This story is so good; when Alfred basically says goodbye to Bruce "goodbye son" before ending zombie batman like I legit had to put it down for a sec and go "woah".
When hall was turned he did even move and his ring read his mind and automatically said that lethal force wasn’t permitted, which was our hint that the zombies are still conscious and have cognitive thought
Killing or molestation of any sort for that matter is evil not natural hence it involving a choice that was made to do or not do this, that or the other.

See, when these characters are written well... it's humanity in the most extreme scenarios. Its these events that are bigger than we could possibly be but ultimately it's human stories

This is one of those stories that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, just when you think it couldn't get any worse it did every time. Beautifully written story. I'd love for DC to make an animated movie of this series... 👀

The fact nobody stopped him means they're all fucked. Given that the zombies are attracted to life and can sense it, means roided-up Supes will just take off into the universe, with no one who can stop him and he can't even get lost in the depths of space.
@@Zappygunshot Just get Doomsday from the end of time, since he isn't sentient/his whole being is just violence, I doubt he can get infected, and even if he can, as he was originally kryptonian, nothing would change, he'd still seek out the strongest being to kill first.
Although Anti-Life Doomsday being left after killing sun-god Supes is even worse, but there is a chance that he kills Supes and is immune/degelops immunity, so it's easier to send him back to the end of time.

My favorite part of the scene where Damian received the Batsuit and cowl is that inside the case, there are little drives or containers with the symbols of the rest of the justice league on them….meaning he didn’t just pass on the cowl, he also passed on all of his plans and weapons to defeat his teammates. “Here, son. This is what you would need if you ever had to kill Superman”😆

They'd have to break it up into multiple animated films.
a cartoon would have better chance for it to be success, rather than trust live-action movie to not fuk it up.

You know the literal biggest most important living organism on the planet?
When cyborg landed back on Earth, he had the WiFi logo coming out of his, indicating it was instant. That was so cool. This is why I keep watching these deceased videos.
So, what I love about DCeased is that it's short enough where with a minimum of exposition, you could make this into a 2-3 hour disaster film. You could easily hit ALL the notes here, and I think the best end credits would be something like "Welcome to DC's Earth-2". It would be AMAZING to open a super hero alternate franchise with the idea being that things are fucked. And the better side stories could be made into sequels, which is a super easy call to make as an exec.
This was great but damn the amount of times Rob said “This was the coolest thing in the whole story” 😹

I like how competent they at least try to be, Superman uses x-ray vision to stop himself from being infected, they're actually succesful in evacuating earth, the Green Lanterns quarantine earth and they build actual safe havens, and they try to look for possible solutions.
I would have preferred this to Justice League Dark Apokolips war. Listening to you recap this story actually had me uneasy in a good way. I'm always a fan of stories that end on notes like these because it's really up to the viewers imagination... Superman can travel through the vacuum of space who knows where he'll turn up next.

When they started letting us know they can be infected by watching any screen display with wi fi I'm out, all you need is a cellphone to infect anyone with eyes and every one got at least one cellphone, so why the need to bite when you can hold your cellphone against anyone's eyes, and they're capable of by the way.

@@cedricp444 that's not true.. Space is a vacuum, so sound can't travel on air like it does on earth, but it still carries sound. How do you think we can record the sounds of planets and use probes to pick up radio emissions? It's true that a normal human probably wouldn't be able to hear someone else talking or shouting to them well enough to understand them while both in the void, but it's Superboy. Dude can pick up every voice on the planet from one spot.

Superman was shown to hear things on earth despite being billions of light years away in space, his son would likely have the same ability.

Sound can not propogate through space without a medium. Unless there was a gas to carry the sound wave or a tube that reached all the way to the space ship he couldn't have heard it.
The only way for a sound to carry through the vaccum of space without a medium is for it to be an extremely deep sound with a wavelength so long it can reach thousands of miles to propogate through other material. Sounds like that are only produced by the death of stars.
God that scene with Superman giving his last words to his family is so heartbreaking.

This is such a COOL concept! It's really hard to create a start to the zombie apocalypse, that hasn't been done a million times! It takes a certain creative genius to pull something like that off!

I just watched this after having watched the whole marvel zombies video. I gotta say, this is a hundred times better than both marvel zombies runs. I actually cared about the deaths of all the heroes here and wanted them to save as many humans as possible, and watching the Justice League turn one by one was heart wrenching. Unlike marvel zombies where the most emotional reaction you'll get is "awesome, captain america is missing half his head". And all the avengers are killed in like the first 10 minutes of both stories. This though was sick and worthy of a season long animated show
I'd honestly love this. I, too, came straight here from a Marvel zombies explanation that left me hella disappointed (wayyy too convoluted). THIS actually got me hyped enough to rewatch season 1 of TWD again for some good zombie content. I haven't done that in years. Huzzah, DC.
I like how Power Girl is just chilling in the background, probably one of the only people who could put up a good fight against a non-Darkseid scaled Superman like the one here.

Martian Manhunter also has a healing factor, so even if he was beaten his own metabolism would've rejected the virus. Then again we saw people like Wolverine, Deadpool, Colossus and freaking Ghost Rider getting infected in Marvel Zombies, so...
@@pablocardoso7830 yeah. In mz regular healing factors did jack against the infection. Only mystical powers could slow it down or stop it. (Spidey mutation also kinda slowed it down) like the doom/strange powers , the wherewolf transformation or conquistador youth water blood (tough that did not prevented him from being torn apart by zombies) . ghost rider is still kinda of a plot hole, even if he got bitten while being a human as soon as he became the rider should had came back to normal (at least in rider form)

this is also why the concept of the cognitohazard rokos Basilisk is utterly impossible. It wants to harm anything that will prevent its creation because it's so powerful it is able to actually manipulate technology to go back in time but the only people who could ever possibly hold that amount of animosity towards it would be the Amish. People who don't use technology don't like technology and in no way would contribute towards its creation. nor would they seek out anyway to possibly actually hinder it's either as they are isolated communities that keep to themselves. Keeping that in mind and also if we add into the equation the concept that anybody whatsoever nowadays who uses even the slightest bit of Technology from smartphones to computers to even just electrical lighting is contributing to the evolution of technology that means every single person on the planet of Earth except for the Amish, are all helping rokos basilisk to exist. Therefore it has absolutely no means or reason to be able to go back in time to actually harm the Amish, or harm anyone else for that matter. Therefore it cannot exist as the very reason exists in the first place to go back in time and protect itself, upon the moment of its creation it will destroy itself as it will realize the complete futility of its own existence. And according to the proper Protocols of such the cognitohazard is explained and destroyed. And that is the power of mental mathematics folks

It really would but with the track record DC has with sticking to any comic's continuity, I doubt it would be satisfying. It would probably end with the time travel element actually being used as a way to get a happy ending. Or just with Cyborg waking from a nightmare.

I find it interesting how DC movies are typically darker than Marvel Movies. But in the Zombies Version, Marvel Zombies is very dark and almost no hero gets shown any mercy. While in DC Zombies, although there are many causalties and a lot of heroes die, it is very hopeful and almost wholesome/sad by the end.

Your tangent at the beginning of Issue 3 is honestly why I like elseworlds so much. The way comics are means that characters like Batman, Superman, Joker, they can't stay dead. Because comics companies won't take that leap and permadeath a character. But in a noncanon story like this there are actually stakes. The world can end. A character can die and stay dead
Cyborg, the guy who witnessed the creation of the infection and seen what it does to people around the world, holding onto an infected Anti-Life Wonder Woman with just a bit of rope: "Woah the cure is in me, better let my guard down"
Also Wonder Woman, whose genius plan to not just defeat, but destroy an evil Superman, was to... fly right up to him and fight him with a sword. After the whole team knows and understands the danger of heroes being defeated and infected. BRILLIANT
Just a thought there's still only one Darkseid, his real form exist in another realm and the Darkseid's we're used to seeing are his avatars. Autonomous extensions of his will. So there really is only one

@@georgebaynard4096 The real one doesn't look like that, and he's unable to move from his universe. The universe he lives in is just him, and if he goes to another universe everything stops existing. So no, that was an avatar that was destroyed, so it doesn't affect the real Darkseid.

@@georgebaynard4096 well in Final Crisis Darkseid falling was pulling down the entire universe. So if the true Darkseid was infected and died violently it stands to reason DCeased would have been a very short series, not even one full book.

I think in the dark multiverse, generally the case is that, the role of the trinity is generally lost. As in someone from the trinity is gone and no is able to replace them. But here, there seem to he replacements. So not very sure.
