When you use wide elastic do you sew right over it when sewing the end seams together? As I have have tried and it doesn’t look right. I wondered if you fold the elastic in half and then sew over it? Sorry if this doesn’t make sense 💗

This tutorial isn’t really how I personally make scrunchies or the correct sizes. I do sew over the elastic but the seam isn’t on the outside it’s twisted to be in the middle.

I found method is not suitable for softer/slippery fabric like silk because it is almost impossible to get a clean and neat closure when the ends of the tube will not stay folded neatly on both sides before I sew it shut.

Depends on the elastic you use many have different stretch! ☺️ try using 22 inch material and trial the elastic in your hair first before making it into a Scrunchie so you don’t waste any
