Regarding the CZ457, to get it sub MOA you would probably need to glass-bed the stock and torque it more than factory spec or put it into aluminum chassis like MDT. The other issue is ammo - you would need to use super precise and consistent ammo for it, probably something that is normally used for olympic shooting
My CZ457 Varmint in a MDT XRS absolutely loves SK Rifle Match which is cheap for 'match' .22lr ammo, it will routinely print 0.85 MOA at 100m if I pull my thumb out with 10 round groups, though figuring out the best action screw torque #'s takes a fair amount of experimentation.
I'm an old soldier and retired from the Army. After watching gun countless channels since UA-cam started, I have to say that this is one of the best out there. Always simple, straightforward information with no B.S. Keep that going brother. Blessings....

I have yet to meet a CZ rifle that likes CCI at all. They love SK, Wolf, and Aguila. It's odd because CCI SV is basically the poor man's match ammo in just about everything other than CZ.
CCI standard is cheap crap. SK match rifle is where its at.. But its more expensive.. not many of the american made ammunitions that are good, US makes bulk ammo not good ammo. Rimfire shooting is big in europe and that is reflected in the worlds best rimfire ammuntion from SK, RWS, Lapua..

Conclusion was that everything was better than winchester and cci he had his own. tested:Norma tac 22, norma tac 22 subsonic, geco rifle, geco semi-auto and cci blazer. Pretty standard and even spread with all ammo and groups were consistent for fixed 4x zoom with thick crosshair scope(dont remember brand). At 50 meters all printed around 3cm group while geco rifle and semi-auto did best staying closer to half of that. At 100m quick test both ammo shot around 4-5cm group. For those results i could blame wind and scope which is not exacly meant for precise aiming. Takeaway from that: Least from cheap stuff US made ammo is worser when it comes to accuracy. Lapua and sk would be my pick if actually want to test what rifle is capable to shoot. Didnt had those with me because i have tippman elite m4(12.5 barrel) and it runs with cheap stuff good enough. Around 5cm group at 100m with norma tac 22. People with me at range are usually so hurry to go competive shooting that i rarely have time to actually test stuff like i would want.
The lead weights....if you wrap it in a grocery plastic bag it is easier to remove. On my service rifle I cut about 2" off front of lead weight and add lead to inside of handguards to balance at handguard , ring my A2 service rifle is 16lbs. Your cz should be shooting better than that at 50yds.try better ammo.
shooting sub M.O.A. groups is not particularly easy with any gun? I've hit .50 groups at 50 yds with my old mod 52 Winchester rifle quite a few times, but never consistently, ammo has a lot to do with it, unless your one of the "few" that spend thousands of dollars to hit tiny groups consistently, the avg rifle shoots about as well as your video suggests. good job!
I did not expect the m/41b. Gorgeous rifles. I used to own one, but I sold it about a month ago as I needed the money for my PRS career. As a note, the 71 is not the rebuild date. These were all rebuilt from the most accurate m/96es in the mid 40s.
Did alright! I should have used irons. I had a bunch of jams due to the red dot mount and finally got fed up with it when it caused me to time out on the first rapid fire stage. I would have broke 2600/High Master if I had just used irons the whole time.
@@JaredAF Nothing wrong with irons. I'm well below your level but I find that when I begin to push myself hard on a drill, I really start to long for irons. I think it's just me not wanting to get better at good dot presentation rather than irons being "better", but I am very stubborn!
Excellent work with all 4 platforms! Each of those takes a different set of muscle memory to hold for shot placement and your groups are very commendable. I doubt many people can master all 4 platforms the way you have and being so young you have a lot of future potential !!! Keep up the great channel content!

It's nice to see someone your age diving off into Bullseye shooting, it was my sport for many years. I have a RRA Ar and they do a great job with fitting, like yours @100 yards I can shoot a one hole group, I never got the opportunity to secure a Hammeri 208 or the 215, however, I have had great results with my S&W Mod-41 and Vintage High Standard Mod -106. They are accurate and dependable and leaves it all up to me to score with them. Anyway, Great Channel and content, keep up the good work - Dave
Careful with a cracked frame, My High Standard with a cracked frame started doubling and tripling on me. Actually in a younger granddaughter hands when it first happened.
Good effort! As others have said, SK at a minimum for your rimfires and your centerfires may have done it with more tuned loads. Either way, it's great to see a younger shooter in the bullseye sports!!!!
Nice, I have a 208 too, great gun. The way I look at this stuff is this: random variable distribution means that you're going to get roughly 70% of your rounds into roughly 1/3 of the total distribution range. So when you see 7-8 rounds out of 10 into 1moa, and 2 "fliers", that's expected for a 2.5-3moa firearm. It's tempting to think that if you were more careful those fliers could have been inside 1moa too...but then the other 8 should have been basically one hole. This might not be perfect because the actual distribution pattern might not be exactly a normal distribution, but it's probably something like that.
For the 457 you should use subsonic ammo if you're shooting at 100 yards you're going transonic. Idk if it's true or not but I've heard that most .22lr will actually start slowing down past 16". This makes me want to get .22's again.
Hey dude I'm a relatively new gun owner, and i noticed on a few of your videos that you shoot with 1 eye open. I've read conflicting things on this subject between both eyes or just one eye for shooting and just wondering what insight you'd have on the topic. The only info that seems to pop up for both eyes is 'situational awareness' which is valid, but not really for range shooting. Also would your insight differ for the inclusion of a red dot sight. Great attempt at the 1MOA A D Challenge. Somewhere on UA-cam Mike (Bloke) explains mathematically why a 3 shot group is meaningless & why a 10 shot group consisting of three 3 shot groups is still a 2 MOA (or whatever) group. Makes sense when he explains it but I can't quote any it. Fine shooting though.

We are not allowed semi-automatic centre fire. We have no prohibition of short barrelled rifles in the United Kingdom, nor magazine restrictions, nor suppressor moderator restrictions. 50 BMG is fine and Kalashnikov are fine provided they are in a shotgun calibre or rimfire or manually operated if centre fire. So much logic in Gun control.
Forgive me if this video is referenced somewhere in this challenge but I think it was Backfire TV had a really interesting video a couple weeks ago. He went to the range and offered money to anyone that could shoot 1 MOA and it took forever. This time there was an added element that made it harder and I do believe it was with but either way it was fascinating to me considering how many people casually say their rifle is easy under 1 MOA and stuff like that.
I shoot note I think everyone had to shoot totally cold which undoubtedly made it harder. However it definitely made it more relevant to a hunting scenario which is what it was primarily geared towards I think.

As if under any circumstance doing 2.5 MOA standing isn't literally Olympic level performance. For reference, 2.5 MOA standing would clean the off hand stage in service rifle and have room to spare. It is RARE that anyone cleans that stage, even for people like Brandon Green, Dan Lowe etc

That AR is pretty neat. Had no idea they had A2 style handguards like that in a freefloat configuration. Very interesting, I would love to see it disassembled to see the sleeve you are referencing. Even though I know the early M16a4s had the A2 guards, it doesn't feel right unless an A4 has the Knights Armament rail.
Check out the white oak or rock river A2 float tube. unfortunately the tube requires you to punch out those plastic inserts on the RAS rail if you want to use it with the tube. there are a lot of images of the old USMC team before they were disbanded with a setup like that.
Yo Jared! I need your guidance. I’ve interacted with you a few times on here so figured I’d give it a shot. I’m determined to get decent at bullseye style shooting. I’m using a Beretta 92GTS. I’m still quite new to shooting pistols for accuracy and not self defensive shooting. Beretta I get past like 15ish yards my shots start hitting waaaaay low. Everything I can find online talks about recoil anticipation when hitting low. I’m very familiar with that and have for the most part overcome it. This is not that. You’re a badass long range handgun shooter and bullseye is not very popular online so I figured I’d give it a shot and ask. As always love the videos! I’m using irons btw.
Berettas typically hit very low. You usually have to cover the target with the dot/front sight at about 25yds. I'd recommend getting an LPA/Target sight set from their website. Also for accurizing, look up WAL's conical bushing on berettaforum

*If you didn't bin your ammo before doing this, you're not very 'expert'.* All of my ammo is weighed on a thousandths scale. I take an entire box apart, then weigh every dang one of em. Put them in order.
Bloke goes into great detail why he used a longer string, it drastically reduces the potential to luck into a good group, and puts stress on the shooter's consistency. The whole point is to highlight what a high standard 1 MOA actually is and the level of firearm and shooter necessary to achieve it, since the current discourse tends to treat it as an expectation for midrange firearms.
@@jason200912 In fairness that tends to be the strings that I see manufacturers do when they're calculating mechanical accuracy for their own purposes, although notably NOT when they're doing it for the public's benefit (they also don't using maximum radius, they use average deviation)l That said, they probably didn't do it here because it doubles the cost of ammo, introduces shooter fatigue (especially over multiple rifles) and most important makes for more boring footage.
@@mazeofthemind560 in ww2 they used 20 rd strings and 300 meter distances. Today almost none of them do moa tests themselves but if they do, it's with a 5 shot string. If you do the 10rd string then there should be a 10-20 minute cooling period every 3 shots or so

for absolute precision there is no reason not to close or cover one eye if leaving it open bothers/distracts you.
Your second shot with your ar15 was a huge flyer, it didnt even hit the paper target with the black bullseye on it, your group was atleast 12" moa.

My stock model 41 S&W with cheap $60 ebay optic shoots about the same group size from a rest also with CCI SV lead bullet ammo.

That AR is pretty neat. Had no idea they had A2 style handguards like that in a freefloat configuration. Very interesting, I would love to see it disassembled to see the sleeve you are referencing.
Even though I know the early M16a4s had the A2 guards, it doesn't feel right unless an A4 has the Knights Armament rail.
Check out the white oak or rock river A2 float tube. unfortunately the tube requires you to punch out those plastic inserts on the RAS rail if you want to use it with the tube. there are a lot of images of the old USMC team before they were disbanded with a setup like that.
You'll get a teeny bit more consistency with subsonic 22 instead of full velocity loads

Yo Jared! I need your guidance. I’ve interacted with you a few times on here so figured I’d give it a shot. I’m determined to get decent at bullseye style shooting. I’m using a Beretta 92GTS. I’m still quite new to shooting pistols for accuracy and not self defensive shooting. Beretta I get past like 15ish yards my shots start hitting waaaaay low. Everything I can find online talks about recoil anticipation when hitting low. I’m very familiar with that and have for the most part overcome it. This is not that. You’re a badass long range handgun shooter and bullseye is not very popular online so I figured I’d give it a shot and ask. As always love the videos! I’m using irons btw.
Berettas typically hit very low. You usually have to cover the target with the dot/front sight at about 25yds. I'd recommend getting an LPA/Target sight set from their website. Also for accurizing, look up WAL's conical bushing on berettaforum

All of my ammo is weighed on a thousandths scale. I take an entire box apart, then weigh every dang one of em. Put them in order.

Bloke goes into great detail why he used a longer string, it drastically reduces the potential to luck into a good group, and puts stress on the shooter's consistency. The whole point is to highlight what a high standard 1 MOA actually is and the level of firearm and shooter necessary to achieve it, since the current discourse tends to treat it as an expectation for midrange firearms.

@@jason200912 In fairness that tends to be the strings that I see manufacturers do when they're calculating mechanical accuracy for their own purposes, although notably NOT when they're doing it for the public's benefit (they also don't using maximum radius, they use average deviation)l
That said, they probably didn't do it here because it doubles the cost of ammo, introduces shooter fatigue (especially over multiple rifles) and most important makes for more boring footage.

Today almost none of them do moa tests themselves but if they do, it's with a 5 shot string.
If you do the 10rd string then there should be a 10-20 minute cooling period every 3 shots or so
