ArcticToast69 none of these animations were made by the creator. They're all a bunch of different ones. That USC uses CSS animations. The KAC PDW uses COD animations. The Honey Badger/SVU uses Hypers animations. They're basically all from Gamebanana.
A lot of these are ok, and then there are some that are great, some are terrible. It's like it was put together by a bunch of different animators of differing skill levels. Some of them are super smooth and fluid, and others are janky and almost, stiff in their movement. Other than that, great video!
@Gammy Leddack yea, and the ones that were being reloaded as if your character was putting it either in their left shoulder, or just craning their head to the right of the gun just doesn't sit right with me. As an avid shooter myself, I can attest that those reloads, are just incorrect
the reason why some are okay/bad is most likely because they were from a skin/model hosting website like Gamebanana for CSS (or some other source game, but CSS was the largest in skins/models) weapons. probably picked out the skins he liked, asked for permission from the original maker of the weapon skin, and put it on the mod pack.
I remember there was a "secret" function that nobody knew about for the AN94 and the M14 where you could do shift+r or shift+e or shift+right click or something like that to change their firemodes. On the AN94 you could switch to the iconic 2rnd burst and it was incredibly OP for some reason because it handled it as 2 shots at the same time. Because of how OP it was you could absolutely grief the shit out of servers and rack up insanely high K/Ds like 105/0 without anyone standing a chance and the best part was that barely anybody knew this pack had that feature.
Ah, yes, those sounds from early 2010s CS:S mods. 4:17 That was a skin for the M1014 in CS:S I had once... yes, that thing got filled with 7 shells instead of 2.
I had it too except I changed the script so it only loaded 2, sadly this made the reload animation buggy and it would idle in the last frame of the shell-in animation until another one played

@ good weapon reloads exist back from when the super shotgun came in doom in the 80s, 2011 and they couldnt add a simple bullet model that enters in the gun, also, this addon is from 2013, that makes it even worse.
The mad lad actually did the Father of all weapon animations. Most people here I can bet you have already seen all of these while they were shooting and reloading in flatgrass and construct

My real first weapons pack on Garry’s mod. Although I long since moved on to newer and better ones, M9K weapons will always hold a special place in my heart.
2:42 fun fact: on a real G3 you don't have to push the bolt up at the end, because that is the safe position. If you did that and didn't push the bolt back down then the gun wouldn't fire.
Is the G3 like the MP5 where you SHOULD pull the bolt up before taking out the mag and slapping it back down when the mag is put in. Not the biggest gun nut here so I could be completely wrong.
I wish more games had reloads like the 1858 at 0:31. I just love it. Even after not playing Gmod in over 10 years, that reload is stuck in my head. Edit: Also sad to say that I think all revolver reloads are bad. I only like the 1858 out of them all but not because it's good, just because I think it's so goofy that it's good.

Very fond of the unique P90 animation. I feel a lot of the reloads for that gun are identical ( and yes Im aware there's not a whole lot you can do different about it )
I have the same gun range map and all the M9K mods as well. I'll sometimes fill it with NPCs from a map save I made. I actually use it for testing weaponry.
M9K is the one mod that I'm sure everyone (including me) got as one of their first addons in Garry's mod. I remember in 2017, when I was much younger first getting this game. I didn't get the game for mods, I got it for the experience, and played the base game for around a week before getting addons. This was probably my first mod I installed, because it was the largest weapon pack in Garry's Mod before MW19 came out and shat on it. Still, these weapons have a place in my heart and I wish that someone would make an Arc-9 version of these weapons
It's a good history of addons, but still - TFA is more polished in this regard, since many of weapon addons works only there (or even without weapon base at all)
I agree, TFA is great because of the view model support and the ability to customize weapons with attachments. There's also a crap ton of TFA guns on the workshop, whereas M9K only has the basic packs made by the creator and a few packs or guns on the base.
M9k guns might as well be officially embedded into gmod as non mod weapons considering pretty much every single person who has atleast 100 hours on gmod has the M9K mods
They just made the models and such, the animations are from a lot of other games, compiled into one. You can see it on a few guns. I do not know hat games they're from, but sure it can't be made by them, because the quality drastically changes.
While overpowered, as long as you restrict the more crazy weapons (*COUGH* SPAS12 AND AN94 *COUGH*), it is perfect for fast paced deathmatch, while newer weapon packs are better for RP.

M9k might not be the most realistic weapon base, but it’s still the most awesome, ludicrous and overpowered one in my heart.

M9K was nice and iconic, but ARC9 is fully customizable and way more realistic. Its even more overpowered than m9k which surprises me.
It is outdated by now, even if you dont want to use these laggy ARC9, TFA, ARCCW etc. you can find some good packs on standard weapon base
while obviously outclassed by like everything now, you can’t say this mod isn’t nostalgic

Personally I'm using TFA, since it has viewmodel support, more modders use this and creator updates it frequently.
