I must be missing something. Live selling has a big challenge. If I'm wanting to buy a specific sports card, live selling doesn't help me. Online sites like eBay and COMC would be my source to source a specific card. Live selling might be advantageous for the buyers if they're finding deals on hot sports cards, but live selling is just a version of eBay. I'll admit Im not seeing live selling as the gamebreaking change that Geoff is seeing, so I guess time will tell. Best of luck.

I agree with this… this whole video seemed to be about online selling is what the store is focused on.. and I heard 20 second auctions.. 1 and 2 dollar cards.. that is not what I expect from a physical card store calling themselves HQ ?? So I confused, I thought it was about the physcial store he was going for...

I’m from SF. Moved to PHX 3 summers ago to start our own businesses.
But I love cards.
You can hire “merchandisers” like myself to buy certain checklist basketball cards out here in AZ for you.
The annual Arizona State card show is 2-3 weeks away.
Save plane rides. Just pay me a % fee to do your pickups and then mailing them out to you.
That’s how you can scale. Hire wholesalers around the country. Partner with people who specialize in certain markets and sports.
Are ya'll ever going to sell on your website? Also will the website ever be done by a professional, it looks pretty elementary

I’m surprised you went live auction for cards that are like $1 or $2 …. as a collector that is just simply not in my ball park… I want to know the consumer u r going for with live quick aucations of such low priced cards… who is that target person that is in the hobby ???
The entire What Not platform is for the bored and uneducated
yea I noticed that. Not to many numbered or paralleled cards. And people are overpaying for those cards
Need to have automated AI of the show cases where you can click on a card and view it and purchase it

How does the shipping work if you buy a card off Whatnot in the store?
If you purchase a card on what not it normally gets shipped out within 24hrs. It can take a little longer on weekends and holidays because of postal pickups
Do you need vintage baseball cards? Pre 1973? I have a bunch as others also do around me, have no easy way to liquidate same. Several thousand….anyway thanks!

I thought cards HQ was based on the physical cards store… this video seem to make it more of an online store…. Dont know why u would spend the money on a store front if most all ur cards r online… just be an online store..

IMO the fast paced live selling feels a little less card shop and more cash grab. We don't see the condition or get any specific understanding of the card being sold. It does turn me off to the streams, but I may be in minority.
As a small business owner myself, I feel there's no need to express that we're selling things for "a very healthy profit" but that's just me. I like to keep the numbers and dollar signs in house as it doesn't need to be public knowledge.
Live selling is a double-edged sword. Deals can be found but the fervor of a quick auction has me seeing buyers paying way over comps too often led by unscrupulous sellers hyping garbage. The buyers remorse is going to quickly sour their joy of collecting and run off so many. That alone is unsustainable long term.

The Traditional avoids the Sniping That occurs with Sudden Death. A snip is a real distasteful flavor of crap in your mouth when someone pulls the rig on the last blink of an eye. Consider that folks!
I’m pulling for Geoff but you can hear some panic in his voice. He should sublease some space to SGC and have them do on-site grading.

I don't do social media, but why can't you conglomerate the different medias into one show? Breakers used to break on youtube and breakerstv on the same stream. I think they had to have multiple cameras but that shouldn't be an issue.

Interesting to hear that Panini isn’t supporting your store. One of my main issues with your content is I feel you miss great opportunities to fix the hobby for the good by creating change through truth. Yet you never seem to be willing to take on a fight. You’re always so politically correct with even those who don’t deserve it. I did see your no AUTO Panini Prizm video. Kudos! Glad to see you starting to be more transparent. Regardless of folks opinion about you, it’s clear you have marketing and business skills. Therefore you know Panini is one of the worst run companies in America and are a prime example of why monopolies are bad. They could be a Wharton business school case study. I assume your hanging on to hope to get in with Panini for direct boxes, but if that ship sails, I look forward to more honest content about Panini from you. If everybody would stop over paying for terrible quality Panini releases prices would drop to better match the content and quality to the prices. Already happening with some retail at Walmart getting yellow clearance stickers.

This business model makes no sense
