JJ has talent can make throws when called upon has a great oline and weapons to start off his career should be interesting to see the play calling and how the coaches decide to approach each matchup on Sunday

JJ is in a great position to succeed long term. I agree with you.

I've already seen thru the interviews KOC has started to really get to JJ already in positive ways. Simple highlights of his mini camp throws have shown more of marrying the hips/feet and being deliberate throwing the ball. Small steps but with time/maturing/learning the offense JJ will be in a good spot mid season/late season to take the reins. I dont think people are taking more stock in how well Sam Darnold could succeed. For god sakes if KOC can get Mullens and Dobbs to play above their ceiling then Darnold can succeed as well.

We think KOC is that dude too! The guy knows how to prep his QB's to play at a high level. Big things for both Vikings QB's this year.

JJ personally knows the greatest football player and the greatest hockey player of all time! He has both their numbers on his phone!

JJ is going to be a great QB just like Tom Brady he is a team player and knows how to win that's what you learn at Michigan.

Tom Brady isn't a great QB, he's the greatest. If Tom wasn't so successful in the NFL would he still be considered one of Michigan's all time QB's? Serious question. Say he never played in the NFL at all, would Michigan fans still say he's one of the best QB's to play at Michigan?

I've watched every snap at UM for the last 40+ years... I'd tell Vikings brass, go ahead and start him, throw him to the wolves immediately. He can handle it. Nothing rattles him. He's too positive. You punch him in the mouth and he'll genuinely thank you for teaching him what a right cross looks like. He'll appreciate being allowed to make mistakes and they won't happen twice.

I understand what you mean. I would just say it doesn't hurt to get more time to acclimate to the NFL world. No rush for him, KOC will know when he's ready and I would trust the HC's judgement.

I've got high expectations for JJ but the Vikings don't seem to plan on starting him day 1. He is currently sitting as QB3 and I think that's perfect for him. JJ is the type of person who WANTS to prove himself to earn the spot and is a team player. KOC wants to give JJ time and space to adapt and develop before putting him out there and I think it will come at just the right time, but probably not week 1 if at all in his first season

I think O'Connell will do whats right by his rookie QB. When he's ready he'll play. Sam Darnold will be a great resource for JJ.

These takes on JJ are ridiculous. I thought it was all about winning games. If you take out the 4th quarter (which JJ didn't even play in until like the 8th game of the season), JJ's numbers match up against all the other top QB prospects.

What takes? We're simply showing you what he does well and what he will need to improve as he plays in the NFL. The game is about winning, the best Qb in the NFL who wins the most games right now went to Texas Tech and had .500 record. JJ will have to play a different role for his NFL team in the future. At Michigan he had one of if not the best coaching staff in the country, a great o-line, an unstoppable run game, and the best defense in the country. He will not have those same luxuries every year in the NFL. I believe he can be a very good pro. I believe he will have some growing pains like many of the other QB's in this draft that's all.

Who the hell is this dude? He had JJ as the #6 QB in the draft? Seriously? So he had Penix, Nix, and Rattler higher than JJ? 😂 .
