I play on it all the time. The tailriding rule does not take effect whilst you have a broken leg. The admin should NOT have interfered in the first place. You can bite more than 3 times with a broken leg.

Acrocanthosaurus is such an underrated dinosaur, it’s super fun to play as a speedy apex like dinosaur hunting mid tiers and even apexes 🔥
As much as I would rant on about the admin related things that happened, I could care less about it compared to the rest of the video. Overall it was great, and honestly I've enjoyed having your content simply as background noise, something to watch while eating, or simply something to keep my brain deeply distracted with. The miniature stories are a joy to focus on, it feels like I'm watching a documentary! I've never really had any dislikes of your content. Some of the videos you make on games like Day of Dragons or Beasts of Bermuda give me a glimpse into what I may be looking forward to as games I'd like to play, so I thank you for that.

Yeah, had a disagreement as former staff of a realism server with another staff member. Seemed like power went to their heads which made me not want to continue working with them.
They got way into micromanagement to points that never affected gameplay. You can't imagine your raptors with feathers. Scars are unrealistic.
That one made me both shake my head and laugh. It's sad though. Used to be a great place.

Some of those admins take that stuff WAY too seriously. At the same time, there are some that I’ve had interactions with who were really great to be around. Obviously everyone is different. I think sometimes having that power over people gets into their heads
Every Community/RP server on any game ever made has a select few people in power who either just abuse it or are biased and toxic. From The Isle, GTA, Arma, Ark, Battlefield, ect. ect. there is always atleast one person on the admin team who is only there because they happen to be friends with one of the server management and are just completely inept at their job.

If you are new I would personally recommend getting used to evrima combat and not spending too much time getting good at legacy, cause that will, at some point, get shut down entirely

Some of the admins on the servers have the ego higher than of Jake Paul thinking they can do anything during anything and ban you for even the smallest of things.

regarding some of the admin stuff, I did admin for a isle server just like the dry reef. I can see how it may look when a admin trying to give out punishments to new players or banning them for breaking the rules, but understand that we do it so they may enter a discord so they may understand and read the rules and since they are new its most likely they wont receive a punishment. Now i cant speak for all admins on the isle but im sure all try there best.
I also know the TDR’s rules as i play there time to time, and regarding that last rex fight you were not in the wrong you should of been able to tailride the rex coz your leg was broken, although it does depend if the rule was in action at the time of recoding.
And I do agree admins should let the fight play out before interfering.
But despite all that the videos are really entertaining keep them up^^

Man, whenever I reinstall the Isle, I always die within an hour of spawning. Watching you play makes me want to try again, but I know I'll just die in no time again. Have you thought about doing a tutorial video or like a tips and tricks for The Isle? You're the best player I've seen, so it might bring in a fresh influx of players.
