Very nice demonstration Steve. The pontoon floats work very well they take a few min to install but are worth it when you see how it drives like a boat.
I like how drones enable the pilot to fly BVLOS.Flying in fog is part of my bucket list,and I don't see many pilots posting videos of those conditions . With the waterproof electronics and camera,I won't have to risk my Mavic Pro2. Excellent demo of its range in these conditions.

My question is with all the rules going on is it worth buying one. Where would I fly it so many restrictions. Any input would help. I would to use for when out an about and take pic or video of my surroundings.
TC 3:27 The aqua drone has it all. Except gimbal support while under water. I wonder if the gimbal extension rod would balance the wave action from the craft ?

I always wanted to have a FPV drone of my own but i can't afford it because the FPV drones are very expensive, and i can't do anything more than just watching your videos. I loved the EACHINE NOVICE IV and I also wanted to participate in the giveaway contest but the time was out. I hope some magic happens and i get a FPV drone beside my bed in the moring when i wake up. Again , i love your videos, keep making them.

Probably not because anything sitting on the ocean is very low (sea level) and moving up and down so a constant signal would be difficult for a restart.

I do have the GoPro 10 but have not yet put it use. The Spry+ has an FPV mode and can dive into water but if you hit the water at the wrong angle and speed somethings gonna break.
Beautiful, capable machine. Out of my price range for now, but I may start a savings account just for the purchase. It's a sweet machine. I especially like that it tracks the controller rather than the launch point.
Fascinating sUAS! the U.S., I'm not allowed to fly into fog. I'm required to have at least 3 miles visibility, stay at least 500' below the cloud ceiling, and stay 2000' away (horizontally) from any cloud (such as fog).
I'd like to see it in actual waves like oregon coast... Wife is into surfing and always asking me for fly my quads and film her.. but my custom fpv quads would not like the sea spray much... conformal coating goes soo far...
Hearing a lot of issues with connectivity loss, scam like customer service in terms of returns and warranties and software issues with quality of live image resolution. Any experiences with this? (Really the only thing holding me back from buying one)
This drone is a one of a kind drone. The only humans that should buy it are those that need a drone to land in the water because when a company makes a drone that is waterproof, it can't function like a DJI Mavic. So you get what you get for the purpose it is intended for. I have every drone under the sun due to my role as a RC Hobby reviewer. I only use the Splashdrone 4 when I need to fly/land in and around water and in every case it works great and provides exactly the photos and video I expect.

In the US we have weather requirements to FLY , probably why you don't see that many FOG videos...

@T-HopPlayz and worth every penny. This drone is horrible. The technology sucks. The screen freezes every 2 seconds.. controller is unresponsive.

If you are often around water, this is the perfect drone. I have another SplashDrone 4 video coming out on Monday.
Thats the kind of drone that ive been looking for but i wish it can accommodate a heavier payload of at least 4kg.

What if you made a fin for the gopro so it always faces forward as it gets dragged through the water?
One could certainly do that to capture a certain type of footage cruising through the water
