The Isle is intended to be a gritty, open-world survival horror game. Explore vast landscapes of dense forest and open plains, traverse treacherous mountains and wade through dark swamps where horrors lurk. here are some other tips,
if a dino isn't on your diet, like deinosuchus and stegosaurus, you can harvest its organs to get the nutrition out of that (get organs by biting the body until you see it deteriorate), it also works with dinos in your diet aswell.
Intestines give you lipids, or the 2 hotdogs diet
Lungs(there are 2) give you carbohydrates, or the 3 dots
heart gives you protein, or the S diet
and stomach gives you whatever nutrient the dino you killed last ate
Combinations can vary stat buffs,
carbs(3 dot) usually helps with stamina decay/ stamina regen
Lipids(hotdogs) usually help with night vision/ scent increase
and protein(S) usually helps with Health regen/ locked health regen(when you take a lot of damage your health gets locked at a certan % for a while)
A tip for carno aswell, don't charge to run away, it does not give a speed buff anymore, it just wastes stam, and when hunting, try charging last second because charging really limits your agility and movement

Are you sure about the charge? I did some testing and it seems that it does give you a little speed boost.
@@MIApor possibly, but to my naked eye it's just not worth it, that slight speed boost will bite you in the ass in the long run

It just had to end on a speed hacking deino. There’s a big problem with those on the officials. Exciting gameplay though!
Always report cheaters, in every game. Cheaters PLAGUE survival pvp games...
There may not be a report player button in game, but if you tag an admin in the official discord, they should be able to pull up logs to see who killed you.
As long as you provide video capture evidence.

Glorious story! Loved the "gentleman's fight". Tenontosaurus always struck me as a vert ornery creature, surely because of how The Isle: Evrima has built them, and how the play into the current "ecosystem"/meta.

@@Thatonedude12TI play mainly Carno and Deino but even then I mostly only eat my own kind if I have too, and I usually try to eat babies because it sucks to be an adult and die to a cannibal also it is usually too much risk
I played for the first time without knowing anything yesterday, and amazingly thrived as a Petra. After being fully grown and thriving beside a fish-filled waterfall all to myself, the moment I decided to "grab one more fish and log up on the perch up there", I made one small mistake and didn't have enough energy to get over a tiny bump on the cliff and plummeted to my death in a screeching crumbling mess. It was hilarious!
I read this comment with the same accent, tone and spirit of Owltime 😂 I’m not an Isle player but want to get into these kinds of games and started playing PoT a while ago but stopped given its state (it has ome along way since as I’ve seen). Hilarious comment tho and thank ya for sharing! It represents what you’re getting into if you play this game lol! Still would play!

It can be horrifying to the point you'd rather starve in a bush than go looking for a meal in the dark of night. Refusing to go for a drink despite being drenched, just for the fear of a giant crocodile lunging out of the water to drag you under.
It can be extremely relaxing once you've found a safe, quiet area to live in and thrive.
It can be very lonely at times. You might avoid others for fear of death or because of food being extremely scarce.
It can be very social and fun too. You might find some great people to travel with, to hunt with, to chat with.
It can be so difficult to find food. You may starve to death on several occasions. It can be difficult to get a drink out of the croc infested waters.
You may thrive too, at times. Food can be plenty and you may find a pool of water that's completely empty of crocodiles.
One moment you might be completely off-guard, only to get a sudden burst of adrenaline as a fight for life breaks out, and with all those hours put in to your dinosaur on the line, the adrenaline rush is REAL, to the point that after the fight is over, wheather victorious or defeated, you notice your entire body shaking.
It's awesome, really. No other game can deliver what The Isle does, for me that is. I know it can appear tedious to some, but once you get into it, it really is a unique experience.
Did you press the jump, take off button again while falling? You can save yourself from the crumple fall getting back into a glide.
These documentary style videos are CRIMINALLY underrated, kudos to you man :)
My husband’s favorite game is the Isle, he has the same thought points as it’s somewhat toxic with certain players. He likes to solo or pack with like dinos, but sometimes as a dinosuccus (or however you spell the gator guy) he ends up taking care of babies of different dino types. But once they’re able to fend for themselves he leaves. I recently started playing and it’s hard, so watching vids like these and the ones he recommends it’s getting easier. Awesome vid!
From my understanding, if I'm correct, the reason everyone rips the bodies open before they start eating is because the organs give more value to your diet without filling your stomach up as fast so people will just eat the organs first to get their nutritional value for their diet then they'll either eat the corpse as well(if they're really hungry) or they'll just move onto their next target to get more organs for their diet and such. That's why you tend to see a lot of corpses ripped open, but barely eaten at all. So, if I am correct about this stuff, I hope that this helps you out in the future.
Also I have noticed that barely anyone plays as Dryos in Evrima and I no clue why that is.
No one likes to play the small herbis unless they are socializers/memers on realism servers. It's a completely powerless, boring experience for many so that's why I take the position that they should have AI made of them first.
I used to play a lot of dryo but the devs like to kick it in the knees for no reason. Last update they nerfed the speed so its slower than omni, and if you use its ability omni also out stams dryo. Can't even jump over things most of the time cause collision boxes are so high above the dinos, so it's worse than legacy dryo rn. They also nerfed its damage (u4?), but didn't fix its trash hit box or give it alt attacks, so even if the attacker is smaller than itself and technically killable it can't really land hits well. Makes me sad because it was a good chill grow, now omni is just a better more fun dryo and its still awful

Some things that I’ll tell you about the game, with the diets and anything I see in the vid.
There is a in game system that tell you if you eat anymore you will puke, look for the yellow flash and you will know to not eat anymore.
Diets, specifically organs, the lungs give you carb diet( 3 dot diet), intestines give line diet and the heart gives protein(s diet). The stomach of of your victims give you what ever diet it ate last. At 24:02 was a lung you were holding.
If you can hold a body simply hold lmb( left mouse button) and shake you screen from left to right. It will shake the organs out. Another option is to bite the body to expose the organs.

Not sure if the restarts you mention are random/outside the set times, but if you’re unaware, the isle evirma official servers always reset at 2:09 and 8:09 EST time zone (both am and pm). You have to safelog by 2:05/8:05 at the latest to save your progress!
