Id say the lower hp dyno is due to lack of intsrcooler. 308hp is closer to IE the 290 number is heat soak. Happy with my jb4 and 40k miles warranty left. Just replaced my turbo under warranty :) Thanks for the good info!
@unci1185 yeah you could be right the car was starting to heat soak towards the last run. I was very happy with JB4 as well and had it for 5 years. I love that it doesn’t affect the cars NVH and rides like an OEM.
Love your car! Would you ever consider getting the refreshed mk7.5 golf r's rear tail lights? I think they'll make your golf look much more modern from the rear!
@Mt06 🙏 thank you! Euro tails are in my list but not something really high up in the must have! I am pretty happy on how the NA facelift R tail lights are specifically with the Scandinavian tail DTRL activated.
That dyno is reading relatively low as it should be hitting in the ballpark of 325-330 WHP. APR stage 1 makes about 338-340 WHP on an antequated tuning method. Great video anyway!
Im curious the difference between tunes in our climate im also in alberta should i get the chace to dyno this year ill post the numbers Have basic intake mods and stage 1 tune only Also with the manual curious of the difference put down/lost
@Ryley Velichka in AB we are very high up elevation wise. Given the higher altitude there’s power degradation. In terms of our power train the DSG has its good advantage.
