- What’s up, #starwars fans? Today we’re going to be going over the BEST Clone Trooper Unit. That being the 21st Nova Corps. A lot of people call the 501st Legion the best unit of the #clonewars, but hardly any of them know about the Galactic Marines. So let’s go over this in a special #starwarsexplained video that I feel very passionate about. Especially since Bacara and the boys in maroon are my favorites by far!

Exellent video!
Just one thing. When people think of Galactics marines they think of the armor that they wear during Order 66.
The thing is that i highly doubt that the GM's armor is by default the snow trooper armor because then they had to use it in desert or jungle.. Problem is that even the lore say that their armor was the Order 66 one because apparently their armors and visors made use of "synthmesh".
So do you think that they used the order 66 one everytime and everywhere or they used a regular armor and then depending of the needs changed it for a more specialised one?
That’s a great question! Their armor is NOT the Snowtrooper armor!
Actually, Commander Bacara actually had 2 sets of armor and his second was COMPLETELY different from his snowtrooper armor; he wore a normal phase 2 helmet with a visor and some ammo canisters around his chest. You can check out Clone Wars Adventures Vol 6. To the Vanishing Point to see some of the awesome clone designs. I believe it’s the second story!
So while I do believe their main/go-to armor was the snowtrooper armor we see (as their main campaign was on Mygeeto), we do know they have different sets.
Bacara had two sets and so did many of the Marines.
The armor the GM utilized was a versatile armor set. It was especially resilient against inhospitable environments and why they preferred to use it and did almost all the time. The synthmesh helped keep things like snow, ash, sand, and debris out as well giving them a piece of kit that imo was far more usable, provided greater mobility and, excellent protection from any condition
I can respect a man who shows appreciation for a baddass clone unit. You should do the 91s next.

The 21st Nova Corps was the clone unit we should have seen more of. They had many difficult campaigns with huge feats of combat expertise, especially when they ripped B2 Superbattle Droids apart with their bare hands. Bacara may have been a cold and hardass commander, but you need to commend his excellent command and his excellence in combat due to his ARC training. Commander Keller definitely deserves a mention too. One of the coolest looking commanders and the short time we see him in the comics makes him one of the coolest commanders (no pun intended since he leads the 44th Arctic Legion). The Nova corps deserves it’s own series on Disney+
P.S. Stop forgetting about Keller!! 🤣🤣
The only appearance of the 21st in the show is during the Second Battle of Geonosis with Commander Jett and his men but yes it's a bit frustrating that they didn't get an other appearance...Even juts one during the latest seasons would have been enought .We could have seen Bacara and the marines during the Mygeeto Campaign with they new weaponds, tanks and armors. By the way I agree that Commander Keller has the most drip among all the other clones. It's funny that as Bacara, Keller just don't wear the regular marine armor that all of their men wear even if it allow a better protection for cold environments. These two chads understand that style is more important that practicality in battle lmao
I don’t forget about Keller, brother. We simply don’t have enough info/appearances with him. When saying “the best were comparable to even Nulls and Alphas”, Keller was one of the clones I was referencing. As, it is DIFFICULT to become a Commander in the 21st.
I also did mention Bacara’s excellent command and the fact that he was the best combatant around👀when I brought up his creation of the tactics for new vehicles and training under Cort Davin. There was absolutely no stopping him. He was a unit on his own.

Ah yes, the Galatic Marines. Despite their commander's empty personality, they were absolutely BADASS! FOR THE REPUBLIC!

The fact that you realize the Glactic Marines are the best non-special unit in the clone army got you my sub man. So many star wars channels don't realize this.
Looking at their feats, they’re even better than some special units. I’d say they can compete with an average Commando or even ARC, they seem to be the closest thing to Alpha-17 we can get other than Marshal Commanders.
@marshalcommander I definitely see that. I honestly think that their motivation and lust to kill made them what they are. I'm a former infantry marine and I'm honestly blown away how accurately Lucas got it compared to real life Marines. Any Galactic marine would make a great arc or commando.

I admit, I thought Bacara was as big a psychopath as Ki Adi and an unreasonable perfectionist, but I’ve researched him and the marines more and have learned better. He and the 21st really were the best in the GAR. Respect.

Great video. You give them the respect that they desserve. For the anecdote, back in the days when I played with my legos (as probably a good part of the Star Wars fans at the time 😅) I absolutelly loved the set inspired from the Clone Wars and Episode 3. And as I wanted some minifigures of Bacara and his Galactics Marines for my clone army, I maded some custom marines with old snow troopers and commanded an old Clone Army Custom Bacara. At the time with an other friend we wanted to do a big stop motion about some cool battles during the Clone Wars with our favourite units, for him it would have been the 212th Attack Battalion and for me of course it would have been the 21st. However we never did it, but now when I'm rewatching those old lego stop-motions it makes me want to get my old 21st Nova Corps clone minifigures to make a glorious animation about the best clones in the GAR. If I'm too lazy to do it lmao I will expose them on my shelf as a nice piece of nostalgia from my childhood.

Yes!, i will say they are the most elite unit i'd say the 501st is second in terms of most elite unit manly because it had two of the best clone commanders being Rex and Appo, with the coruscant guard being third, forth being the 327th.
I’d personally say in terms of skill for the average soldier it’d go 21st Nova Corps and then either the 327th or 91st. Followed closely by the Coruscant Guard and 501st. Neyo, like Bacara, expected perfection from his men.
